R 1. J. Stevens A & T Co. “Favorite” ser.# 265. Vintage takedown single shot lever action falling block .22 “boy’s” rifle. 22” part round, part octagon, barrel. Old replacement sights. Poor bore. Very good

action. Dark brown metal covered with old rust. Plain walnut forearm has a sliver missing. Matching

straight grip stock with dings, cracks, and scratches. Fair original hard rubber butt plate. (C&R)

R 2. Eclipse Gun Co. mod. 1892 ser.# 130951. Vintage (pre-1918) 12 ga. exposed hammer side lock

double barrel shotgun made in Belgium by Henri Pieper and imported by the Mecham Arms Co. of

St. Louis. 29” “Damascus Finish” barrels are probably regular steel but the gun is not recommended for shooting. Poor bores. Very loose action does work. Gray/brown rusty metal. Fair/good wood. Fair

original butt plate. A wall hanger! (C&R)

R 3. Remington mod. 760C ser.# B7053205. Slide action .30-06 carbine made in 1978. Detachable

magazine. 18 ½” barrel has the original sights. Excellent bore and action. Clean metal retains 99%

factory blue. Non-factory quick detachable sling swivels. Excellent checkered, gloss finished, walnut forearm with a black tip. Excellent matching capped pistol grip stock and original butt plate.

Includes a leather sling and a 4X Bushnell scope in a Weaver flip over mount. Gun does not show a

lot of use.

R 4. Springfield Armory mod. 1898 “Krag” ser.# 414934. Sporterized .30-40 bolt action U.S. military

rifle made in 1902. Lyman ramp front sight on the 22” barrel. Redfield receiver sight. Original side

mounted magazine. Good/very good bright bore. Excellent action needs a little cleaning and lube. Original blue is getting a brownish tint, has a little light rust, and may have some cold blue touchup.

Very good military stock is missing the hand guard, was cut at the fore-end, and varnished. Correct

metal butt plate with an empty trap. Includes a fancy broad leather carrying strap in one original,

and one replacement, swivel. (C&R)

R 5. Smith & Wesson mod. 22/32 “Hand Ejector Target” ser.# 444631. Vintage .22 double action target revolver made in the 1930s. 6” barrel. Patridge front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Swing out 6

shot cylinder does not have recessed chambers so ammunition should be limited to standard

velocity. Rather dirty revolver’s bore will clean to excellent and so should the action. Case color

visible on the hammer and trigger. 92% factory blue shows a few rust spots, a cylinder ring, and

holster wear. Very good/excellent original checkered walnut square butt target grips. Gun should

clean up to be pretty decent! Includes a vintage, but altered, double loop holster. (C&R)

R 6. Browning “Automatic” ser.# 69T 14440. Slim, grade one, Belgian made, bottom ejecting, .22 semi-

automatic rifle with a tubular magazine hidden in the butt. Rifle takes down in the middle.

Manufactured in 1969. 19” barrel is missing the rear sight but has a 3-9X Bushnell 1” scope

mounted on a factory provided base. Excellent bore and action. Engraved sides of the frame. Clean

metal has 99% factory blue. Excellent, light colored, checkered walnut forearm and matching pistol

grip stock with a loading port on the side. Correct metal butt plate. Gun doesn’t show much use.

R 7. J. Stevens A & T Co. “Favorite” ser.# Q375. Vintage takedown single shot lever action falling block

.22 “boy’s” rifle. 22” part round, part octagon, barrel. Original sights. Broken upper tang. Good bore.

Very good action, unfortunately the firing pin is missing. Dark gray/brown, dinged, metal with old heavy rust patches. Plain walnut forearm is very good. Matching straight grip stock with dings,

scratches, and a coat of newer varnish. Fair original hard rubber butt plate. (C&R)

R 8. Winchester mod. 55 ser.# 3626. A very fine, unaltered, example of this 1926 production takedown

.30 W.C.F. (.30-30) lever action rifle. No extra holes anywhere. 100% original. 24” round “Nickel

Steel” barrel has an excellent bright bore. Like new action. Clean metal retains 89% factory blue. The

receiver shows flaking, carry wear, and a few light cleaning scratches. Excellent screw slots. Very good plain walnut forearm and matching straight grip stock have hunting marks and scratches but,

also, lots of original finish. Correct grooved steel butt plate. Gun is well above average! (C&R)

9. Unknown maker single shot ser.# n/a. A modern reproduction of a muzzle loading percussion

shotgun/cane. 26 ½” barrel of approx. 20 gauge. Blued metal. Nicely grained wooden handle. Item

looks like it was never fired and was possibly not intended to be?? Well made gun/cane should be seen.

R 10. Smith & Wesson mod. 36 ser.# J269390. Small frame 5 shot .38 Special snub nose double action

revolver made approx. 1975. 2” barrel. Fixed sights. Swing out cylinder. Excellent bore and action.

Gloss blued metal. Case colored hammer and trigger. Checkered walnut round butt grips. Revolver

looks like new overall and could be unfired. It’s in the original blue slip top box with all the

paperwork, original purchase receipt, and unused tools.

R 11. Smith & Wesson mod. 15-3 ser.# 6K74434. Medium frame 6 shot .38 Special snub nose double

action revolver made in 1975. 2” barrel. Adjustable rear sight. Swing out cylinder. Excellent bore and

action. Gloss blued metal. Case colored hammer and trigger. Checkered walnut round butt grips.

Revolver looks like new overall and could be unfired. It’s in the original blue slip top box with much

of the paperwork but no tools.

R 12. Smith & Wesson “Safety” ser.# 199782. Call it what you will, “New Departure”, “Lemon Squeezer”,

etc. A 4th model double action, top break, .38 S&W 5 shot revolver made approx. 1905. 3 ¼” barrel.

Fixed sights. Bore might clean to fair. Very good/excellent action needs cleaning. 89% factory nickel,

11% rust, scratches, and wear. Worn blued trigger guard. Original checkered hard rubber grips have

a large chip from one panel. (C&R)

R 13. Harrington & Richardson “Automatic Ejecting” ser.# 49551. Not a bad example of this vintage 5 shot double action top break revolver chambered in .38 S&W. 3 ¼” barrel. Fixed sights. Crisp

automatic ejector. Excellent bore and action. 95% bright factory nickel showing a few scratches and

light cleaning marks. Blued trigger guard buffed, mostly, bright. Excellent checkered black “target”

logo grips. (C&R)

14. Richardson & Overman “Gallager” ser.# 9041. Civil War era single shot breech loading .50 caliber percussion carbine. Under lever slides the tip down breech open for loading. Original configuration

and unaltered. 22 ¼” barrel has a very good, although pitted, bore with well pronounced rifling.

Excellent action. Correct sights, saddle bar and ring, butt plate, patch/cap box, and lever latch.

Cleaned to bare gray metal has some light pitting and brown patches. Fair, quite worn, dark walnut

straight grip stock has a poorly repaired toe chip and the initial “W” scratched in the side. Carbine

could still, easily, be fired!

15. Massachusetts Arms Co. “Smith” ser.# 11769. Civil War era single shot breech loading .50 caliber

percussion carbine. Depressing the brass latch in the trigger guard tips the breech open for loading.

The latch is difficult to press but the breech can be opened. Original configuration and unaltered. 21

& 5/8th inch barrel has a very good, although lightly pitted, bore with well pronounced rifling.

Excellent action. Correct sights, saddle bar and ring, and butt plate. Cleaned to bare gray metal shows light pitting. Fair dinged and worn walnut forearm. Straight grip stock has a crack, dings, and

wear.


