aegean coast.sunshine in style in bodrum

known as Halicarnassus in ancient times, the town of bodrum on turkey’s aegean coast is one of the Mediterranean’s most enticing resorts. Here whitewashed houses cascade down hillsides to two beautiful blue bays. the icing on the cake is the 15th-century castle, standing imperiously on a spit of land between the bays rising up against the mountains of the facing headland.

Just along the coast from kalkan is kas. For those wanting to experience turkey’s natural marvels, the area around antalya more than obliges. Here, the countryside and mountains are littered with wonderful lakes, waterfalls and caves, including the Düden Falls, a series of magnificent falls plunging into a high gorge where a path snakes behind the cascading sheets of water.

If the balance remains unpaid after this date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and re-tain the deposit paid. any money paid by a customer to a travel agent in respect of a booking with lorenz Voyager travel limited is held by the agent on behalf of lorenz Voyager travel limited.

late bookingsbookings received by us 12 weeks or less prior to depar-ture are deemed to be late bookings. when you make a definite booking through your travel agent or by telephone directly with us, you must pay the total cost of the book-ing at that time. should you subsequently cancel the res-ervation made you will be subject to cancellation charges detailed in “cancellation by the client”. a late booking may be accepted by us either by telephone or by the is-suing of a confirmation invoice.

alteration by the clientlorenz Voyager travel limited & its agents will do their utmost, but cannot guarantee to comply with any request for alteration to a booking. an amendment fee of £30 per person will be applied. Please note that any amend-ment made after tickets have been issued will be treat-ed as a cancellation and will attract a minimum charge of £180 per person.

cancellation by the clientcancellation of your holiday must be notified to us in writing. the cancellation charges depend upon when your written notice is received and will be levied as fol-lows. note: certain travel arrangements (e.g. aDVance PurcHase tIckets) cannot be changed once the res-ervation has been confirmed and a 100% cancellation charge will be incurred.

cancellation or alteration by the companythe company reserves the right to modify or cancel any holiday, flight schedule, accommodation or other arrange-ments, in the event that the holiday chosen by the custom-er cannot be provided for any reason. If the circumstanc-

es referred to in the preceding paragraph occur before the customer’s departure, the company undertakes to offer the customer alternative arrangements, or, if this is not acceptable, a full refund of all monies paid. we plan your holiday arrangements many months in advance and although it is unlikely that we have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it does occasionally happen. Most changes are of a minor nature and we will advise you (or your travel agent) at the earliest possible date. should we have to cancel a tour, holiday or other travel arrangements as a result of hostilities, political unrest, or other circumstances amounting to force majeure, we will inform you or your travel agent without delay and will offer an alternative holiday of at least comparable stand-ard, if available, or a prompt and full refund of all monies paid. any such refunds will be sent to agents within 10 clear days or direct to clients within 14 clear days. should we be forced to cancel your holiday for any reason oth-er than force majeure or non-payment of an outstanding balance, the company, in addition to refunding all monies paid, will pay compensation as per the table in the fol-lowing paragraph.

If we change your holidayIf a major change becomes necessary, we will inform you or your travel agent as soon as is reasonably possible if there is time before your departure. a major change is one that we make to your holiday arrangements before departure that involves changing your airport(s) except Heathrow, stansted, luton, Gatwick, resort area or time of departure or return by more than 12 hours, or offer-ing accommodation with a lower rating. you will then have a choice of either:a. accepting the changed arrangements as notified to youb. Purchasing another available holiday from usc. cancelling your holidayIf you choose a or b, we will pay compensation on the scale shown below. If you choose c, we will refund all monies paid to us. complaintswe, or our local agents, have personally inspected all of the properties featured in our brochure and the informa-tion given is supplied by them and is believed to be cor-rect at the time of printing. However, since this brochure is prepared many months in advance it is possible that some features may change. should you have any cause for complaint, please bring it to the attention of the Ho-tel Manager or our representative who will deal with it on the spot. If the matter cannot be resolved during your stay, then please notify us in writing within 30 days of your return to the uk.

arbitrationDisputes arising out of, or in connection with, this contract which cannot be resolved amicably, may (if the custom-er so wishes), be referred to arbitration under a special scheme which, though devised by arrangements with the association of british travel agents (abta), is adminis-tered quite independently by the chartered Institute of arbitrators. the scheme provides for a simple and inex-pensive method of arbitration of documents alone with restricted liability on the customer in respect of costs. the scheme does not apply to claims for an amount in excess of £1500 per person or £7500 per booking form or to claims which are solely or mainly in respect of physical in-jury or illness. should you elect to seek redress under this scheme, written notice requesting arbitration under the scheme must be made within 9 months after the sched-uled date of return from the holiday

travel documentsIt is the responsibility of the client to ensure that passports, visas, vaccination certificates and any other necessary travel documents are valid for the journey(s) to be undertaken.

our guarantee on price / surchargewe guarantee that the price of your holiday will not be subject to surcharge except for government action such as Vat, currency and increases in fuel. even in these cas-es we will absorb an amount equivalent to 2% of the hol-iday price which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. only amounts in excess of this 2% will be surcharged but where surcharge is payable there will be an administration charge of 50p together with an amount to cover the agent’s commission. IIf this means paying more than 10% of your holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all mon-ies paid except for any premium paid to us for holiday in-surance and amendment charges. should you decide to cancel because of this you should exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the date of the invoice. no re-fund will be granted should sterling gain in value against the appropriate currencies prior to your departure. all pric-es quoted in this brochure are based on fuel costs and exchange rates on 22 november 2011 as quoted in the Financial times: 2.91tl. all services in this brochure to north cyprus and turkey are paid in sterling.

Jurisdictionthe contract arising from any confirmed holiday book-ing is to be interpreted under and is subject to the laws of england. we will agree to submit any dispute or claim under it to the english courts (if you live in england or wales) or the scottish courts (if you live in scotland).
