GTU organized Zonal level Pre Placement Workshops for Pharmacy

The united efforts of Deans, Directors of Pharmacy Colleges and a large number of Faculty

Members, with the support of the Pharma Leaders, have led to the great success of FOUR

“Centralized Placement Fair of Pharmacy" in the years 2014 and 2015. Gujarat Technological

University, Dr. Maniosh Rachchh of GTU’s Post-graduate Research Center for Pharmaceutical

Studies and Drug Delivery Technologies and other units of GTU have initiated, encouraged

and supported the effort. Now the 5th Centralized Placement Fair for Pharmacy is to be

organized on Saturday, 9th & Sunday, 10th April 2016 at the Chandkheda campus of GTU at

Ahmedabad. This event is being jointly organize in association with IDMA-GSB, GAAMA, FDCA

and APTI.

PRE-PLACEMENT WORKSHOPS: To make students familiar with different job profile available

in pharmaceutical industries and to develop soft skills of students, Pre-placement workshops

are planned at different zone level. The list of various zonal level event is as per below. So far

in 6 different zonal level workshops 829 students of B. Pharm (Sem 8), M. Pharm (Sem 4) and

D. Pharm (2nd year) have participated. Last workshop in this series will be organized at Vapi

and appx 170 students are likely to participate.

In each of this event, one expert from Pharma industry has been invited, to give a detailed

idea about different job profiles available in Pharma industries. Another expert trains the

students in soft skill development and techniques of behaviour at an interview. About 1,000

students have benefited from these workshops..

business.