R 16. W. H. Davenport Fire Arms “The Brownie” ser.# 1116. Unique and scarce vintage takedown .22

single shot lever action “boy’s” rifle with a falling breech block. 22” barrel, automatic ejector, and the

original semi-fixed sights. Fair/poor bright bore has visible rifling. Action not working correctly. Dark blue/brown metal shows traces of case color on the, mostly brown, frame. Blued barrel covered with

rust. Good Schnabel tipped plain walnut forearm has a crack and dings. Very good, dinged and

scratched, straight grip matching stock. The wood still has lots of original finish. Correct smooth

metal butt plate. When did you ever see one?? (C&R)

R 17. Iver Johnson “Champion” ser.# 87798B. A 1920s production 20 ga. single shot hammer gun. 27 ½”

barrel with an extractor. Chamber measures less than 2 ¾”. Bore might clean to good. Excellent action. Blue/brown smooth metal has light dings and probable cold blue on the barrel. Good

cracked plain walnut forearm. Very good matching capped pistol grip stock was shortened to 13 ¼”

pull and an old butt plate altered to fit. (C&R)

R 18. Remington mod. 722 ser.# 387183. Standard grade bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .244

Rem. (6mm Rem.) Made in 1956. 26” barrel. Original sights. Blind magazine with a steel floor plate. Excellent bore and action. 98% factory blue shows scattered light rust. Very good plain walnut stock

has light hunting marks and mildew spots. It looks like oil has penetrated the finish and darkened

sections of the stock. Correct checkered aluminum butt plate. Includes a leather sling in non-factory

swivels and a vintage Weaver 6X?? scope in a Weaver flip over mount. (C&R)

R 19. Remington mod. 870 “Wingmaster” ser.# 13057V. Takedown slide action 12 ga. shotgun made in

1950, the first year of production. Plain 28” matching number barrel. 2 ¾” chamber. Modified choke. Excellent shiny bore. Excellent action. 95% factory satin blued metal has a little fine rust residue.

Excellent grooved walnut forearm. Butt stock had the wrist broken through but was fairly well

repaired and the wood refinished. Recoil pad to 14” pull. (C&R)

R 20. J. C. Higgins mod. 103.18 ser.# n/a. Bolt action manually cocked .22 single shot rifle made for

Sears by Marlin. 22” barrel. Open sights. Excellent bore and action. Factory chromed bolt. 95% factory blue with light cleanable rust. Very good plain hardwood stock. Lightly chipped butt plate.

R 21. Davis Warner Arms Corp. “N. R. Davis & Sons Ajax” ser.# C1126. Vintage box lock hammerless side

by side 16 ga. shotgun. 28” barrels. Broad solid rib. 2 ¾” chambers. Choked full and fuller. Double

triggers and extractors. Bores should clean to very good or better. Automatic safety. Action works

fine but the opening lever doesn’t stay to the right when the breech is opened. Receiver is mostly

bright gray with traces of case color. Trigger guard cleaned to bare gray. Lightly rusted blue/brown barrels. Very good plain walnut forearm and matching round knob pistol grip stock. Wood shows

hunting marks. Very good original butt plate (C&R)

Magnum RF. 24” barrel. Open sights. Receiver grooved for a scope. Bore should clean to excellent.

Excellent action. Blued metal has patches of medium rust and scattered light rust. Excellent impressed checkered walnut cheek piece Monte Carlo stock needs a serious cleaning. Original sling

swivels. Excellent butt plate.


R 24. Revelation mod. 225 ser.# A713740. Bolt action .222 Rem. rifle made for Western Auto by Savage.

Detachable magazine. 24” barrel has the original sights, missing the rear step. Excellent bright bore.

Excellent action. Factory chrome plated bolt handle. Balance of the metal has 95% factory blue with scattered light rust. Excellent plain hardwood stock was stripped of its finish. Excellent butt plate.

Includes a 4X Scope scope, in a correct side mount, and swivel studs.

R 25. J. Stevens Arms Co. mod. 59A ser.# n/a. Bolt action .410 shotgun with a tubular magazine. 24 ½”

barrel. 3” chamber. Bore will clean to excellent. Excellent, but dry, action. Factory chromed bolt

handle. Balance of the metal retains 94% factory blue with scattered rust overall. Excellent plain

hardwood stock has scratches and finish wear. Very good butt plate. (C&R)

R 26. Rossi-Interarms mod. 92SRS “Puma” ser.# K066486. Good quality .357 lever action saddle ring

carbine is a Brazilian made copy of a Winchester model 92 “trapper”. 16” barrel. Open sights.

Tubular magazine and a hammer. Made before the mandatory bolt mounted safety. Excellent bright

bore. Excellent action. Clean metal has 99% factory blue, turning slightly plum color on the receiver.

Excellent plain walnut forearm and matching straight grip stock. Correct carbine style metal butt plate. Gun shows little use.

R 27. Cimarron-Uberti “Thunderer” ser.# 166362. Modern Italian made full size, 6 shot, single action .357

revolver with a “bird’s head” grip frame. Basically a copy of a Colt Single Action Army revolver. 7 ½”

barrel. Fixed sights. Black powder style steel frame. Excellent bore and action. Case colored frame.

Balance of the metal blued. Checkered walnut one piece grip. Revolver has been fired and shows a

few light handling marks but is excellent overall. Includes the original box.

R 28. Smith & Wesson mod. 25-5 ser.# N848948. Large “N” frame double action revolver chambered in

.45 Colt. Manufactured in 1981 before the new lockable action. 8 & 3/8th inch pinned barrel. Red

ramp front sight. White outline adjustable rear sight. 6 shot swing out cylinder. Perfect bore and

action. Case colored target hammer and trigger. Gloss blued metal. Checkered walnut target grips.

Big, beautiful, revolver looks like new overall and is close to unfired. It’s in the original wooden, plush lined, display case with tools but no paperwork.

R 29. National Firearms Co. slide action ser.# 121309. Vintage 12 ga. takedown hammer fired pump

shotgun made for a large retailer by Marlin. The same gun as Marlin’s model 19, etc. Plain 30”

barrel. Chamber length unknown. Modified choke. Fair/good bore. Excellent action. Worn

gray/brown metal with scratches. Very good grooved walnut forearm. Matching plain straight grip

butt stock was probably refinished and has a recoil pad to 13 ½” pull. (C&R)

R 30. Cimerron-Uberti mod. P Jr. ser.# JT2156. Top quality Italian made, scaled down, version of the Colt

Single Action Army revolver. Chambered in .38 Special. 4 ¾” barrel. Barrel mounted ejector rod. 6

shot cylinder. Frame mounted firing pin. Fixed sights, the front slightly bent to the left. Excellent

bore and action. Case colored frame. Balance of the metal blued. Plain walnut one piece grip.

Revolver was fired and shows handling, with light scratches and a little edge wear.

R 31. Colt “Python” ser.# K75515. Premium 6 shot double action, medium frame, revolver made in 1982.

6” lugged barrel. Ventilated rib. Red ramp front sight. White outline adjustable rear sight. Swing out

cylinder. Excellent bore. Slick excellent action almost feels like it was “tuned”. Gloss blued clean

metal shows light edge wear and a few handling marks but retains 96% factory finish. Excellent

checkered walnut factory grips probably have extra finish. Overall, still a fine 30+ year old Python!

R 32. Winchester mod. 1912 ser.# 214896. 12 ga. takedown pump shotgun originally made in 1919 but completely refurbished into trap configuration. 28” full choke “Nickel Steel” barrel has a new

ventilated rib that extends completely over the top of the receiver. Chamber length unknown. Very

good bright bore. Excellent action. Metal was buffed and professionally reblued. Stress striations

remaining from the buffing process have turned a streaky plum color, otherwise 98% blue remains.

A small area of new light rust on the receiver. Excellent new, plain fancy walnut, fluted forearm. Excellent matching high comb butt stock has a flared pistol grip cap, a former owner’s initial, light

scratches, and an adjustable Morgan style Pachmayr recoil pad to 14 & 3/8th inch pull. (C&R)

model top break double action revolver chambered in .32 S&W. 3” barrel. Poor bore. Excellent

grips.

R 33C. Third of the lot. U.S. Revolver Co. double action ser.# 45132. Vintage 6 shot solid frame .32 S&W

revolver made by Iver Johnson. 2 ½” barrel missing the sight. Poor bore. Action works but the cylinder doesn’t rotate. 65% factory nickel, 35% rust and peeling. Original grips have a large chip

from one panel. (C&R)

R 34. Savage-Stevens mod. 15B ser.# n/a. Compact manually cocked .22 bolt action single shot rifle. 21”

barrel is missing the rear sight but has a vintage Weaver B6 scope mounted on the grooved receiver.

