A simple Grand Master key system hierarchy is the first place to start in creating your key system structure. List all of the key areas of

your commercial property and begin to layout the sections of keys and how you would like areas to flow in relation to key operations.

Include all areas - mechanical doors, janitorial, electrical, building entries, office suites, stairwell doors, admin areas, etc.. Keep in

mind that all things are not possible when it comes to pin tumbler keying. The more sections and keys that cross operate into

multiple areas can create many unintended cross keying or incidental cross keying that could compromise security. Master keying is
