Per gli autobus turistici prima di entrare in città è necessario acquistare il titolo d’ingresso, costo E 30, che dà diritto solo all’ingresso e al carico e scarico dei passeggeri. Il titolo si può acquistare: on line www.amt.it, o negli autogrill convenzionati in prossimità delle uscite autostradali di Verona. Sono esentati dal pagamento del ticket d’ingresso i bus diretti agli alberghi e quelli che effettuano servizio di trasporto delle scolaresche di ogni ordine e grado, oltre a quelli che effettuano servizio di trasporto disabili autorizzato.

In TReno Verona è attraversata dalla principale linea ferroviaria nel nord Italia, la Milano-Venezia, con collegamenti molto frequenti da e per le altre città venete (Venezia, Padova, Vicenza) e lombarde (Brescia, Milano). In aeReo L’Aeroporto Valerio Catullo, a soli 12 chilometri da Verona, in località Villafranca, è facilmente raggiungibile dall’autostrada e dalla città. Offre collegamenti di linea con varie località del centro-sud Italia (Roma, Bari, Napoli, Cagliari, Catania, Palermo) e con i principali paesi europei quali la Germania, la Francia, l’Inghilterra, i Paesi Bassi, la Spagna, l’Austria, e vari voli charter. By CaR The A4 Motorway crosses the province of Verona from east to west. There are two city exits, Verona Sud (suggested to the fair) and Verona Est, in addition to exits located throughout the province at Soave, Sommacampagna and Peschiera (Lake Garda). The A4 Motorway is also intersected north to south by the A22 Modena-Brennero Motorway, with exits at Verona Nord for the city and Valpolicella district; at Nogarole Rocca for the Veronese plain; and at Affi for Lake Garda and Mount Baldo. An Entry Ticket for tour buses entering the ZTL area is compulsory. By TRaIn Verona is served by the main train line for northern Italy, the Milan-Venice line. The line offers frequent connections to other cities in Veneto (Venice, Padova, Vicenza) and Lombardy (Brescia, Milan). Per i turisti è previsto il rilascio di permessi per il transito senza limitazione di orario e per la sosta ne-gli apposti stalli, se alloggiati presso attività ricettive alberghiere ed extralberghiere site all’interno della Zona a Traffico Limitato. La tradizione culinaria veronese è ricca di piatti che nascono dall’unione tra i prodotti tipici locali e la fantasia dei cuochi. Uno dei piatti storici veronesi nasce da un prodotto povero come la PATATA che diventa GNOCCO, celebrato ogni anno durante il ”venerdì grasso” sotto il trono del Papà del Gnoco incontrastato re del carnevale veronese. Tra i primi piatti non si possono scordare i TORTELLINI di VALEGGIO sul MINCIO, i BIGOLI con l’anatra e il RISOTTO col tastasal. Come secondi la tradizione offre la PASTISADA DE CAVAL, il LESSO con la PEARÀ. Tutti i piatti di carne spesso vengono serviti con la POLENTA GIALLA, quinta essenza della cucina veronese. L’abbondanza di acqua nel territorio permette inoltre l’uso in cucina di numerosi tipi di PESCE: dalla trota al luccio. Tra i dessert tipici spicca l’ormai nazionale PANDORO, e i locali NADALIN, BACI di GIULIETTA, RUFIOI e SBRISOLONA.

The Veronese culinary tradition contains a wealth of dishes made from typical local products which are then embellished in ways fired by the imaginations of the local chefs. GNOCCHI are one of the authentic local dishes, and are made from the humble POTATO. They are celebrated each year on the Friday in Carnival week under the reign of the “Papà del Gnocco” who is the undisputed king of the Veronese Carnival celebrations. Other unforgettable first course dishes are the TORTELLINI from VALEGGIO sul MINCIO, BIGOLI (pasta) with duck sauce and RISOTTO with tastasal (a peppery sausage meat). Traditional local main courses are: PASTISSADA DE CAVAL (braised horse meat), and LESSO con la PEARA (boiled meats with a peppery bread sauce). Almost all the meat dishes come served with the local YELLOW POLENTA (cornmeal) which is a staple ingredient in the Veronese cooking tradition. A wide variety of freshwater fish - from trout to pike - are included in the local cuisine, caught in the abundant rivers and lakes. Outstanding typical sweet dishes include the Christmas PANDORO renowned throughout Italy, as well as the local NADALIN containing dried fruit and almonds, BACI DI GIULIETTA (Juliet’s kisses - a chocolate indulgence), RUFIOI which are deep fried carnival sweets, and SBRISOLONE, an almond-flavoured shortbread which is usually eaten drenched in grappa.

