  • SUBJECT: ENGLISH 1. Letter to the Editor a) Last week you were dining at a fast food restaurant when you found a shard of glass in the food that you had ordered. A few days prior to that, at another restaurant your friend had found an insect in the soup. Write a letter to the editor of a newspaper complaining about the carelessness and poor hygiene of the eating places in the city. b) Reading for leisure is no longer a common activity. Students are confined to reading books for academic gain and the habit of reading for pleasure is dying out rapidly. Write a letter to the editor of a regional newspaper stressing on the importance of reading and suggesting ways to encourage the habit. 2. MY INSPIRATION Everyone is inspired by anyone or the other in one’s life. They act as one’s role model to emulate and follow in their footsteps. Write an article on “Celebrating the person that makes me” in 100-200 words. You may also paste the picture of the person. 3. FATAL SELFIE MANIA There is a new killer out in the world! A report in September 2015 showed that selfies cause more deaths worldwide than shark attacks. As people become more and more daring in their attempt to snap the perfect self-portrait to share online, many such picture takers get seriously injured or even killed. Write an article on “DANGERS OF SELFIES” Value Points:
