DAY 5 | Ashore in Kingston, OntarioOur tour of this historic town includes the fine Georgian architecture of Bellevue House and Queen’s University, founded in 1841 by Royal Charter from Queen Victoria. We’ll also see Market Square, the lively heart of Kingston and see St. Mary’s Cathedral. At historic Fort Henry, we learn about its role in the War of 1812 and sit down to a very unique dining experience featuring historically accurate dishes that were served to garrisoned officers in the 1800’s. We also visit the Rideau Canal ; built in the first half of the 19th century and stretching more than 125 miles, its original structures are still intact and most of its locks are still operated by hand. meals b+l+d
DAY 6 | Cruising the St. LawrenceEnjoy the fresh air from the Observation Deck, take advantage of our Open Bar, enjoy convivial conversation with fellow passengers in one of the lounges, or join a talk with our shipboard experts. meals b+l+d
DAY 7 | Bienvenue à Québec City Visit the Plains of Abraham where a decisive 1759 victory by the British changed the fate of North America! In Place Royale , one of the oldest settlements in the Americas, you’ll find handsome 17th and 18th-century buildings. Visit Montmorency Falls before returning to ship. After lunch, our shuttle service will take you from the pier to Lower Town in Old Quebec. From here, you can ride the funicular up to the Dufferin Terrace and historic Château Frontenac.