All’interno del Parco Naturale della Lessinia, dove abbondano le bellezze naturalistiche quali le Cascate di Molina, il Ponte di Veja, il Covolo di Camposilvano, la Malga Derocon, e dove sono conservati i reperti preistorici ed archeologici all’interno dei sette musei del Parco, continuano a vivere le antiche tradizioni. In questo affascinante contesto viene prodotto il formaggio MONTE VERONESE DOP, commercializzato in tre varianti: giovane, mezzano e stagionato; e di recente produzione quello maturato nelle vinacce dell’Amarone o del Valpolicella. Il territorio di S. Mauro di Saline è conosciuto invece per la produzione del MARRONE, stretto ma più nobile parente della castagna. Nei boschi della Lessinia è possibile trovare inoltre il TARTUFO NERO che viene utilizzato in numerosi piatti. L’usanza locale offre tra le ricette tipiche quella dei BOGONI, le normali lumache, gli GNOCCHI DI MALGA, il capriolo. Il tutto annaffiato dal vino che nasce dalla zona pedemontana: il LESSINI DURELLO DOC.

Ancient traditions still permeate the Lessinian Nature Park. It boasts areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the Molina waterfalls and the Veja bridge. There is the Grotto of Camposilvano and the Malga Desocon as well as the 7 museums contained within the park where prehistoric and archaeological remains are conserved. It is against this fascinating backdrop that the MONTE VERONESE DOP cheeses are produced and sold in 3 different varieties: fresh, medium and mature. A recent development is that of the cheeses matured in Amarone or Valpolicella wines. The area around S. Mauro di Saline is renowned for its BROWN CHESTNUTS - a nobler relation of the sweet chestnuts. BLACK TRUFFLES can be found in the Lessinian woods, and they are used in countless dishes. Amongst the specialities of the local culinary tradition are: BOGONI (snails), the GNOCCHI DI MALGA (cowherd’s gnocchi), and ROEBUCK. All these dishes are washed down with wine from the area at the foot of the mountains: the LESSINI DURELLO DOC.

In un vastissimo panorama di pianura domina-to dalle colture di cereali si estende la provincia veronese a sud della città. Una delle massime espressioni della cultura contadina si ha attorno a Isola della Scala dove tutto ricorda la produzione del RISO VIALONE NANO IGP che viene proposto nella cucina veronese in svariate maniere: con il tastasal (pasta di salame speziata), col pontèl, con il pessin, con le rane etc. Importanti sono poi le coltivazioni del RADICCHIO ROSSO di Cologna Veneta, del CAVOLO di Castagnaro, delle FRAGOLE di S. Giovanni Lupatoto, delle MELE di Zevio, del MELONE di Trevenzuolo ed Erbè. A Cologna Veneta è rinomata inoltre la produzione di MANDORLATO. La pianura veronese non è solo colture, ma i tanti paesi racchiudono notevoli testimonianze storiche, dalle pievi romaniche di Belfiore, Isola della Scala, Erbedello, Cerea e Gazzo, alle fortificazioni scalige-re che dominano Valeggio sul Mincio, Villafranca, Nogarole Rocca , Isola della Scala, Salizzole e San-guinetto che costituivano il Serraglio.

The territory to the south of Verona is dominated by the vast Po valley plain, largely given over to the cultivation of cereal crops. The area around Isola della Scala is one of the best examples of this farming culture where everything is geared to the production of VIALONE NANO RICE IGP. This rice is interpreted in a variety of different ways in the Ve-ronese cooking tradition; with tastasal (with a spicy sausage meat); with pontèl (with a pork chop), with pessin (tiny freshwater fish), with frogs. Other im-portant crops here are RADICCHIO ROSSO (red chi-cory) in the Cologna Veneta area, CAVOLO (cabba-ge) from Castagnaro, FRAGOLE (strawberries) from San Giovanni Lupatoto, MELE (apples) from Zevio, MELONE (melons) from Trevenzuolo and Erbé and MANDORLATO (almond cake) for which the town of Cologna Veneta is justly renowned. The Veronese plain is not only renowned for its agriculture, but in many of the towns and villages important historical buildings still stand, from the Romanesque parish churches of Belfiore, Isola della Scala, Erbedello, Cerea and Gazzo to the Scaligeran fortifications that dominate the towns of Valeggio sul Mincio, Villafranca, Nogarole Rocca, Isola della Scala and Sanguinetto, and which made up the Serraglio (chain of forts).

By CaR The A4 Motorway crosses the province of Verona from east to west. There are two city exits, Verona Sud (suggested to the fair) and Verona Est, in addition to exits located throughout the province at Soave, Sommacampagna and Peschiera (Lake Garda). The A4 Motorway is also intersected north to south by the A22 Modena-Brennero Motorway, with exits at Verona Nord for the city and Valpolicella district; at Nogarole Rocca for the Veronese plain; and at Affi for Lake Garda and Mount Baldo. An Entry Ticket for tour buses entering the ZTL area is compulsory.