Excellent bore and action. Blue/brown metal covered with rust. Very good, revarnished, plain hardwood stock shows lots of little scratches. Very good butt plate to 12” pull. Includes a leather

strap in non-factory swivels.

35. W. Richards hammer double ser.# 1540. Antique 12 ga. side by side made in Belgium. Back action

locks. Under lever opener also serves as the forearm. 30” “Laminated Steel” barrels. Poor bores.

Excellent action. Worn blue/gray/brown metal may have had some cold blue added. Fair/good

checkered round knob pistol grip stock has a crack and was revarnished. Correct metal butt plate.

R 36. Hunter Arms “Hunter Special” ser.# 170998. Hammerless box lock 16 ga. side by side shotgun. One

of only 1777 made between 1937 and 1945. 28” barrels choked full and fuller. Matted solid rib.

Chambers measure almost 2 ¾”. Double triggers and extractors. Dent free bores will clean to

excellent. Automatic safety. Excellent rock solid action, the opening lever still angled to the right.

Smooth brown receiver still shows a little case color. Satin blue/brown barrels have old rust. Very good checkered walnut splinter forearm and the matching capped pistol grip stock were both

stripped of their finish but have only a few minor marks. Original butt plate has a small chip. (C&R)

R 37. Winchester mod. 37 ser.# n/a. Vintage 16 ga. single shot hammer gun. This version has a “pig tail”

opening lever and the word “Winchester” stamped on the bottom in red letters. 28” barrel with an

ejector. 2 ¾” chamber. Full choke. Excellent bore and action. Receiver and trigger guard are mostly

gray showing light cleaning scratches. Barrel has a thin blue/brown finish with light rust. Plain walnut forearm and matching pistol grip stock have hunting marks, possible very light cracks, and

were stripped of the original finish. Good original butt plate. (C&R)

R 38. Colt “New Service” ser.# 340679. Large frame 6 shot double action revolver made in 1937.

Chambered in .38 Special. 4” barrel. Fixed sights. Swing out cylinder. Small knob on the end of the

extractor rod is missing. Bore should clean to excellent. Action works fine but the cylinder lock up is sloppy. Metal was professionally reblued years ago and again shows scratches, edge wear, and dots

of rust. Bottom of the butt stamped “S. A. P. D. 102”. Good checkered dark brown plastic original

grips. A rare hand gun in less than collector condition. (C&R)

R 39. A.M.T. “Backup” ser.# F00526. Covina, CA made hammerless semi-automatic pocket pistol

chambered in scarce .22 LR. 2 & 5/8th inch barrel. Fixed sights. Grip and thumb safeties. Excellent

bore and action. Metal is clean matte stainless steel with the sides of the slide finished bright. Checkered black plastic grips. Gun shows handling marks but not a lot of use. Includes an excellent

Safariland leather clip on belt holster made for this model.


R 40. Spanish “Hand Ejector” ser.# F11225. Vintage 6 shot double action medium frame revolver

chambered in .32-20. A good copy of the Smith & Wesson model 1905. 6 ¼” barrel. Fixed sights.

Swing out cylinder. Not a stamping on the gun anywhere except a tiny “Made In Spain” on the frame. Fair worn bore. Excellent action. Only a hint of case color on the hammer and trigger. Pitted and

lightly rusted metal has approx. 89% factory blue. Very good checkered walnut grips with a 6

pointed star logo. (C&R)

shot solid frame revolver chambered in .32 S&W. 2 ½” octagon barrel. Spurless hammer. Poor bore.

action pocket revolver chambered in .32 S&W. 2 ½” octagon barrel. Poor bore and action. 52%

factory nickel, 48% rust. Good original black hard rubber grips embossed with an eagle and flag

motif.

action pocket revolver chambered in .32 S&W. 2 ½” octagon barrel. Poor bore. Very good action. 84%

factory nickel, 16% rust. Excellent original black hard rubber grips embossed with an eagle and flag motif.

43D. Fourth of the lot. Iver Johnson “American Bull Dog” ser.# 3532. Antique solid frame 5 shot double

action pocket revolver chambered in .32 S&W. 2 ½” octagon barrel. Poor bore and action. 50%

factory nickel, 50% rust. Excellent original black hard rubber grips embossed with an eagle and flag

motif.

44A. First of a lot of 3. German double action ser.# 28. Antique 6 shot solid frame revolver. “Crown N” proofed. 3” octagon barrel stamped “Cal. 765”. Probably .32 S&W but should be checked. Fixed

sights. Side swinging ejector rod housed in the center pin. Frame mounted safety lever. Very good

bore and action. Revolver is dirty but still shows traces of case color on the frame. Balance of the

metal is a worn and scratched blue/gray. Missing the lanyard ring. Excellent original checkered

wood grips.


44B. Second of the lot. Unknown maker double action ser.# 28. Antique 6 shot solid frame revolver that

could be the little brother of the gun above. No proof marks indicating where it was made. Appears

to be .32 cal. but must be checked. Folding trigger. Frame mounted safety lever. Side swinging ejector rod housed in the center pin. 1 ¾” barrel integral to the frame. Poor bore and action. Dirty,

rusty, gray/brown metal. Very good checkered wood “bird’s head” grips.

44C. Third of the lot. Belgian?? “British Bull Dog” ser.# 24. Antique copy of the real British double action

6 shot revolver. Possibly even U.S. made. Solid frame. Appears to be chambered in .38 S&W but

magazine. This one has been used and abused. 18” barrel has the factory front sight but the rear sight is a replacement. Top of the receiver originally drilled for a scope mount and has one Weaver

base installed. Weird replacement bolt handle. Bright excellent bore. Excellent action. Scratched and

lightly rusted metal still has 95% factory blue and black finish. Non-factory QD swivel studs. Solid

plain walnut stock has lots of dings and scratches. Ruger cloisonné emblem on the side of the butt.

Correct carbine style metal butt plate. A good cleaning will make this a respectable shooter!

R 47. Remington “Apache 77” ser.# A2355049. .22 semi-automatic carbine made in 1987 and sold

through the K-Mart stores. Detachable 10 round plastic magazine. 19 ½” barrel. Original sights.

Excellent bore. Excellent, but dirty, action. Matte black sheet metal receiver cover is grooved for a

scope. It shows light rust and scratches. Lightly rusted blued barrel. Excellent dark green “Zytel”

nylon/plastic checkered stock that doesn’t have the usual scratches. Excellent butt plate. Rather

scarce gun needs a good cleaning!

R 48. Marlin mod. 1894 ser.# 20024750. Lever action carbine chambered in .357. Made before the push

button safety. 18” barrel has a “Micro-Groove” bore that will clean to excellent. Tubular magazine

and a hammer. Original sights. Top of the receiver factory drilled for a scope mount (not included).

Excellent, rather dry, action. 98% original blue with a light coat of rust. Excellent plain walnut

forearm and matching straight grip stock. Excellent butt plate.

R 63. Intratec mod. TEC-22 ser.# 035178. Interesting pre-(1st)ban polymer framed .22 semi-automatic

pistol that uses magazines, mounted in front of the trigger guard, made for the model 10/22 Ruger.

This one has a 50 round Ram-Line “banana” clip. 4” barrel is threaded and has the factory provided

thread protector. Basic fixed sights. Excellent bore and action. Black lower has a ribbed grip section.

Matte black steel upper has hints of rust that could be caught in time, with oil, before it gets bad.

R 64. Masterpiece Arms mod. MPA30 “Defender” ser.# B7890. Unusual top cocking semi-automatic pistol

chambered in 9mm Luger. Reminiscent of the old MAC-10. A blocky, all steel, pistol with a threaded

5 ½” barrel and a grip mounted high capacity magazine. Basic fixed sights. Excellent bore and

action. Matte black metal has forming rust that could easily be stopped by a good cleaning.

