ANNOUNCEMENTS

A note from Pastor Greg – Dear Members and Friends of Highland CRC, Please don’t hesitate to call, connect, or set up a time to meet face-to-face over a cup of coffee or for some culinary delights…for prayer, listening, thoughtful dialogue, a visit, or to just simply be. Your joys, needs, and concerns are very important! Here is my phone number and email: (231) 425-8819 or [email protected]. Again, I would be delighted to connect with you. Please let me know. In Christ’s love, Pastor Greg We, Greg and Amie, along with Annabelle, Mia, Evie (and Molly, our dog), are so thankful for the hospitality and welcome that we have received here at Highland. The parsonage is amazing. The housewarming gifts are so thoughtful. And, your patience with us traveling back-and-forth these past two weeks exudes Grace. May God bless all of you as you have blessed us! The Ketts

Congregational Prayers:

We uphold Brenda Ouwinga, Esther Bode and Anna VanPolen and their families in our prayers. May God surround them with His love, and give them strength, patience, and peace. Anna will consult with a doctor in Grand Rapids this Tuesday to discuss the spot on her liver and to schedule an ablation. Please continue to keep Katie Medendorp, Carol Niver, Vicki Mosher, and Dave Westmaas with their ongoing health issues, in your prayers.

I John 5: 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.

The Hymn Sing is tonight at 6:00 pm. Come for song, fellowship, and desserts! A special thank you to all of you who contributed to Life Resources by filling up baby bottles with your spare change a few months ago. They were appreciated. In the summer, the church has more neighborhood kids around. We, as a staff, double-check the doors when we leave, but if you have a meeting at night or your own children have been in the church, please make sure all the doors are locked and latched when you leave. Thank you. The city park in Lake City is where a Praise and Worship service will be held July 2, 2017 at 11:00 am sharp, during The Greatest Fourth in the North celebration. This service is sponsored by the Clam River Prayer Project. The Patriot Choir will be singing at Prosper Christian Reformed Church on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 6:00 pm. This is a family event, so everyone can enjoy the music. A love offering will be taken to help cover expenses of the choir. A Fellowship Coffee will follow and nursery is provided. Are you planning to attend the Falmouth Fireworks night Tuesday, July 4, 2017? If so, your supper will be waiting for you. Aetna/Vogel Center Booster Club will be selling hot dogs, brats, chips and cheese, popcorn, water, coffee, and other goodies beginning at 5:30 pm. Eagle Village has a job opening for a Youth Specialist and an Up Nights position. These positions are an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children. To apply or read more details about these and other job opportunities, visit www.eaglevillage.org or call Emma at (231) 832-7255.
