Goddess of Love and Beauty

• She was chosen by Paris to receive the Apple of Discord.

• She helped Paris escape from Menelaus when they were battling.

• He was one of the Great Gods of the Earth.

• He was kidnapped by pirates then to escape he turned himself into a lion and the pirates into dolphins.

• He helped Mother Earth take down Father Heaven, then he took control of the universe.

• When his child was prophesized to dethrone him, he ate his children when they were born.

• When his son Zeus was born, his mother Rhea hid him from Cronus and then Zeus came back to dethrone Cronus, and made him throw up his brothers and sisters.

DemeterRN:Ceres

Goddess of Corn

• She was the second Great God of the Earth.

• Her daughter Persephone is taken away during the four winter months by Hades to the underworld.

Mother Earth

• She was one of the first beings created in the earth.

• She created creatures such as the Titans, the Cyclops, and The things with 100 hands and 100 heads.

The Furies

• They were three sisters who were named Tisiphone,Megaera, and Alecto.

• They sprang from Father Heavens blood when he was wounded by Cronus.

• They pursued the sinners of the earth.

• They were three sisters named Aglaia, Euprosyne, and Thalia.

• They were the daughters of Eurynome and Zeus.

• They gave life its bloom.

Hercules

• He was the strongest man on earth.

• He kills his family due to Hera, and feels remorse so he repays his sins by doing Twelve almost impossible tasks, called the “Twelve Labors of Hercules”.

• After he completed these tasks he still did not feel fulfilled, so he does more tasks.

Iphigenia

• She was the daughter of Agamemnon.

• She was sacrificed by the Greeks to please Artemis, God of Winds, for safe travels on sea to Troy, where they would fight the Trojan War.

JunoGN: Hera

Protector of Marriage

• She despises Hercules, wants him dead, and tries multiple times to kill him.

• She helped the Greeks in the Trojan War by putting Zeus to sleep, who was supporting the Trojans.

The Killing of Hector

• Hector was killed by Achilles, who had stabbed him in the neck.

• Achilles tied Hector’s heels to a chariot and had him dragged around, which upset the gods.

The Twelve Labors of Hercules

• When Hercules killed his family do to madness given to him by Hera, to pay back for it he got 12 almost impossible tasks from Eurystheus.

• Some of the tasks were killing creatures, getting a bull, and cleaning cow stables.

God of War

• He was very murderous and was the son of Zeus and Hera .

• He was not liked very much by the Greeks.

Ruler of the Sea

• He was Zeus and Hades brother and was second “Ruler of the Earth” to Zeus.

• He was often called an “Earth Shaker” and is usually seen with his trident.

Odysseus

• He was one of the best warriors in the Trojan War.

• He tried to avoid going to war by pretending to be mad by farming salt, instead of seeds.

• He thought up the idea of the Trojan Horse.

Paris

• Zeus gave him the decision of which goddess got the Apple of Discord.

• The three goddesses were Aphrodite, Hera and Athena.

• He was killed by Philoctetes, who had Hercules arrows.

• She was the master of the Winds.

• Iphigenia was sacrificed by the Greeks to please Artemis, so they could have safe travels to Troy with good winds.

• She was the first woman on Earth, and she was married to Epimetheus.

• She was given a box and told not to open it. Curiosity took over her and she opened the box, and out flew all of the bad plagues and sorrows in the earth.

• When she closed the box the only thing left was Hope.

• He told the lie that the Greeks had given up and that the Trojan Horse was from the Gods.

• He said he was tired of being a Greek and wanted to change to a Trojan.

Trojan Horse

• The Trojan Horse was a giant Horse that hid the Greeks inside of it.

• It was left behind by the Greeks to trick the Trojans into taking it into Troy.

• When it was taken into Troy the Greeks jumped out and let in the rest of the Greek Army,and that is how the Greeks won the Trojan War.

• He was the King of Mycenae.

• He gave Hercules his Twelve Labors.

VestaGN:Hestia

Goddess of Hearth

• She was Zeus’s sister.

• She was very important to homes and each city had a public hearth sacred to Hestia.

Trojan War

• The Trojan War was a war between the Greeks and the Trojans.

• It was started when Helen was taken from the Greeks by Aphrodite for Paris.

• It lasted over nine years and featured warriors such as Achilles, Hector, Paris and Odysseus.

• It ended with the use of the Trojan Horse.

• He was one of the candidates for Achilles' armor when he died.

• When he was not chosen he wanted to kill Odysseus and and some of the leaders.

• Hera then made him mad, and he killed a herd of cattle.

• He felt bad for the cattle so he killed himself.

• They had warriors such as Achilles, Odysseus, and Agamemnon.
