The following guidelines are gathered from observing my own spiritual evolution, the evolution of those around me, and the spiritual growth I see in my hypnotherapy clients. These guidelines address the basic human conditions of loneliness, lack of purpose, and fear of death. Through releasing from these limitations, we open a doorway to expanding into our greatest potential as human beings.

Detach from narrow paradigms.

Free yourself from specific beliefs, as beliefs can limit your openness to new experiences. Start from a general understanding of the following, and let the truth be shown to you:

The Universe is intelligent, powerful, and unlimited.

We are spiritual beings having a physical experience.

There are no rights or wrongs -- only experiences for growth and learning. Release culturally-deemed "negatives". Look for the growth opportunity and the lesson in each experience.

All difficulties show us where we hold attachment,

challenging us to transcend, to find our inner wholeness, our greater divinity. As we release attachments, we experience greater ease and flow.

Detach from possessions. If we are whole in our spirit form, then we can not be diminished by loss of money or possessions. Find ways of achieving joy, peace, and bliss that are organic – meditation, massage, deep conversation, love, sex, etc. Focus on these forms of fulfillment and allow your need for external possessions or distractions (even travel) to fall away.

See your wholeness and spiritual independence increase as you give away that which is not needed. As you create physical space and quiet in your own life, you will “peel the onion” and be better able to clearly see the voids you’ve been trying to fill. Face those inner shadows, and shed light upon them one-by-one. Develop inner peace through spiritually-based (love, connection, intelligence) personal development and emotional healing. Enjoy the physical gifts that this world has to offer, but remind yourself while enjoying them that you have other ways to be just as satisfied.

Embrace the concept of death and the afterlife.

Study research on the near-death experience, even on reincarnation. Accept death as the portal to the afterlife. Doing so will not cause it to arrive sooner (Universal Intelligence is not that literal!), but it will release your fear of it and allow you to live more fully and fearlessly. Drill down into what your fear of death is all about. For most it is about dying alone. Explore your beliefs around loneliness, and challenge them from a spiritual perspective.

Release yourself from loneliness.

Show yourself that you that you are part of a plan, that there are other beings with you always, and that this life is a short blip of perceived separation, by doing the following:

Meditation, hypnosis, past life work – find your personal connection to universal intelligence, and your place within the spiritual cycle of life.

Explore your dream state through journaling – you’ll see that your dreams are powerful, wise, and connected to a greater reality.

Seek Mediumistic, psychic, astrological or other readings that involve divination of a greater wisdom – it will be proven to you that there is a greater plan,

a greater intelligence at work far beyond our understanding.

Be aware of where you seek love.

Are you addicted to external validation? To relationships? Do you feel whole only when with a partner? Do you continue to seek that ultimate relationship? If you are meant to unite with a soul-mate in this lifetime, nothing you do can stop it from happening. But if you are seeking out of loneliness, then this is less than optimal for you. Look deeply at what you are trying to satisfy, and where you have been turning up until now. Consider the next item, “Find Community.”

Find Community. Until recent generations, we have been a tribal species. As social creatures in this Western society, often separated from our families (geographically or ideologically) it is normal to feel lonely and disconnected. We have not evolved for this kind of isolation. Many of us seek solace from a single source – a romantic partner. This approach not only has a high risk of failure, it often doesn’t support one’s best growth as an individual. It is more true to our nature to satisfy that need for intimate human connection through connecting with a community of like-hearted, loving and supportive individuals. People who make you

feel safe and free to be you. People who challenge you to step up and be even more than you have been before. Spend a day with loving souls with whom you deeply connect, and you will go to bed at night with a full heart. Keep addressing loneliness through community, personal development, and proving your own connection to Spirit. Once you get to the point where you love life on your own, you will truly be ready for a healthy relationship. Live your passion(s).

If not through a full time vocation, then in your free time. Study what you love. Invest in yourself, love yourself. Align with your passion, and you will be shown your path. This will allow energy to flow through you and allow you to expand in incredible ways – confidence, skills, vitality, and connection to others. ~~
