Guide to Downloading and Installing Matlab R2019a 1. Go to https://my.queensu.ca/ and sign in. Go to “Software Centre” then scroll down to
the Matlab section.
2. Click on the link “Log into MathWorks/MATLAB”.
Note: When you get into the MathWorks/MATLAB site, don’t forget to log out of
my.queensu.ca
3. Click “Sign in to get started” to start the process.
4. Accept the terms of use for Matlab and click “Submit”.
5. Click “Sign In”, even if you do not have a MathWorks account.
6. If you have a MathWorks account, enter your credentials and sign in, then proceed to
step 8. If you need to create an account, click “Create Account”.
7. Enter the following information to create an account (except with your own Queen’s
email, of course). Click “Create”.
8. Click “R2019a” to download Matlab (if you do not get taken to this screen, repeat the
process and sign in to your newly created MathWorks account).
9. Click on the appropriate operating system. The installer will download. Save it, then
open it. Wait for the files to extract (a self-extractor inset appears during the process).
10. Once the installer files extract, the inset will close and a new inset appears asking you to
allow setup.exe to open. Click “Yes” (Note: This will be slightly different for different
operating systems).
11. Enter your Queen’s email address and your MathWorks password and click “Next”.
12. Make sure that the “Select a license” button is checked and that the Queen’s University
license number is in the box (40561113).
13. The next four pages are trivial and do not need any special settings applied, simply click
“Next” and “Install” when available. You may go with the default products that are
selected. The pages are shown below for reference.