65. Connecticut Valley Arms-ASM mod. 1860 ser.# 31292. Modern Italian reproduction of the original Colt .44 cal. 6 shot percussion “Army” revolver. 8” barrel missing the front sight. Wedge screw also

R 68. Savage mod. 516 ser.# F827471. Bolt action pistol chambered in .223 Rem. Features include a left

hand opening bolt, fixed internal magazine, 14” fluted barrel with a muzzle brake that can be closed

or open, attached Weaver style bases, tang safety, clean all stainless steel barrel and receiver, swivel

studs, and a textured black synthetic pistol grip stock. Gun shows a few minor handling marks but

28” barrel choked full, a 3” chamber, and a ventilated rib. Excellent bore and action. The finish on

the blued metal and impressed checkered walnut wood might be fine but the entire gun was covered with camouflage paint, lots of which has worn off. No rust or damage visible. Factory recoil pad.

R 73. Winchester mod. 62A ser.# 243978. Takedown slide action, hammer fired, .22 rifle made in 1948.

Tubular magazine. 23” barrel has the original sights. Excellent bore and action. Right side of the

barrel drilled for a scope mount. Metal finish is a combination of blue, brown, and gray with old rust

and cleaning scratches. Very good grooved walnut forearm and matching straight grip stock. Wood

the hard to find magazine, the rear sight, and a pin in the frame. 24” octagon barrel shows damage,

still works. Dark brown metal covered with old rust residue. Good grooved walnut forearm. Good,

R 75. Steyr mod. 1893 “Mannlicher” ser.# n/a. This is an unusual short rifle. It appears to be a

commercial version of the military rifle or a conversion, possibly done in Europe. Military version

was originally chambered in 6.5X53mmR but this one must be checked. 18” sporter weight barrel.

Ramp front sight. Semi-fixed two leaf rear sight with one folding. Action must be fed by stripper clips

(not included) that are ejected out the bottom of the magazine box. European style sling swivels, one attached to the bottom of the barrel, the other in the stock’s toe line. Very good bore. Excellent

action. Original straight grip military stock was shortened at the fore-end, had the cleaning rod

channel filled, was checkered, and refinished. A fancy, horn like, pistol grip adaptor was attached.

Newer Pachmayr recoil pad to 14” pull. (C&R)

.44 cal. 6 shot single action percussion revolver with a 8” barrel. Bright brass grip frame. Case colored steel frame, loading lever, trigger, and hammer. Balance of the metal blued. Roll engraved

cylinder scene. Plain walnut one piece grip. Revolver is like new, most likely unfired, but the hammer

screw is out of line and not fully turned in. Should be an easy fix.


R 81. Ruger Mark I ser.# 15032. A hammerless .22 semi-automatic target pistol made in 1951, the 3rd

year of production. 6 & 7/8th inch barrel. Adjustable rear sight. Excellent bore and action. Ruger

magazine is probably a later replacement. Blued upper retains 95% factory finish but it shows light rust. Blued lower has turned brown and worn, also, with light rust. Paint spattered but very good

checkered black grips with a paint worn “red eagle” medallion.

R 82. Fabrique National mod. 1900?? ser.# 26063. Vintage hammerless .32 ACP semi-automatic pistol

made in Belgium. Poor bore in the 3 ¾” barrel. Fixed sights. Excellent action. Original metal finish is

gone and is now a worn bare gray with old rust residue. Excellent checkered black plastic

replacement grips. This pistol is much different than numbers 78 and 86. It has an arched back on the grip frame, a slightly shorter barrel, a slightly different frame, and the rear “sight” is an

exaggerated “hump” rather than a sight. Possibly a model 1899 or experimental?? (C&R)

forearm and matching pistol grip stock with a factory recoil pad. Several scratches on the bottom of the pistol grip but, otherwise, the gun looks like new.

carbine. Made in Florida. Detachable magazine. 18” barrel, flip safety, perforated blued steel hand

alloy magazine housing/trigger group has a few scratches. Balance of the fairly clean metal retains 90% blue, the wear being on the bolt. Excellent plain hardwood stock has several light scratches.

barrels along with just a hint of rust. Gray/brown receiver was left in the white and has rather crude factory game scene engraving. Very good checkered walnut splinter forearm held with a push button

latch. Very good matching round knob pistol grip stock shows little hunting marks. Thick trap style

recoil pad to 14” pull.

engraved on the receiver. Fairly clean metal has 92% factory blue with a little carry wear and light scratches on the receiver. The checkered walnut forearm’s, and matching pistol grip stock’s, wood is

excellent but the finish is extremely blistered. Stock was cut to 12 ¾” pull to a replacement butt

are hardwood with a few dings and scratches. Correct metal butt plate with an empty trap. Includes

a web strap, dated 1945, in original swivels, a CMP hard case, and an authenticating certificate from

Balance of the metal has turned a worn gray/brown with a little old rust residue. Excellent grooved

R 112. Winchester mod. 94 XTR “Marksman 1000” ser.# 5116174. Here is a rather scarce .30-30 carbine.

In 1984, as an incentive after buying a Dodge truck, you were given a certificate and, along with

$100, you would receive one of these carbines from Winchester. No solid estimate of how many were actually made. It’s a lever action, hammer fired, top eject carbine with a tubular magazine.

Reinforced frame like the “Big Bore”. Full length magazine tube. This one is full blue. Many had case

colored frames and gold colored triggers and loading port covers. Checkered walnut forearm and

matching straight grip stock featuring a silver colored medallion in the side. 100% original and

surely unfired. Includes the slightly tattered and worn box and all the paperwork. Ever see one?

sights. Swing out cylinder. Fair/poor bore. Good action. Gray/brown worn, pitted, rusty metal. Good

clean a bit better. Solid very good action. Worn gray/brown metal with old rust, mostly on the

barrels. Very good checkered walnut, snap on, splinter forearm and matching “Prince Of Wales” style

operated semi-automatic shotgun made in Italy. Manufactured in 1966. 28” barrel, ventilated rib, 2

¾” chamber, and modified choke. Barrel has a bulge approx. half way. Excellent shiny bore. Excellent action. Black alloy receiver has several scratches. 99% clean factory blue on the barrel.

Very good checkered walnut forearm has dings and light scratches. Very good matching stock, also,

with scratches. Very good butt plate.

127. U. S. mod. 1816 ser.# n/a. A representative example of this antique single shot muzzle loading

military musket. A contract arm made by M. T. Wickham Phila. and so marked on the original flint

lock. Gun was probably used as a shotgun later in life. Cut 36” .69 caliber barrel. No sights. Sling swivels missing. Horrible bore. Action still works fine. Heavily rusted dark brown metal. Fair/poor

stock, cut at the fore-end and initialed by a former owner. Rusty but correct metal butt plate.

128. John Miles single shot ser.# n/a. Antique muzzle loading long fowler or “buck and ball” gun. A

percussion conversion from flintlock. “Miles” in script on the lock plate. “Philada.” Stamped on the

top flat of the part round, part octagon, 42” barrel. Wooden ramrod held in two brass thimbles soldered to the barrel. Typical rusty bore. Single trigger. Good working action. Metal is dark brown

and rusty. Nicely engraved brass trigger guard with an acorn tip. Heavy brass butt plate is also

nicely engraved. Good, for its age, but cracked and scratched plain walnut half stock held with a

wedge pin. Miles also made muskets for the U.S. government.

R 129. Mauser mod ES340B ser.# 300511. Vintage self cocking single shot bolt action .22 semi-target rifle

made in Germany. 26 ¾” barrel has the correct front sight ramp but is missing the sight and hood. Rear sight, adjustable to 200 meters, rides on a graduated scale groove on the barrel. Receiver also

factory grooved for a scope mount. The bolt handle is broken off but included. Excellent action. Bore

should clean to very good or better. Approx. 96% factory blue remains with minimal rust and a few

rub marks. One screw missing, and one screw replaced, in the floor plate. Missing the sling swivels.

