Guido Bertucci – Curreently Serving as the ently Serving as the Executive Director of Governance Solutions

InternationalGuido Bertucci, is the founder and the Executive Director of “Governance Solutions International”, an organization devoted to the identification and dissemination of innovative practices in governance and public administration.

In his capacity he lectures and provides advice to governments on modernizing public administration systems and on developing public sector leadership. He holds a degree in Political Science and a Post-graduate Diploma in Administrative Sciences from the Catholic University of Milan.

In addition, he was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration by the University Inca Garcilazo de la Vega Lima, Peru and another in Economics and Management by the International Academy of Management, Moscow, Russia. Until 2008, he was the Director of the United Nations Programme on Public Administration, Finance and Development.

Guido Bertucci Promotes Innovation In Governance And Public Administration

Currently working as the Executive Director of “Governance Solutions International”, Guido Bertucci, has been responsible for promoting innovation in governance and public administration.

While heading the United Nations Programme in Public Administration Finance and Development, he established and organized the United Nations Public Service Awards competition. This competition awards prizes every year to public agencies around the globe for their excellence and innovation in Public Service.

The awards are granted on 23 June of each year, which was declared “United Nations Public Service Day” by the General Assembly upon Guido Bertucci’s recommendation. The competition is now entering its 10th year.

Guido Bertucci Launched The UN e-Government Readiness Report

Guido Bertucci, was responsible for the launch of the “UN e-Government Readiness Report”, a yearly publication, which has become a highly popular tool for benchmarking e-Government development.

He also launched the annual “Compendium of Innovative e-Government Practices”. He is considered a world renowned expert in methodologies for benchmarking e-government.

In addition he has been responsible for directing and writing a number of publications on a wide spectrum of subjects related to public policy, governance and public administration and civil service.

He holds a degree in Political Science and a Post-graduate Diploma in Administrative Sciences from the Catholic University of Milan. In addition he holds numerous honorary doctorate degrees. He also has a vast experience in teaching, lecturing and training.

From 1992 to 1993, Guido Bertucci served as an Adjunct Professor of Public Administration at Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service in the New York University. He later served from 2007 to 2008 as Visiting Professor of Comparative Public Administration in the Faculty of Political Science at University of Pavia, Italy.
