The integral, one-piece, construction of Central's'0' ring union features nylon which is moldedand bonded on, completely enclosing the flange andflat face. This design uses a return of nylon onthe internal surface, which gives additionalprotection against shorts' caused by bridging offoreign materials.

The molded nylon is a nonbrittle type which willwithstand great impact and shock loads withoutfracturing. Chemically, this special nylon isunaffected by petroleum oils, greases, gas, brine, H2S,water, air, ammonia and crude, even attemperatures as high as 2500 F. Also thedielectric strength goes far beyond thetoughest requirements.
