Dear Greenmount families Even though its been an 11 week term, its hard to believe that we are at the end of the first term for 2018! In true Greenmount style, we finished off with a flurry of activities, once again drawing the community together to share some fun and excitement. Congratulations to all the parents and family members who helped design and make some amazing bonnetsfor the Easter Hat parade. Though colourful and creative the hats didn't hide the enormous smiles of our students as they paraded around the undercover area. The student councillors certainly had an enormous task trying to choose just two winners from each class! Well done everyone! The Faction carnival went well last week and once again good sportsmanshipwas the highlight of the day. We are very proud of the way in which students congratulated other competitors and put in their best effort for their respective teams. Well done Chipper faction for winning the overall competition and to the individual champions and runners up. Thankyou to all parents and carers who stepped in to help in some way during the day, and a very big thank you to Mr Hodgson for putting it all together! Thankyou and Farewell We very sadly say a farewell to Mrs Deborah Taylor today. After seven years of regular work at Greenmount Primary, Debbie is off to work as School Officer at nearby Woodbridge Primary. Debbie has won a permanent fulltime position at the school, begin- ning next term. We thank her for her professional, dedicated approach to her work here, and we will all miss her warm smile and welcome at the front office. Best wishes for your new role Debbie! On Friday, March 30th, our student councillors had the pleasure of hosting our school Easter Hat Parade. Students paraded their Easter hat crea-tions in the undercover area to their favourite community songs. Following the parade, our school P&C presented the winners of the Easter colouring competition and the Easter raffle. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents from our school community who attended this special event and thank you to our student councillors for doing such a great job of hosting!
