GREEN EVENTS SCORECARD The Green Events Ordinance is applicable to medium-scale events (e.g. 1,000 to 1,999 participants) and large-scale events (e.g. exceeding 2,000 participants) located at city-owned facilities, on public easements or funded by the City of San Antonio. The Green Events Scorecard can be submitted to the Office of Sustainability separately or it can be attached to your online application.

The scorecard below includes more than 60 actions that will make your event more sustainable, generate excitement and create recurring attendees. If you would like additional assistance with one of the actions, please see the Planning Guide or email Sustainability@SanAntonio.gov.

Every so often, an event organizer is bold enough to explore and implement a new idea which becomes the standard for events across the globe. Most categories include a Be Bold! section which contains actions that are difficult but demonstrates leadership and excellence. It is possible to achieve Verde certification by solely implementing four Bold actions.
