Audience research

Your job is to design an audience research questionnaire so that you can find out what your audience really wants to see in a horror film trailer and, therefore, make as much money as possible!!!

Your questionsYour questions need to be designed so that the answers you

collect are useful for you when you come to make important decisions whilst making your film.

You should use a mix of open and closed questions.

Open questions: one where there is no fixed answer

e.g. what makes a good horror film?

Closed question: where the answers are fixed

e.g. out of the options below, what is the most suitable name for a horror film

Analysing your resultsEnter you data as follows;1.Write the question2. Column A: Option given3. Column B: Number of responses

Note: always make sure you put the option & responses in columns that are next to each other

4. Highlight the options and the numbers ONLY (see above)Then go to Insert – Pie (or column if you prefer) and select 2-D Pie

A colour coded pie chart will then be created displaying your results
