National Product: RECs
• Offsetting electricity emissions• Non-deregulated territories – Buying RECs allows companies to claim that
their facilities run on renewable energy. We match up an equivalent number of RECs ( each REC = 1 MWh) to the company’s energy usage.
• LEED Certification • LEED is a green building standard run
by the U.S. Green Building Council• Companies can earn Green Power
points that count toward LEED certification by purchasing RECs to offset at least 35% of their annual electricity usage.
• Our office earned LEED Silver certification for commercial interiors (and we bought RECs to help get us there!)
Different types of LEED certification
