Tom HallockGHS Class of 1987

Tom was an accomplished three-sport athlete at Greenville High School; competing in football, wrestling and baseball. He played linebacker and fullback and was Honorable Mention All-State his junior and senior years. Tom played two years of basketball before deciding to wrestle his junior year. This was certainly a good decision as he became a State Champion at 198 pounds. In baseball, Tom was a pitcher and All-State third baseman.

He went on to play both football and baseball at Ferris State University where he was All Conference in both. At the time, he held the single season tackle record for the Bulldogs. He transferred to Grand Rapids Community College to play baseball for a year and then moved on to Division I South Alabama where he finished his collegiate career in baseball and earned a degree in Business Administration. Tom later returned to Ferris to get his teaching degree, minoring in social studies.

Tom is a twenty-year history and government teacher, as well as, a coach at GHS. He coached football for 20 years, softball seven years, baseball five years, wrestling two years and middle school basketball seven years.

Family: His wife, Beth; four children, Alexys, Kyle, Paige and Zoe.

Megan Cushman GHS Class of 1999

Megan was an All-State golfer while at Greenville High School. She was a four-time MVP, three-time All-Conference honoree, three-time State qualifier at Regionals, and three-time All-State selection. In 1999, Megan’s senior year, she was Division II State Champion, Detroit Free Press Scholar Athlete of the Year, All-State Super Team member, and Miss Golf runner-up. She also played basketball and volleyball for two years at GHS.

Megan competed as a student athlete at Division I University of South Florida where she achieved numerous accomplishments including: Conference USA Commissioner’s Award 2001-2004, Top Ten finish at Conference match 2003, All-Conference USA Team in 2003, Top 12 finish at NCAA Division I East Regional in 2002, and career scoring average at USF of 77.6. Megan graduated from USF in 2004 with a major in communications.

Megan was the Assistant Women’s Golf coach at Grand Valley State University from 2009-2017, where they were five-time Division II National Championship qualifiers.

Megan is a paraprofessional at Greenville Public Schools.

Family: Her husband, Zach; two children, Emma and Olivia.

Tom is joined on senior night by his father Tom and mother Marlys.
