Project introduction

• Explore China is initiated to make the world understand China better through bridging the west and east. Foreign volunteer will participate in a series of Chinese culture to have a wider engagement and interaction with local Chinese people. Gaining comprehensive experiences of Chinese culture, the foreign volunteers will utilize the social media to spread what they have witnessed and learnt about China. The long term vision for the project is to establish a new platform between university students across the world to promote Chinese intangible culture heritage and raise the awareness of Chinese traditional inheritance.

JD for details • GCDS: All EPs come to China this summer are

required to attend GCDS, which is the regional induction conference for EPs and will be held on July 18th and July 19th. The delegate fee(about ¥250)is not covered.(2days)

• Leadership convention: The National High School Students Leadership Convention is a competition for about 1000 extraordinary Chinese high school students to develop their leadership and responsibility. At this convention, you will be a facilitator who leads 10 to 20high school students to fulfill a charity work in Beijing. In the process, you

JD for details will improve your leadership and creativity while

working with other students. Also, you can share ideas and thoughts with Chinese youth, learning more about contemporary Chinese society and culture. In the meantime, the Chinese students are eager to learn more about your country .The camp will last 10 days.

Courtyard program:The program (cooperate with The Courtyard Institute) will be hold in an old-style courtyard in Beijing. The courtyard institute is an culture communication institution, which is aim to pass the concept of preserving old Beijing culture. Trainees will participate in several Cultural Courses, work as a team with local kids (teenagers) and help

will be related to taking and editing photographs and videos, graphic designing, activities, organizing, etc.

Explore Beijing: We will organize some culture trips for about a week, including climbing the Great Wall, hanging in the hutong(traditional BJ lane ),and the Forbidden City ,etc.
