Math, Reading, Writing, Communication, Concentration

May be associated with another disorder (A.D.D,A.D.H.D., Autism)

How do you know

Often spelling the same word differently in a single document

Reluctance to take on reading or writing tasks

Trouble with open-ended questions on tests (explain thiswhytell me.)

Weak memory skills

Slow work pace/short attention span

Frequent misreading of material(s) ( such as a favorite story)

Easily confused by instructions

What Now? Be an Advocate

Meet with teachers before school begins

Request that your child be professionally assessed
