As president of the Greater M o n c t o n H o m e B u i l d e r s ’ Association (GMHBA), I am very optimistic for 2015, this being our organization’s 42nd anniversary. Membership based, our group represents amongst the best pro-fessionals in the Greater Moncton and South East New Brunswick residential construction industry.

Our general membership reunites top award winning home builders, renovators, suppliers, sub-contractors, residential services companies and individuals. Dedication to excellent customer service, quality products and superior workmanship is our top priority. The association still has active members who were part of the original founders group and even during retirement participate and volunteer their time promoting best con-struction practices and ethical industry standards.When looking for a reliable and professional builder, renovator or other residential related services, I encourage you to use this membership directory. We are part of the largest and most influential industry as-sociations in the country. Members represent all parts of the residential construction industry from coast to coast.

Builders - Member builders construct over 80% of all housing in Canada. Membership includes hundreds of small building companies, as well as many of Canada’s largest home builders.

renovators - As the renovation industry grows, so does renovator membership. Currently, more than 1,600 members are engaged in renovation activities, and we expect this number to increase in the years ahead.

trade ContraCtors - From plumbers to electricians to drywallers, trade contractors are integral members of the “team” and play a critical role in the Canadian Home Builders’ Association.

ManufaCturers - The overall quality of a new home and renova-tion projects in large part depends on the quality of the products used. Many of Canada’s major manufacturers of building prod-ucts and services are strongly represented in our Association.

suppliers - From national and regional building supply chains to individual local companies, suppliers of quality building products and services are strongly represented on our Association.

finanCial institutions - Canada’s major financial institutions are strong partners in the Association, with many holding member-ships across the country.

GovernMents - Representatives of governments and housing agencies at the local, provincial and national levels play an active role as members of the Association.

serviCes and professionals - The home building industry includes many other services and professional groups that all play an important role in bringing choice, quality and value to the mar-ketplace. Architects, lawyers, engineers, accountants, utilities, warranty programs, real estate and marketing companies, media people and many others are valued members.

is to be the voice of the residential construction industry in Canada; to achieve an environment in which our membership can operate profitably; and to promote affordability and choice in housing for all Canadians.

coDE of EtHIcSMembers shall comply with applicable building codes of Canada as a minimum standard for construction and shall work toward its improve-ment in the interests of structural sufficiency, safety and health.

Members shall plan their sites and homes to conform to the principles of good community planning and support for the environment.

Members shall deal justly with their employees, subcontractors, and suppliers of all goods and service commitments.

Members shall exchange information and experience, and encourage research on materials, technical advancements and building techniques in order to provide the best value for their customers.

Members shall avoid all conduct or practice detrimental to the house building industry, to the Association, to the good name or reputation of any of its members, or its customers.

Members shall commit to continuing learning through human resource policies and practices, including employment practices which treat employees as assets.
