To be eligible to participate in the Online Services Usage Incentive, a partner must meet the following criteria

MPN requirementsEligible partner organizations must hold an active MPN

membership.

Eligible partner organizations must also achieve and

maintain MPN Gold or Silver level competency in one of

the following competencies:

Cloud Productivity (all products except Power BI)

Enterprise Mobility Management (Intune, AADP and

EMS only)

Project Portfolio Management (Project only)

Data Analytics (Power BI only)

Microsoft Agreement

Partners must hold an active MPN Agreement. As

of July 1, 2016, the Microsoft Channel Incentive

Agreement (MCIA) is now presented as part of the

FY17 MPN Agreement as Exhibit B.

Eligibility managementPartner eligibility for the Online Services Usage

Incentive is assessed monthly for earning, calculation,

and payment.

If a partner fails to meet an eligibility requirement, the

partner will become ineligible to earn or be paid for

the Online Services Usage Incentive.

Any accrued incentives will be forfeited, subject to the

laws in the partner’s country. Partners may lose or

forfeit the incentives earned.

Eligible revenue

Eligible revenue is determined by the SKU value listed on the Online Services Usage Rate Card on MPN at

aka.ms/partnerincentives. SKUs that are not listed are not eligible for this incentive.

Office 365 is a product of the active entitlements and the rate card value of the associated SKU

Microsoft Intune is a product of the licenses deployed and the rate card value for Microsoft Intune

AADP is a product of the active users and the rate card value of AADP

Power BI is a product of the active users and the rate card value of Power BI

Snapshot date has been adjusted for FY17, please see end of this section for the complete calendar.

The Online Services Usage Rate Card is not guaranteed for the full year and may change with 3 months’ notice.

Partners who are actively earning the Online Services Usage Incentive will be notified by the Microsoft Incentives

team with an email to the MPN Primary Administrator. Also, the rate card will contain both the current and updated

values during the time of transition; this will be available on the MPN website for Partners to download.

Revenue and product eligibility

Lever Workloads Measured On

Office 365

Exchange Online (ExO)

SharePoint Online (SpO)

Skype for Business (SfB)

ProPlus is also available in

standalone and certain bundled

Office 365 products.

Based on active entitlements at the workload level. Active entitlement is the unique

count of users, by workload, that have taken an intentional action within that

workload in the past 28 days. This period is rolling.

Microsoft

IntuneN/A

A customer will be considered actively using if they meet one of the following

criteria:

• The customer has deployed a Microsoft Intune agent on a PC

• The customer has assigned a Microsoft Intune license to a user and has at least

one mobile device/PC associated with the licensed user

AADP N/A

A customer will be considered be actively using If they meet one of the below

criteria. The largest number from the below will be taken into consideration for the

incentive:

• Number of licensed users accessing at least one 3rd party App

• Number of licensed users registered for self-service password reset

• Number of licensed users enabled for MFA

Power BI N/A

A customer will be considered to be actively using Power BI if they have

opened/viewed at least one Power BI dashboard in the past 28 days, as measured by

our client telemetry.

Public Sector

Partners may not earn the incentive for subscriptions

involving Public Sector customers if the customer

resides in one of the restricted countries listed in

Public Sector Country Ineligibility List
