Christine Schulz-ReissChristine Schulz-Reiss was born in 1956. She studied German literature, history, politics andcommunication sciences. She started working for several large German daily newspapers and first becamea political news reporter, then deputy manager of the reports section of an important Munich-basednewspaper. Since 1991 she has worked as a free-lance journalist, writing for various magazines, with aparticular focus on adolescents - sometimes inspired by her own daughter. In 2004 she published her firstbook, "Guide to Politics" and was nominated for the Gustav-Heinemann-Peace-Award for it. In the meantimeshe has written several successful titles for Loewe, covering amongst others abstract issues such as ethicsand philosophy in an entertaining and illustrative manner.In all her books, she processes knowledge in a captivating and informative way, and succeeds in linking thisknowledge with the immediate surrounding of her readers - she demonstrates how politics, ethics, orphilosophy touch the lives of adolescents. In lectures held for students, teachers and parents she indicateshow knowledge can be conveyed in a manner appropriate for adolescents.Christine Schulz-Reiss and her family live near Munich.
