Introduction .1 المقدمة -1هندسة الحاسب حيث يمكن الطالب من برنامجمشروع التخرج هو أحد متطلبات

. التخرجب بعد الالط فيهاتصميم وتنفيذ حلول لمسائل متعلقة بالبيئة المتوقع ان يعمل وخالل المشروع يقوم الطالب بتطبيق المعارف والمهارات العلمية والمهنية التى تعلمها خالل المقررات المكونة للبرنامج األكاديمى وذلك تحت إشراف أحد أعضاء هيئة

الحاسب على اكتساب القدرة على هندسة وذلك يساعد خريج برامج . التدريسالتصميم بحيث يظهر قدرات ابداعية مطلوبة لتطوير أجهزة ونظم ومعالجات ومنتجات

ويهدف التصميم إلى اكتشاف وتطوير أفضل للتقنيات أو تحسين . جديدة أفضلويقسم العمل . المنتجات الموجودة أو اكتشاف العيوب والنواقص في المنتج الموجود

لتخرج على فصلين يبدأ بمقرر مشروع التخرج األول فى الفصل الدراسى فى مشروع ا ،ويقوم خالله الطالب بتقديم اقتراح لحل مشكلة أو بناء نظاممن السنة النهائية األول

، والقضايا النظرية والعملية المرتبطة )األعمال السابقة(واستعراض أدبيات الموضوع ية المطلوب اتباعها لتنفيذ الحل واألجهزة والبرامج كما يتم تحديد المنهج .بهذه المهمة

واألدوات التي ستستخدم في التصميم والتنفيذ، وتحديد النقاط المرجعية والمعايير الالزمة لعملية التقويم واالختبار للنموذج األولي للحل المقترح، ويتم تقديم تقرير فني

الثانى فى الفصل الدراسى ويتم إكمال المشروع فى مقرر مشروع التخرج. مفصلالنهائى حيث يقوم الطالب بتنفيذ انشطة المنهجية وتقديم تصميم كامل للحل المقترح

وألهمية مقرر مشروع التخرج نقدم هذا . فى المشروع األول وعرض نتائج التنفيذالدليل االرشادى لضبط عملية إدارة المقرر و لضمان إنجاز المشروع بشكل جيد

.المطلوبة

Graduation Project (GP) is one of the Computer Engineering Program requirements, where students can design and implement solutions to issues related to the expected work environment. During the GP, the student will apply knowledge and professional skills under the supervision of a faculty member. This helps a graduate of computer engineering program to acquire the ability to design, i.e. it appears creative capabilities required for the development of devices, systems, processors and new better products. The design aims to develop better techniques, improve existing products or discover the defects and deficiencies in the existing product. The work on the GP is divided into two: the 1st GP at the first semester of the final year, where student will present a proposal, literature review, and theoretical issues. Also he will determine the methodology, hardware and software tools, benchmarks and criteria for evaluation and testing process, and provide a detailed technical report. The 2nd GP will be at the last semester, where the student will perform activities, provide a complete design of the proposed solution, and present the implementation results. This guide is provided to manage the process and ensure completion of the GP with quality and desired goals.

Project Graduation (GP) is a practical application to solve a real problem in one of computer engineering fields. It includes the stages of planning, design, implementation and testing of a software or hardware system. It also represents a real test for a student as it reveals his capabilities in analyzing problems, inventing new solutions and applying knowledge and skills under the provision of advice and guidance from the supervisor. The GP is a real experience for working life. The main objectives are as follows: 2.1 Making sure that a student is able to apply his

knowledge, abilities and communication skills. 2.2 Giving a chance to a student for applying what he

has learned, implementing it on the ground and interacting with beneficiaries.

2.3 Giving an opportunity to a student for applying ethics before joining actual work.

2.4 Developing a teamwork skill. 2.5 Qualifying a student to pursue a postgraduate

study in the field by developing his scientific research skills.

3.1 Two ways for proposing the GP 3.1.1 Offering of projects by faculty members during

the first week of the semester (Form-1). 3.1.2 Proposing of a project by a group of students

during the first week of the semester (Form-2). 3.1.3 Proposed projects are evaluated by the

department GP committee. 3-2 Rules for accepting GP proposals 3.2.1 The GP must be feasible and applicable and has

a relationship to the computer engineering fields.

3.2.2 The GP should not be taken from a pre-existing idea without doing any development.

3.2.3 The GP should provide solutions to new realistic problems, or complete earlier work which was stopped at certain limits, or provide better solutions to the problems that already exist.

3.3 Rules and criteria for distributing GP proposals 3.3.1 The GP committee distributes students into

groups, according to the desire of the students, which do not exceed four students.

3.3.2 Each group selects a number of offered projects where the allocation will be based on priority and competition with other groups (Form-3).

3.3.3 In case of competition on a certain project the priority will be given to the group where a student with the highest CGPA belongs to.

4.1 Duties related to the GP-I 4.1.1 A student must attend GP lectures. 4.1.2 Identification of the research subject problem. 4.1.3 A student must collect references and

information necessary to conduct a literature survey and previous work on the subject of GP.

4.1.4 A student should propose and design solutions to the project problem.

4.1.5 Identifying the proposed methodology, the tools to be used, and the timetable for the project activities (Form-4).

4.1.6 A student must prepare a technical report in English for GP-I, to be adopted by the supervisor, and deliver copies to the GP coordinator or discussion committee members (Form-7&8).

