History
Since 1863, South Seaville Camp Meeting has been a place to worshipand serve God in Cape May County. Founded by Methodists who designed an ambitious site plan, with hundreds of numbered lots grouped in rectangular blocks and arranged around parks.By 1877, 90 cottages had been built and 60 tents pitched. These were assembled around a central meeting place. This meeting place became what is now the Tabernacle set in the center of the camp. Today, many of original cottages remain, including several two-story, two-room A-frame cottages with corner pegs, as well as larger steep-roofed dwellings with Gothic windows and Victorian gingerbread detailing. South Seaville Camp Meeting remains a wooded retreat Christians enjoy each season.
Families may choose the Hospitality House which has recently been refurbished. Adjacent to the Tabernacle, the Hospitality House sleeps up to 7 people and has a comfortable living room and kitchen.
Built in 1881, Grove House offers a large dining hall, commercial kitchen and meeting space, Howe Hall, for your group.
