Scenarios

Necati comes across a student playing bağlama,at Physics field’s music area, and sits next to him. Meanwhile, he gets informed about Music Station and where to obtain an ınstrument.

Necati who wants to take interest in music in his leisuretime, visits the instrument library nd regiters himself for clarinet lesson.

Berkcan who is also using the instrument library as Necati, volunteers to teach Necati how to play clarinetand together they practice with the rental clarinets fromthe library, in their leisure times.

With his friends who met thanks to the Music Stationand plays various instruments. Necati goes to theArchitecture Faculty to perform with them having pleasant time.

The donations made by Necati and others who usesthe library as him, are used for buying new instrumentsfor the library and/or used for repairing and maintiningthe old instruments.

After getting better at playing clarinet Necati starts renting a clarinet from the library in his leisure time inreturn for his identity card, and he donates a little amount of money occasionally o the donation box.

In METU Bazaar, while workshops andexhibitions take place. the created productsare sold at the same time.

In METU Bazaar, while peope have interaction with each other and learn something new, they find opportunity to gainaccess to rarely found products.

After working, they make new products anddesigns after that they started to wait for bazaar.

How can we encourage collective music activities while making various instruments easier to access?

By creating an instrument library, we increase the accessibility, and render it possible for music educations.

After getting information about clubs andactivities Ayşe participate t-shirt design and Ali participate gardening workshop.

Ali and Ayşe who do not have any informationabout clus and activities on campus stop byÇarşı to get informed about them after seeingabout workshops on the wall.

After registering, they participate workshops in certain days. After getting educated, Ali starts gardening and Ayşe starts designingt-shirts.

In METU Bazaar, while workshops andexhibitions take place. the created productsare sold at the same time.

Ropes are streched between the wooden parts of the products.

Thanks to ropes, people can exhibit their posters, poems and works of art.

It can be organized diversely.

Scenarios

Necla arrives to the C Statue to exhibit the painting she drew before.

When she spotted a free area she started to organize her exhi-bition stand.

Then she used this stand as a seat.

Then she hung the strings and placed her painting on them for people to display.

Ayşe wanted to roll the unit that she used as a bazaar stand back before.

She removed the extra part toreduce the height of the stand.

Porti is a citrus juicer which has 4 glass for a family of four. It has modular parts which are available for dishwasher.

The container parts are also for using as a glass which enables us to clean them easily after using.

The work principle of handle part provide us to squeeze 2 oranges at the same time.

A documentary film about a design piece, inspired and produced by a traditional craft.The design of the product, the original idea and the synopsis of the film belongs to the designer herself: Özlem Yalim Özkaraoğlu. The film focuses on an arts and crafts field which is about to perish in time. The designer aims to reconsider this tradition in order to create contemporary products those can find a place elegantly at everyday life.

I under take the production of this documentary film. The materials, photographs and videos that I used the creation of this film belong to me.
