Are we technomaniacs?

Society has been concerned about technol-ogy for many years, it’s nothing new. 73% of the UK population say that society would not survive without technology. It is all around us, and can be used to do almost anything.

CONCERNS ABOUT TECHNOLOGYI’ve spoken to many people, and most of their problems are privacy and security issues such as banking information being stolen, private details being published and security prob-lems within the government.”

IS THAT BAD?This is understandable as many scams are on-line and there have been issues about phish-ing sites which gather information, includ-ing facebook. “We explore the changes of technology from when they were first developed to the mod-ern day. Those concerned about technology

should realise that it is now essential. Peo-ple are often asked for mobile numbers and email addresses, especially when applying for jobs.

IT IS INEVITABLEThis just goes to show how crucial technol-ogy is.” Almost everywhere you go, we are immersed in so much technology! 93% of buildings in the UK are using WiFi. Even in schools, pupils as young as 10 are now submitting their homework via internet. Furthermore, books no longer need to be paperback due to the invention of Amazon Kindles, or iPad.

THE IMPACT ON THE FUTUREIn about 10 years time, due to the techno-logical advancements, maybe we should start preparing ourselves for flying cars!