Good checkered walnut capped pistol grip stock has a few nasty scratches, a small repair, and a newer recoil pad to 13” pull. (C&R)

130. W & C Scott & Son hammer double ser.# n/a. An all original antique British made 10 ga.

percussion side by side shotgun. Side locks with the original hammers and hammer screws. One

nipple damaged and one missing. 28 ½” “Laminated Steel” barrels. Wooden ramrod with a bell

shaped tip. Ramrod retainer at the muzzles is missing. Rusty bores. Excellent action. Barrels are a

dinged, worn, lightly wire brushed gray/brown with lightly engraved breech sections. Barrels held in the stock with a wedge pin. Gray lock plates and trigger guard also are nicely engraved. Very good,

almost excellent for its age, checkered walnut straight grip stock. Original butt plate. It wouldn’t take

a lot to get this gun shooting again!

R 131. jhv (Metallwaren, Waffen Und Maschinenfabrik mod. G98/40. Nazi marked Hungarian made bolt

action military rifle chambered in standard 8X57mm. Missing the hand guard, forward part of the two piece stock, cleaning rod, and front sight hood. Appears to be all matching except the bolt.

Receiver dated 1942. Original sights. Good bore. Excellent action. Metal has some scattered rust and

wear but retains 92% arsenal blue. Dirty butt stock is actually very good, with very visible proof

rifle/shotgun combination chambered 16 ga. by 9.3X72mmR. 27 ¾” barrels. Shot barrel has a 2 & 9/16th inch chamber. Back action locks with exposed hammers. Opening lever beneath the forearm.

Semi-fixed sights. Ear of one hammer broken off. Lightly pitted shot bore. Good rifled bore. Excellent

action. Worn gray/brown metal with light engraving on several parts. Fair chipped checkered walnut

forearm is missing the wedge pin that holds it. Good/very good checkered round knob pistol grip

cheek piece stock, with scratches. One sling swivel mounted beneath the barrels and one in the stock toe line. Correct smooth metal butt plate. (C&R)


R 133. Japanese “Type 45/46” ser.# 590?? Commonly known as the “Siamese Mauser”, this is a military

bolt action rifle receiver with a modern 25” heavy sporter weight barrel chambered in .45-70. The

barrel is just lightly screwed into place and is unfinished. Dust cover missing, but original otherwise. Action works fine. No wood. Smooth blotchy blue and gray metal.

134. Unknown maker single shot ser.# n/a. Antique full stock “Kentucky” style muzzle loading long rifle.

No maker’s marks on the barrel but the lock is stamped “James M. Cooper Pittsburgh Warranted”.

Cooper worked in Pittsburgh in the 1840s to ‘60s. 42” octagon barrel of approx. .36 caliber. Dark

bore, but with very strong rifling. Original sights. Very good action with working double set triggers.

Dark brown metal has pitting in the nipple area. Wooden ramrod. Brass trigger guard, butt plate, and trim. Large engraved fancy brass patch box. Naturally striped, slim, hardwood stock with a

cheek piece has chips, scratches, and cracks.

135. Providence Tool Co. “Peabody” ser.# n/a. Antique single shot Martini style lever action rifle. One of

only 2000 made for a contract to the state of Connecticut. After 1877 Connecticut had the

Providence company rebarrel the rifles in .45-70 caliber. This appears to be one of those rifles in that it does chamber a .45-70 cartridge but must be checked. 33” barrel. Original sights. Missing the

cleaning rod and a lock screw. Dark bore with strong rifling. Excellent action. All metal is dark

brown and rusty. Very rough, but original, full length walnut forearm and straight grip stock. No

swivels but the rear swivel plate is stamped “Conn. 281”. Correct metal butt plate.

R 136. D. W. M. mod. 1908 (98) ser.# 152. No import marks visible on this 7X57mm bolt action Mauser

military rifle made in Germany for a contract to Brazil. Original configuration and all matching. 30” barrel. Correct sights. Fair dark bore. Excellent action. Rifle is very dirty and greasy overall. Receiver

and bolt were left in the white. Balance of the metal blued. Plain wooden hand guard and stock have

lots of little dings and scratches. Considered one of the finest quality Mausers, after a good cleaning

this will be a very good example. (C&R)

137. J. & W. H. Moll single shot ser.# 1919?? A combination of antique and more modern in this percussion half stock muzzle loading rifle. Maker’s name stamped on the top flat of the 39 ½”

octagon barrel. Original sights. Bore of approx. .36 caliber is rusty but has very strong rifling. Action

and double set triggers are not working. No maker’s name on the lock plate. Brass trigger guard,

butt plate, and generic patch box. Wooden ramrod. Rusty gray metal. Fair, chipped, plain walnut

cheek piece stock may be newer than the rest of the gun???

R 138. Mossberg mod. 42M-B ser.# 14668. “United States Property” marked and British proofed .22 bolt action rifle with a clip. Probably part of WW II’s lend lease program. 22” barrel has the original barrel

sights but is missing the front hood. Factory drilled for a scope mount and a receiver sight (not

included). Also has extra holes for another receiver sight. Bolt’s dust cover intact. Very good bright

bore. Excellent action. 90% factory blue turning brown in spots and showing a little old rust residue.

R 139. French hammerless ser.# 3367. A St. Etienne made box lock 12 ga. side by side shotgun. Possibly a

guild gun because the exterior is completely unmarked. 25 ¼” barrels are smokeless powder nitro

proofed and stamped “M. Merley”, probably the barrel maker. 2 ½” chambers. Choked modified and

improved cylinder. Depressed matted rib. Lightly pitted bores. Double triggers, extractors, and side clips. Manual safety. Excellent solid action. Metal is fairly smooth but has a worn gray/brown finish.

Good heavily sanded and revarnished plain walnut splinter forearm. Very good matching straight

grip stock was also revarnished. Sling swivel mounted beneath the barrels and one in the stock toe

line. Very good original butt plate. (C&R)


140. Belgian single shot ser.# C942. A well done reproduction of a mid to late 1700s flintlock muzzle

loading, smooth bore, 3 band musket. Could be a copy of a Belgian, French, Austrian, or any other

European musket of the time period. 44” round barrel. Front sight mounted on the front barrel band. Steel ramrod. Rusty bore of approx. .69 caliber. Excellent action. Brass bands, trigger guard,

and trim. Balance of the reasonably clean metal left in the white. Excellent full length stock has a

dished comb. Wood has several scratches and there is a little cleaned rust but, overall, the gun

shows only moderate use.

R 141. Mauser mod. 98 ser.# 2296. Quality Oberndorf, Germany made bolt action 8X57mm military rifle

that has been altered into a hunting gun. “Mauser” banner marked front receiver ring dated 1934. Pre-Nazi. All matching numbers. 24” stepped barrel has a barrel band style ramp front sight. No rear

barrel sight but there is a Lyman receiver sight mounted on the right side. Original turned down bolt

handle. Excellent bright bore. Excellent action. 89% thinning original blue with a little scattered old

rust. No hand guard. Original stock was cut at the fore-end and has an aluminum nose cap. Pistol

grip was expertly carved with a fern design. Sling swivel on the side and a recoil pad to 13” pull. (C&R)

142. Springfield mod. 1888 ser.# 559007. Antique .45-70 “trapdoor” single shot U.S. military rifle.

Receiver made in 1893. Rifle was altered into carbine configuration. 22 ½” barrel. Post and blade

front sight. Original rear sight. One piece trigger guard with a sling swivel. Very good bright bore.

Excellent action. Receiver and barrel are a worn bare gray with light rust. Balance of the metal has

lightly blistered and worn nickel plating that indicates this may have been a parade rifle at one time. Good walnut stock was cut at the fore-end and had the cleaning rod channel filled. Nickel plated,

original, metal butt plate with no trap.

143. Tyler Davidson single shot ser.# n/a. Antique muzzle loading percussion long rifle by this

Cincinnati, OH maker. 42” octagon barrel has the original sights and is stamped with a stylized “D”.

Lightly engraved lock stamped “T Davidson & Co.”. Good frosted bore, of approx. .32 cal., has very strong rifling. Action and double set triggers are not working properly. Wooden ramrod. Brass trigger

guard, butt plate, small patch box, and trim. Pitted metal worn/cleaned to bare gray. Very good, for

its age, full length naturally tiger striped maple stock.

