will have the specifics times for
each flight.
We will use Facebook to provide
frequent updates to the families –
please have your friends and
family members “like” our page
to stay in “the loop”. For imme-
diate family members, this news-
letter and the Family Readiness
Groups will be the primary and
official sources of information.
Please ensure phone numbers
and email addresses are always
updated so that we can ensure
you are receiving all the latest
information.
Thanks again to the Soldiers and
Troopers of the entire Task
Force for all the hard work over
the last many months getting us
ready to deploy. Thanks as well
to the overwhelming family sup-
port to help us do what we do.
CSM Jusino and I remain humbled
to lead such a wonderful organi-
zation into combat. Because of
the high-character CAV Troop-
ers we have and because of the
great families you are, we are
assured of executing our mission
with distinction. Ready Now!
In this premier edition of The
Growler, our Squadron Newslet-
ter, I’d like to thank all of you up
front for the great support the
Troopers of the Squadron and
Combined Task Force Wolverine
have received over the last many
months. The purpose of this
newsletter is to give you all in-
sights into how the squadron is
doing in our operations down-
range, share pictures and stories
from across the formation and
try to provide valuable informa-
tion and links to better support
our Wolverine families. A special
welcome to the Terminators and
their families from A/2-14 Infan-
try (IN) and all the other at-
tached units who comprise Com-
bined Task Force Wolverine.
You are invaluable assets and we
are a much more lethal fighting
force with you in our ranks.
CSM Jusino and I will like to wel-
come everyone back from essen-
tially an incident-free block leave.
Hopefully everyone was able to
get plenty of rest, lots of per-
sonal time, and is now ready to
get on with the mission. While
most of us will deploy, there are
a number of Wolverines who will
remain here at Fort Drum to
provide necessary supporting
functions that deploying units
need.
Although we have had a small
handful of Troopers deploy to
Afghanistan already, we will not
start sending Soldiers in larger
numbers until next week, with
the majority of the Task Force
leaving towards the end of Janu-
ary. Families are invited to see
their Soldiers off by joining us at
the 210 BSB motorpool for
manifest call. Your Soldier of
their Troop/Company leadership
Welcome Back Wolverines!
