Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day is a wonderful time for special guests to visit Old Trail and see what the children do every day.

Our day is the same as any other “E” day (with a few special activities planned throughout). The children will come in as usual, following our morning routine of choosing lunch, work time choice, and having Music and Spanish (in our classroom) for their special. Grandparents and friends come to the classroom after they meet with Mr. Farber for his welcoming message and breakfast. Afterwards, they are welcome to join us to watch, play, and enjoy the children.

During the morning, grandparents and friends will have their picture taken with their grandchild. If your child has an older sibling, grandparents are welcome to take both to get a photo. We do ask that grandparents, friends and siblings let a teacher know that they are leaving for a photo and accompany them when on campus.

This special day concludes for the grandparents at 11:30am, when we go to lunch. Grandparents are permitted to take ECP students home at the conclusion of Grandparents’ Day. If your child is going home with their grandparent or friend we must have a written note from you or an e-mail. If your full-day child is going home at 11:30am, we need a note or e-mail as well.

This is such a special day at Old Trail School! If your child does not have a grandparent or friend attending, please let us know.