R 144. D. W. M. mod. 1908 ser.# 433. No import marks visible on this 7X57mm bolt action Mauser military

rifle made in Germany for a contract to Brazil. Original configuration and all matching. 30” barrel

even has the original brass muzzle cover. Correct sights. Good bore. Excellent action. Rifle is very dirty and greasy overall. Receiver and bolt were left in the white. Balance of the metal blued. Plain

wooden hand guard and matching stock have lots of little dings and scratches. Considered one of the

finest quality Mausers, after a good cleaning this will be another very good example. (C&R)

R 145. Chinese mod. JW-8 ser.# 97361. Bolt action .22 light target rifle, with a clip, made in 1980. 23”

barrel. Original sights, the rear is a military style graduated to 200 meters. Grooved receiver. Bore will clean to excellent. Excellent action. Blued metal. Excellent hardwood semi-target stock features

a cheek piece, swivel rail, swivels, and an excellent butt plate. Gun shows little or no use.

146. Eagle Gun Factory single shot ser.# n/a. Antique muzzle loading percussion long rifle made in

Philadelphia. Top of the 36” barrel stamped with the maker’s name and address. Heavy barrel, of

approx. .45 cal., measures 1” across the muzzle. Missing the sights and ramrod. Dirty, rusty, bore

with no rifling visible. Double set triggers and action not working. Brass trigger guard, butt plate, and trim. Nicely engraved pineapple shaped brass patch box. Metal is dark brown, pitted, and rusty.

Fair/good full length acid striped hardwood stock has cracks, mold, scratches, and is missing the

nose cap.


147. Wilkes-Barre Gun Co. hammer double ser.# 562. Antique Pennsylvania made 12 ga. side by side

shotgun with exposed hammers. Appears to be a combination side and box lock. 32” Damascus

barrels. Matted center rib. Bores will clean to a pitted very good. Solid excellent action. Barrels were originally browned and much finish and Damascus pattern are still visible. Blue/gray receiver and

side plates have scattered old rust residue. Good checkered walnut splinter forearm with extreme

wear. Matching checkered round knob pistol grip stock has nicks, scratches, and a poorly repaired

toe break. Original Parry Firearms embossed butt plate has a piece broken off. Nice old gun should

be restored!

R 148. C. J. Hamilton & Son mod. No. 27 ser.# n/a. Not a bad example of this vintage .22 single shot “boy’s” rifle with a bolt operated tip open action. 15” barrel. Original sights. Good bore. Excellent

crisp action. Metal retains 95% factory blue covered with old rust residue. Original forearm has

cracks. Very good matching “board” stock has scratches and finish wear. Correct metal butt plate.

149. William Parker hammer double ser.# 81?? An antique Birmingham, England made 16 ga. percussion side by side. 30” barrel are, surely, twist steel and are stamped on the rib “Gun Maker To

His Majesty”. The side locks are numbered “199” and “200”. Each barrel’s breech section has/had a

small gold inlay embossed “W. Parker Holborn London” but one is missing. There are also damaged

gold breech bands. Barrels held in the wood with a wedge pin. Wooden ramrod. Typical rusty bores.

Nipples have been replaced with wooden inserts. Excellent action. Metal shows areas of high quality

engraving. The finish is a dark rusty brown. Correct metal butt plate. Straight grip, dark walnut, cheek piece stock has a checkered wrist. There is a small sliver of wood missing from the fore-end.

Interesting old gun!

R 150. Walther “Sportmodell” ser.# 29499. Vintage self cocking single shot bolt action .22 semi-target rifle

made in Germany. Crown B, U, G proofed “Nitro” steel 25 ½” barrel has the correct front sight ramp

but is missing the sight and hood. Rear sight is missing. There is a graduated scale groove on the barrel for the sight to move in. Receiver also factory grooved for a scope mount. Excellent action.

Bore should clean to excellent. Approx. 96% factory blue remains with dirt and scattered light rust.

Plastic trigger guard has a checkered bottom. Original sling swivels. Very good checkered walnut

capped pistol grip stock has a crack at the fore-end tip. (C&R)

magazine tube. Made before the hammer blocking safety. Original sights. Like new bore and action.

Metal has a few light hunting scratches but no rust. 98+% factory blue remains. Plain walnut

forearm has a few light scratches and a hard to see chip. This early production version has a straight

grip plain walnut stock with an excellent semi-crescent plastic butt plate. Wood does show several hunting marks. Swivel stud in the toe.

R 161. Yugoslavian mod. 98 ser.# 5050. A “Preduzece 44”marked bolt action 8X57mm Mauser military rifle

made in Germany and refurbished after it was captured. Some German parts visible. Most numbers

match or were restamped to match. No import marks on the barrel. Original configuration and

complete. Good bore with strong dark rifling. Excellent action. Yugoslav crest on the receiver. 99%

new arsenal blue. Very good laminated hand guard and matching full length stock. Correct metal butt plate. (C&R)

R 162. Wards “Western Field” ser.# 17045B. A vintage model 520 Stevens 12 ga. solid frame pump shotgun

made for Montgomery Ward. Barrel cut to 23” with no choke and no front bead. Chamber length

unknown. Browning designed action, with a locking lug that “pops” up through the top of the

receiver, is excellent and slick. Safety in the trigger guard. Bright excellent bore. Fairly clean metal. The receiver is medium gray and might have been cold blued. 95% factory satin blue on the barrel.

Balance of the metal gray/brown. Excellent revarnished checkered walnut forearm. Excellent

revarnished, matching, butt stock has a slip on recoil pad to 14” pull. (C&R)

finish got on the metal. Very good checkered walnut forearm has one fine crack. Fair cracked butt

semi-carbine configuration. 24” barrel has a poor bore. Action works fine. Rifle looks like a battlefield

“Vulcan Steel” barrels. Double triggers and extractors. Chambers measure less than 2 ¾”. Choked

full and improved cylinder. Bores will clean bright and shiny. Automatic safety. Excellent solid action. Metal was cleaned and worn to mostly bare gray with old rust residue spots overall. Very

good checkered walnut splinter forearm held with a border engraved latch. Poor repaired capped

R 174. Japanese “Type 45/46” ser.# 129?? Commonly known as the “Siamese Mauser”, this is a military

bolt action rifle receiver with a modern 24 ½” heavy sporter weight barrel chambered in .45-70.

Unfinished barrel shows lots of crude wrench marks. Dust cover missing, but original otherwise and has the Thai crest still intact. Bolt won’t close because the barrel is improperly installed. No wood.

Receiver retains most of the original blue. Barrel is in the white.

175. Unknown maker single shot ser.# n/a. Antique Indian trade style muzzle loading percussion long

rifle. 41” octagon barrel of approx. .36 caliber. Original sights. Lock maker’s name stamped on the

plate but it’s been obliterated by pitting. Poor bore with visible rifling. Working double set triggers

and action. New nipple. Brass trigger guard, butt plate, and trim. Wooden ramrod. Dark brown metal. Top of the barrel decorated full length with engraving. Fair chipped, cracked, acid striped full

length hardwood cheek piece stock has a tacked on brass repair on the side.

R 176. Waffenfabrik Mauser mod. 96 ser.# 1071. A superb example of this 6.5X55mm bolt action military

rifle. Commonly called a Swedish Mauser, this one was made in Germany as part of a 45,000 piece

contract to Sweden. 100% original down to the correct muzzle cover. All matching. No import marks visible. Receiver dated 1900. Very good bore. Like new action. Bolt, finished in the white, is bright

and clean Balance of the clean metal retains 98% factory blue. Excellent hand guard and matching

full length hardwood stock. The toe line has one nasty ding. Correct swivels, brass marking disc, and

butt plate. Difficult to improve upon. (C&R)

177. Unknown maker single shot ser.# n/a. Antique muzzle loading percussion long rifle. 41” octagon

barrel, of approx. .34 caliber, stamped “Philada” on the top flat. Original sights. Lock maker’s name stamped on the plate but it’s been obliterated by pitting. Poor bore with very visible rifling. Very good

working double set triggers and action. New nipple. Brass trigger guard, butt plate, and trim. Plain

brass patch box with an opening button in the toe. Wooden ramrod. Dark gray/brown metal shows

some cleaning. Good full length acid striped hardwood cheek piece stock has much wear and one or

two small cracks.

