GENERAL INFORMATIONRegistration Deadline is June 14th so please register on or before that date using one of three registration options listed above. Registrations received will be given priority according to the date received in the Community Education office. Notification will not be sent if accepted into class. You will be contacted only if we are unable to register you for a course. If a class is filled or cancelled, the full fee will be refunded. Personal requests for cancellation must be made at least 2 business days prior to the start of class to receive a refund. Unless otherwise indicated, classes are listed by the grade level of the student as of September 2013. Due to construction at the High School/Middle School complex this summer most of the classes will be held at Huth, Sidway and Kaegebein.

Prompt transportation to and from the program is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

AGES 3-4 (+ Parent)

KidsPlay Outdoor PC Soccer Whether you are a 3 year old who has an early interest in soccer or a 34 year old looking for a fun way to introduce your child to organized sports, PC Soccer is a perfect fit for you. KidsPlay coaches work in partnership with parents to give young players 1:1 instruction during their initial exposure to the game. Each class begins with 10-15 minutes of individual instruction followed by fun instructional games that parents and children can play together. Class concludes each week with a parent vs child or child vs child scrimmage. Two KidsPlay coaches teach a maximum of 18 children in each class. A KidsPlay T-Shirt is included in the program fee. Please note that PC Soccer is a parent-child activity. An active parent or guardian 18 years or older must accompany a child in each session.

AGES 4-6

KidsPlay Outdoor Soccer Level I Soccer is an ideal sport for young players. The game is easy to learn, contains constant activity, and provides plenty of opportunity for players to run and learn skills. Soccer Level I hosts small-sided games and scrimmages allowing for plenty of touches on the ball. Even at introductory levels, our coaches are adamant about teaching basic support and teamwork. No Blob Soccer is allowed! The philosophy of Level I Soccer stresses skill development and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Half of each class is devoted to fun instructional training and games with the remaining half devoted to scrimmage. A KidsPlay T-Shirt is included in the program fee.

GRADES K-12 Summer Yoga for Kids & Teens Yoga is great for kids, too! Learn yoga poses, find a new way to breathe, improve posture and take the time to stretch and relax. Research shows that yoga helps children improve overall health and self-esteem. Come get your yoga on!

Little Vikes Cheer Camp Little Vikes Cheer Camp is for any elementary school girl. We will learn cheers, chants, jumps, tumbling, and basic stunts. You will need a white t-shirt, puffy paint, spool of ribbon, hair rubber band, water bottle, and spirit! Awards will be given and it will be a lot of fun. Join us for fun in the sun, excercise, and team building!

Explore And More This program will provide engaging, hands-on learning in a fun and interactive environment! Developmental activities in reading, music, art and creative movement/dance will be presented over each two hour session. Each session will be centered on a theme (including Dr. Seuss, the World of Disney and many more) and is designed to increase your child’s school readiness. GRADES 1-5 Youth Lacrosse Summer boys youth lacrosse program for players that were in grades 1-5 during the 2012-13 school year. The 5 sessions will consist of skill work and informal scrimmages. Full equipment is required including helmet, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves, cleats, stick and cup. Please contact Steve Steck at [email protected] with any questions.

Sports Camp Do you love to play? Come and play all day at Sports Camp! We play baseball, basketball, floor hockey, rock climbing and archery. There’s also lacrosse, soccer and ultimate Frisbee. Bring your lunch and play all day! Full weeks are required to register for sports camp. No single days are available. There will not be class on July 4th. Cost: $110 per child per week for full days from 8:00-5:00 Cost: $60 per child for half days from 8:00-12:00 or

GRADES 3 Math Facts Camp Why not make the transition to 3rd grade math a little easier? During a four week period, this course will help your child learn and master basic addition and subtraction facts. They will practice different strategies and incorporate fun math games. This is the basic foundation for all levels of math. Your child can be a math facts genius!

GRADES 3-12 Basic Archery Basic archery will involve the proper stance and shooting positions. Archery terminology will be used throughout in regards to archery tackle, protective equipment and targets. Safety is a major consideration and is always implemented. GRADES 4-5 Math Facts Camp Need help learning your math facts? Then this is the place for you! Join us as we learn effective strategies to master addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Strategies such as touch math will be taught, as wellas many fun and entertaining games. We will focus on perfecting basic facts, but will touch on many other skills as well.

Microsoft Windows Movie Maker Have you ever wanted to make your own movie? Microsoft Movie Maker is a creative computer program that allows students to be their own movie director. Students will learn how to shoot their very own movie on a topic of their choice. They will then be able to edit their movie to include music, action scenes and a story. Each participant will create a final published film at the end of the week.

Project Based Math Enrichment and Skill Building Students always ask, “When will I ever use this in real life?” This course will show students how math skills are used everyday in life. We will be creating a week long project that will include designing graphs, constructing surveys, making scaled drawings and many more real life situations. We will also incorporate math fact skill builders on a daily basis. This will be done through daily skill building sessions and math fact competitions.

GRADES 6-8 Cheerleading Camp Cheerleading Camp is designed for any middle school girl interested in improving their skills in jumping, tumbling, and stunting. Cheers and chants will be learned with daily awards and prizes. Girls will need a white t-shirt, puffy paint, hair rubber band, a spool of hair ribbon, and spirit. Please join for a cheerful experience.

GRADES 6-9 American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Taking care of young children - whether yours or someone else’s - is an important responsibility! The Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course can help you learn what you need to know to be the best and most responsible babysitter you can be. Designed for 11 to 15-year olds, the course teaches you what every parent wants in a safe and responsible babysitter. Learn how to:

Strength and Conditioning for Athletes Ages 13-17 We are a dedicated sports performance program dedicated to educate and train athletes on how to increase their success on the field, ice, or court. Success in athletics revolves around one’s ability to integrate strength, speed and agility, and core strength to perform at the top of one’s game.