4.1.7 A student must discuss the GP-I as scheduled in the lab examination week.

4.2 Duties related to the GP-II 4.2.1 At the beginning of the GP-II the student must

complete the design solutions and start the practical side of the project by the second week of the semester so that he can complete system implementation.

4.2.2 A student must prepare a final report on the graduation project in English, according to the guidance and format in the Form-7&8.

4.2.3 The student should submit copies of the report to the coordinator or discussion committee members and be bound ("wire" or "stapling") and containing the design or the software. The submission must be one week before the start of the discussion scheduling.

4.2.4 The student should discuss the graduation project report in the lab examination week (before the final exams) with the discussion committee members.

4.2.5 After the project discussion the student must correct errors and observations, made by the committee, and submit the final version to the coordinator after supervisor approval. It must be hard covered with CD attached and contains the project (program+ documentation).

5.1 Weekly scheduling to follow up the implementation of projects and provide guidance and advices to students.

5.2 Follow up the implementation stages set out in the action plan for the project and make sure that the work is accomplished by personal efforts of the students, otherwise notify in writing the chairman and the coordinator (Form-5).

5.3 Informing the coordinator of any major changes occur on the project

5.4 Submission of a report to the coordinator on a student's progress in the implementation phases of the project (first or second), during the 11th week of the semester (Form-6).

5.5 Attending the discussion and assessing student out of 50 marks according to Form-9&10.

5.6 Follow-up observations of the discussion committee and ensure the implementation of the changes required by the committee.

5.7 Record the final score after obtaining the average of the discussion committee scores.

5.8 Submission of the final grades to the chairman of the department for final approval.

5.9 Submission of the excel assessment sheet to the GP coordinator to be used for GP assessment report.

6.1 Organization of introductory lectures, at the beginning of the semester, on graduation project processes and activities.

6.2 Coordination with external parties to assist the student in cooperation with the party where he performs his research.

6.3 Distribution of project reports to the committees one week before the discussion for review and evaluation.

6.4 Distribution of project discussion forms to the committee members before the discussion (Form-9&8).

6.5 Preparation of course folders for GP-I&II, using excel sheets which are prepared by GP supervisors.

6.6 Receipt of the final version of the project after corrected and approved by the supervisor.

:التخرج وهي روعالعامة لمناقشة مش ضوابطهناك مجموعه من ال 7-1يجب على الطالب مناقشة النتائج والتقرير مع المشرف قبل مدة من موعد 1- 7-1

.المناقشة الرسميةتتم المناقشة في الساعة والموعد المحدد للطالب أمام المشرف ولجنة 2- 7-1

.المناقشه :في الحاالت التالية روعالمشمناقشة يمكن تأجيل 7-2عدم تمكن الطالب من إنهاء المشروع في الوقت المحدد ألسباب تتعلق 1- 7-2

بطبيعة المشروع ويراها المشرف وجيهة وتستحق التأجيل ويرصد له درجة .غير مكتمل

في حالة طلب لجنة المناقشه إلجراء بعض التعديالت أو استكمال أجزاء 2- 2- 7 يرصد للطالب درجة غير مكتمل على أن يقوم باالنتهاء . ناقصة في المشروع

.من التعديالت في موعد أقصاه األسبوع الثاني من الفصل الدراسي التاليصحية أو (استحالة إنجاز المشروع بسبب ظروف خاصة تتعلق بالطالب 7-2-3

وفي هذه الحالة يعرض الموضوع على لجنة المشاريع للنظر في ). غيرها. قدمها ويأخذ بعين االعتبار رأي المشرفيبررات التي حالة الطالب والم

حسب الحالة القادمفصل الى الشهر األول من الوقد تصل مدة التأجيل . والمبررات ويرصد له درجة غير مكتمل

ويجب األخذ بعين االعتبار عدم تأجيل المشروع ألكثر من مرة واحدة وإال يتحول .التأجيل إلى رسوب

7.1 There are general rules for discussing GP: 7.1.1 The student must discuss the results and report

with the supervisor before the formal discussion time.

7.1.2 The discussion will be conducted as scheduled for students in front of the supervisor and the discussion committee.

7.2 The discussion may be postponed due to: 7.2.1 Inability of the student to complete the project

on time for reasons related to the nature of the project as seen by the supervisor its clear and well worth the delay with incomplete grade.

7.2.2 In the case of a request from the discussion committee to make some adjustments or complete parts of the project. An incomplete grade will be given to the student so that he must complete the amendments not later than the 2nd week of next semester.

7.2.3 Impossibility of the completion of the project because of special circumstances relating to the student (health or others). This case will be discussed by the project committee which will consider the justifications provided by the student as well as the opinion of the supervisor. An incomplete grade will be given to the student where a postponement may be up to the 1st month of the next semester.

It must be taken into account not to postpone the project for more than once, otherwise it will be turned to fail.

Participating students are evaluated independently based on several methods, where marks are distributed and calculated as follows: 8.1 50% of the marks are given by the supervisor

according to the Form-9 & 10. 8.2 50% of the marks are given by the discussion

committee according to the Form-9 & 10. 8.3 The supervisor collects forms from the

committee, takes average marks, adds it to the supervisor marks, and then makes the final grade for each student and handing it over to the chairman for approval.