R 178. Japanese “Type 45/46” ser.# n/a?? Commonly known as the “Siamese Mauser”, this is a military

bolt action chambered in 8X52mmR. Chamber should be checked to be sure the barrel wasn’t

rechambered. Altered into a sporting rifle. Original rear sight cut down at the arsenal to

accommodate this cartridge. Dust cover missing but has the Thai crest still intact on the receiver.

Original 29 ½” barrel. Good/very good bore. Bolt handle crudely altered to clear a scope but the

receiver was never drilled. Excellent action. Approx. 90% arsenal finish remains on the metal, along with a few spots of pitting. Excellent plain walnut sporter stock with a cheek piece, swivel studs, and

179. William Moore hammer double ser.# n/a. Antique 10 or 11 gauge percussion side by side made in

England. All original and not a bad example! 30” barrels stamped on the top rib “William Moore

London Laminated Steel. Side locks with exposed hammers. Excellent nipples. Typical rusty but shootable bores. Excellent action. Original brass tipped wooden ramrod. Nicely engraved lock plates,

trigger guard, tangs, breeches, and hammers. Worn gray/brown metal with old rust residue.

Excellent checkered dark walnut straight grip stock held at the front with a wedge pin. Correct

smooth metal butt plate. This could still be a great black powder shooter!

R 180. Browning “Gold Hunter” ser.# F01NR22017. 12 ga. takedown semi-auto. shotgun made in Belgium

and assembled in Portugal. Manufactured in 1997. 30” barrel, ventilated rib, 3 ½” chamber, and one Invector Plus screw in choke tube. Excellent bore and action. Magazine cut off allows single loading.

Black alloy receiver and trigger guard show several scratches. 98% gloss factory blue on the barrel.

Very good/excellent checkered walnut forearm and matching pistol grip stock. Wood has light

surface scratches. Swivel studs and a factory black rubber recoil pad.


R 181. D. W. M. mod. 1908 (98) ser.# 4747. No import marks visible on this 7X57mm bolt action Mauser

stock percussion rifle by J. H. Johnston. All this stamped on the top flat of the 34” octagon barrel.

“Leman” stamped on the very plain lock plate. Original sights, the rear is screw adjustable. Approx. .38 cal. bore is bright and very close to excellent. Wooden ramrod. Working double set triggers.

Action not working. Small chip out of the hammer face. Dark brown metal with old rust. Mellow

brass trigger guard, patch box, butt plate, and trim. Stock would be very good but the front of the

fore-end is broken off.

R 183. Japanese “Type 99 Arisaka” ser.# 203-1457. WW II era 7.7mm bolt action military rifle in the rather scarce takedown configuration. Unfortunately sporterized for hunting. 23” barrel has a Redfield

ramp front sight. Most of the rear sight is missing. Bolt handle turned down. Very good bright bore.

Excellent action. Blue/brown metal with old light rust. The rear part of the stock is original and very

good, with the correct swivel and metal butt plate. Fore-end has been shortened and there is no

hand guard. Original front barrel band and swivel intact. (C&R)

184A. First of a lot of 2. Great Western Gun Works single shot ser.# n/a. Antique Pittsburgh, PA made muzzle loading half stock percussion rifle by J. H. Johnston. All this stamped on the top flat of the

35” octagon barrel. Original sights. Bore of approx. .38 cal. is bright and close to excellent. Wooden

ramrod. Working double set triggers. Action not working. Dirty, rusty, dark brown metal, with pitting

in the nipple area. Brass trigger guard, patch box, and butt plate. Damaged pewter nose cap. Very

poor stock.

184B. Second of the lot. Unknown maker single shot ser.# n/a. A rusty antique percussion shotgun barrel

and back action lock plate in a wooden half stock. All junk.

185. Lefever Arms Co. “G Grade” ser.# 24101. Antique hammerless side lock 12 ga. side by side made in

1896. Double triggers and extractors. Dent free 30” Damascus barrels choked full and modified.

Chambers measure less than 2 ¾”. Excellent bores. Automatic safety. Cocking indicators. Excellent

action. Opening lever still angled to the right. Scattered rust on the browned barrels that show lots of Damascus pattern. 40% very thin case color on the, otherwise, gray receiver. Very good checkered

walnut snap on forearm. The “dog’s head” emblem set into the forearm is very worn. Excellent

matching capped pistol grip stock was nicely refinished. Very good “LAC” logo butt plate. Nice old

gun!

186. J. Henry & Son single shot ser.# n/a. Antique muzzle loading half stock percussion rifle. Henry, from Boulton, PA, and his son were well known Phila. gun makers who also made secondary military

muskets under contract to the state of PA. This is a fur trade plains style rifle from the 1860s. 37”

octagon barrel of approx. .32 caliber. Maker’s name stamped on the barrel and plain lock plate.

Appears to be 100% original overall. Correct sights. Working double set triggers. Very good action.

1956. All original and has the Romanian crest on the receiver. 27 ½” barrel. Fixed open sights. Bore

should clean to very good. Excellent miniature Mauser style action. Dirty metal retains 95% original

satin blue with a hint of rust at spots. Military style hardwood half stock shows dings, scratches, and small chips. Correct butt plate and three swivels studs. (C&R)


188. Great Western Gun Works single shot ser.# n/a. Antique Pittsburgh, PA made muzzle loading half

stock percussion rifle by J. H. Johnston. All this stamped on the top flat of the 38” octagon barrel.

Unmarked plain lock plate. Original sights. Approx. .28 cal. bore is bright, with strong rifling. Wooden ramrod. Working double set triggers. Good/very good action. Dark brown metal with spots

of old rust. Lacquered brass trigger guard, patch box, butt plate, and trim. Very good plain walnut

stock with a fine crack and the usual wear. Not a bad example!

R 189. Steyr mod. 1912-61 ser.# G4950. Vintage Austrian made model 98 style Mauser military rifle

altered by a Chilean arsenal to fire 7.62X51mm (.308 Win.) ammunition. Receiver has the crest of

Chile and is stamped “Nato”. 24” barrel is an excellent bright, 2 groove, 03A3 U.S. military barrel altered, at the arsenal, to fit. Cleaning rod missing and the opening partially filled at the arsenal.

Bolt is mismatched. Correct military style sights. Excellent action. Rifle is a bit dirty but shows very

little rust. Receiver and bolt finished in the white. Balance of the metal retains 89% thin blue. Solid

hand guard and full length walnut stock with lots of little dings and scratches but, also, a very

visible cartouche. Correct metal butt plate, swivels, and leather strap. Interesting Mauser! (C&R)

.44 Mag. Manufactured in 1978. 6 ½” pinned barrel. Adjustable white outline rear sight. Red ramp

front sight. Swing out cylinder with recessed chambers. Perfect bore and action. Case colored target hammer and trigger. 99++% clean factory gloss blue with a faint cylinder line. Very good checkered

walnut target grips have a few small dings. This gun was professionally “Mag-Na-Ported” but it does

not detract from its overall appearance. Includes the wooden display case with some tools and all the

paperwork. One of the good ones!

swing out cylinder. Excellent bore and action. 99++% glossy factory blue with just a faint cylinder

excellent. Excellent action. Metal has 98% factory blue with traces of scattered rust and a few

scratches. Very good plain stock is a much fancier piece of walnut than usually seen on this type

Selector on the hammer. Excellent bores and action. Black receiver factory engraved with a turkey

and fox. Fairly clean blued barrels. A section of the breech shows chemically thinned blue. Excellent

impressed checkered walnut forearm and matching capped pistol grip Monte Carlo stock. Wood has

light hunting marks and a chemical has removed some finish on the comb. Excellent butt plate.

