The History

25 year old professional British Racing Driver Nathan Freke is continuing to develop his racing career in the UK and Europe.

In 2006 Nathan won the prestigious British Formula Ford Championship and was a British Racing Drivers Club - McLaren - Autosport Young Driver of the Year Award finalist. By winning the Formula Ford Championship Nathan followed in the footsteps of David Coulthard and Jenson Button, drivers such as Nigel Mansell, James Hunt, Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna also raced in the Series.

Sponsorship funding is a necessity for all drivers to develop their careers and Nathan is no exception, he needs a sponsor partner to maximise the opportunities as he looks to build on his championship winning racing experience in the 2009 season.

This presentation outlines the unique opportunity of supporting the proven championship winning talent of Nathan Freke with a sponsor partner proposal. Nathan has proved his ability as a successful professional racing driver. His image and profile are recognisable throughout the professional motorsport industry and he is a natural ambassador for commercial products in the UK, Europe, and on the International stage.

The Races

Following their success in 2008 with the newly launched G50 Cup, Ginetta have moved their series to the UK’s top motorsports package, TOCA with the British Touring Cars, Porsche Carrera Cup, and the Renault Clio Cup providing the absolute best in motorsport action.

Excellent technical support, race centre hospitality, championship management, TV coverage and media services will underpin the Ginetta G50 Cup. The Ginetta G50 Cup is widely regarded as one of the closest one-make racing series, where the skill of the driver is paramount. As part of the British Touring Car Championship programme, the G50’s will take their concept to the most important race meetings on the British calendar.

At each of the events in the season, the Ginetta G50 Cup GB features two or three races. The calendar includes all the major UK circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington Park and will comprise a total of 20 Championship races.

The Series - Ginetta G50 Cup

Ginetta’s G50 sports car is a cost-effective, versatile introduction to real GT racing and a thrill to drive. The one-make Ginetta G50 Championship offers incredible GT racing but with modest updates, the car may race in multi-marque series.

The G50 was designed in-house by a team of experts with a vast array of motorsport experience between them. Named the ‘G50’, it was released in 2008 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Ginetta.

Its inspiration is based upon traditional racing car methods but packaged in a new way. The engineering is simple, the weight distribution has been carefully calculated and everybody who has driven one has emerged from the cockpit smiling!

The G50 and its one-make GT Championship are aimed at bridging the gap between single-make sports car racing such as the current Ginetta G20 Championship and GT cars like the GT4 Championship, GT3 and beyond.

Furthermore, available updates allow for competition in higher-level series such as British GT, Britcar, Spanish GT and Belcar with simple modifications to comply with regulations.

Reliability was tested to the maximum with two finishes at a Silverstone 24-hour event in 2008 just nine months after production began!

High power, light-weight, slick tyres and a strong chassis tested beyond GT2 minimum standards are the ideal formula for cost effective real GT racing.
