the inaugural Green Buildings Congress Malaysia 2010 was held on the 9th June 2010 at the sime darby Convention Center, Kuala lumpur, Malaysia. the event attracted over 300 participants from almost 150 companies in Malaysia.

the congress provided timely insight into the unique updates & challenges of the Malaysia Green Building industry. on top, the congress also provided an industry track session. this high-level, multi-discipline congress featured high-ranking and distinguished chairs and speakers from across Malaysia, addressing more than 300 congress attendees with cutting edge insights and building solutions for the industry.

QuiCK stats→ over 300 delegates from 150 companies→ 85% of delegates stated that the congress met or exceeded their expectations → 80% of attendees agreed that plenary content was relevant to the current industry→ 70% of delegates stated that the panel and debate sessions were inline with the congress theme

ConGRess PRoGRaM in suMMaRy

Green Buildings Congress Malaysia 2010 provided a unique opportunity to hear about the latest developments in green buildings. the congress program offered a rich choice of session formats and networking opportunities aimed at highlighting excellence, promoting dialogue and stimulating the exchange of experiences.

the Green Buildings Congress Malaysia 2010 was officially opened by y.B. dato’ sri Peter Chin Fah Kui Minister of energy, Green technology and Water Malaysia.

a total of 25 speakers took part in presentations, panel sessions and track sessions during the 2010 program. the program for 2010 was the result of extensive work throughout the year, including both an open call for proposals and a selection and invitation process supported by the event’s steering Committee, resulting in an agenda that was much appreciated by congress participants.

the congress included half day plenary, three tracks and an industry debate session.

thirteen home-grown as well as Malaysian operations of large multinational companies were recognized for their excellence in sustainable products, services and strategies at the 2010 Frost & sullivan Malaysia Green excellence awards banquet. Co-located with Green Buildings Congress Malaysia 2010, the awards luncheon banquet was well attended by the who’s who of the recipient companies.
