As our Greek community moves forward, our chapters have refocused on the core principles of Greek Life at Chico State and have made this semester one for the record books. As we proceeded through Greek Week, we continued to show how powerful our system is in bettering this community and those organizations we partner with. As a whole, Fraternities and Sororities donated a record breaking 542 pints of blood to Blood Source of America saving 1,626 lives and totaling 5% of their yearly collection goal! Our Greeks also donated over 4,000 cans of food to North State Food Bank, $500 towards St. Baldrics, over $1600 for the Esplanade House and a total of $3,475 for the American Cancer Society. This week showed the true spirit of Greek Life as our organizations united together to support several philanthropic causes through a week of friendly competition and community involvement. Following the end of Greek Week our organizations have been focusing on building relations within our chapters, going on chapter retreats and setting goals for the next semester. As many of our chapters’ leadership will be changing in the new future, it is imperative that these new leaders remain focused on the goals that we set for each other and ourselves, the core mission of our organizations and the values of our community. Greek Life at Chico State has continuously proven the high level of leadership development amongst undergraduates and our community is looking forward to seeing this new crop of leaders step up and continue to improve our Greek system.            This  past  semester  has  been  a  true  testament  to  the  leaders  we  have  in  Greek  Life  and  the  amazing  strides  our  organizations  have  taken  towards  bettering  this  campus  and  community. Our  Greeks  also  donated  over  4,000  cans  of