R 210. Mossberg mod. 500A ser.# K946540. 12 ga. takedown slide action slug gun. 24” fully rifled barrel has a cantilever base holding a Tasco 3-9X scope in Tasco rings. 3” chamber. Excellent bore and

action. Excellent black finish on the alloy receiver. Balance of the fairly clean blued metal shows

marks on the magazine tube from “pumping”. Excellent impressed checkered hardwood forearm and

matching stock, both with minor hunting marks. Gun was originally shipped with a high and a low,

removable, comb and both are included. Also includes a leather strap in quick detachable swivels. Factory recoil pad.

Dent free 33” “Fine Twist” barrels. Shiny bores were cleaned up. Excellent action. Lightly engraved

side plates, trigger guard, and hammers. Wooden ramrod appears to be original. Worn, smooth, gray/brown metal. Very good, almost excellent for its age, checkered walnut straight grip stock held

at the front with a wedge pin. Correct smooth metal butt plate. The fine bores and new nipples

suggest someone was still shooting this solid old gun!

217. Unknown maker single shot ser.# n/a. Antique muzzle loading percussion “Kentucky” style long

rifle. Approx. .46 caliber. 39” octagon barrel is unmarked and is missing its sights. Lock plate stamped “A.W. Spies Warranted”. Spies was a prominent New York dealer and sales agent in the

early to mid 1800s. He was not a gun maker, just a dealer. Good action. Damaged nipple. Single

trigger. Dirty rusty bore. Wooden ramrod. Fancy engraved brass trigger guard. Large plain brass

patch box, butt plate, and trim. Worn gray/brown metal with pitting in the nipple area. Fair full

length plain walnut cheek piece stock with areas of damage.

R 218. D. W. M. “Gew 98” ser.# 405. A vintage German military bolt action used as the basis for this .22-250 heavy barreled custom “varmint” rifle. No indication who did the work but it appears to be well

done. 28” barrel measures 1” across the muzzle and has two holes for scope blocks. New bolt handle.

Top of the receiver slightly altered and drilled for a scope mount (not included). Mauser floor plate.

Trigger guard recontoured. Excellent bore. The action needs to be seen by a gunsmith. The rifle will

fire when the bolt is closed. Single stage trigger might just be set too light. Fairly clean metal has 98% of a professional blue. Very good plain walnut heavy stock has an exaggerated roll over cheek

piece, a capped pistol grip, metal lined swivel holes, and a recoil pad to 14 ¾” pull.

R 219. D. W. M.-C.A.I. mod. 1904 Mauser-Vergueiro ser.# 9668. Import marked 8X57mm bolt action

military rifle made in Germany for a contact to Portugal. Portuguese crest on the receiver. Not a true

model 98 action, although it has some mod. 98 features. Split rear receiver bridge through which the

bolt handle travels. The caliber designation “6.5” was XXd out and the importer stamped the caliber as “8mm” but a standard 8X57mm cartridge won’t chamber so the caliber must be decided by a

chamber cast. 25” barrel. Original sights and muzzle cover, the rear sight altered to compensate for

the new caliber. Cleaning rod intact. Hinged floor plate with a release in the trigger guard. Shiny very

good bore. Excellent action. Much light pitting on the visible part of the barrel. Approx. 89% blue

looks original. Very good hand guard and matching full length stock. Correct butt plate and swivels. Includes an original looking leather strap. A seldom seen military rifle! (C&R)

R 220. J. Stevens “Ideal No. 44 ½” ser.# 3854. A vintage “custom” lever action single shot .22 rifle that

strongly resembles Stevens’ no. 47 “Range Rifle”. A 44 ½ action with a #4 weight Winchester mod.

1885 barrel. 24 ½” long half round, half octagon, barrel has multiple holes drilled in the top for

scope bases (not included) and has a globe front sight. No rear sight but the tang is also drilled for a

sight (not included). Bore should clean to excellent. Excellent action has a full lever and was “decorated” on the sides with a punch. Worn blue/gray/brown metal has old smooth rust residue.

Very good plain walnut, unfinished, forearm has a small repair. The pistol grip butt stock is made of

glued together pieces of unfinished walnut. If it was finished with a dark stain, it might not look too

bad. Heavy crescent metal butt plate from an unknown rifle. Interesting gun! (C&R)


R 221. C. Sharps Arms Co. mod. 1875 ser.# 0-971. A modern Big Timber, Mont., U.S.A. made reproduction

of the original single shot, side hammer, falling block rifle. Resembles Sharps’ current “Target and

Sporting Rifle” but has a 28” heavy barrel that measures 7/8th inch across the muzzle. Chambered in .40-2 ½” Sharps Straight. Top of the round barrel non-factory drilled for a scope mount (not

included). Multi-adjustable, period style, tang sight. Like new bore and action. Case colored receiver

and lever. Balance of the clean metal satin blued. Excellent Schnabel tipped plain walnut forearm.

Matching pistol grip, cheek piece, stock has a bad toe chip. Correct checkered metal butt plate. Gun

really doesn’t show a lot of use.

R 222. Japanese “Type 99 Arisaka” ser.# 67261. 7.7mm series 25 bolt action military rifle made at the Koishkawa (Tokyo) Arsenal. Original configuration. No provision for a cleaning rod. The dust cover is

included and the receiver “mum” is intact. “Last ditch” style fixed rear sight. Matching bolt. Good,

bright, but “frosty” bore. Excellent action. Blue/brown metal is actually pretty clean. Excellent hand

guard and a very good full length stock. Correct swivels and wooden butt plate. Not a bad example!

“Kentucky” long rifle. 37” octagon barrel of approx. .46 caliber. Original sights. Wooden ramrod.

Rusty bore has no rifling visible. Single trigger. Excellent action. The unmarked lock on this gun is

finished in the white and, almost, looks like a repro.??? Brass trigger guard, butt plate, side plate,

and trim. Large plain brass patch box. Dark brown barrel with old rust residue. Good, for its age,

full length plain walnut cheek piece stock with a toe repair.

224. Remington mod. 1894 “AE Grade” ser.# 120187. Antique 12 ga. hammerless box lock side by side

shotgun. Dent free 30” Damascus barrels choked full and modified. 2 & 5/8th inch chambers.

Automatic safety. Double triggers and automatic ejectors. Excellent shiny bores. Excellent solid

action. Metal has worn to gray and shows a few old rust stains. Damascus pattern still visible on the

barrels. Good checkered walnut splinter forearm, held with a push button latch, has a few edge chips. Very good matching “Prince Of Wales” style pistol grip stock. Newer recoil pad to 14” pull.

R 225. Haenel??? “System Aydt” ser.# 4036. Vintage single shot, lever action, falling block German made

Schuetzen rifle chambered in 8.15X46mmR. 32” octagon barrel is “BUG” proofed. Damaged front

sight. Original tang peep sight is missing but there is a rather elaborate multi-adjustable sight

included that could, possibly, be adapted to the rifle. Very good bore. Excellent action. Working

double set triggers. Trigger group easily removed for cleaning. Fairly clean receiver and elaborate lever retain full coverage, but fading, case colors. Minimal rust residue on the factory blued barrel.

Plain hardwood Schnabel forearm has a crack, dings, and scratches. Matching checkered straight

grip stock, with a large exaggerated cheek piece, has lots of dings and scratches. Original sling

tuner. Tang safety. Slick short throw action. Satin black metal. Checkered black synthetic stock. Rifle is new in the original box with all paperwork.

R 236. Savage mod. 99EG ser.# 414822. A superb example of this 1941 production solid frame,

hammerless, lever action rifle chambered in .250-3000. 24” barrel. Original sights. Brass rotary

internal cartridge counter magazine. Factory drilled for a tang sight but never drilled for a scope

mount. Safety by the lever. Like new bore and action. Clean metal retains 99++% factory satin blue.

Strong case color on the lever. Excellent checkered walnut slim tapered Schnabel forearm. Excellent capped and checkered pistol grip stock. Butt stock does have one fine crack and a few handling

R 237. Remington mod. 725 ser.# 704510. Standard grade bolt action rifle made in 1958. Chambered in

desirable .280 Rem. 22” barrel has the original sights including the front hood. Black alloy trigger

guard and hinged floor plate. Excellent shiny bore. Like new action. Clean metal has 99% factory blue. The checkered walnut Monte Carlo stock, with a capped pistol grip, shows quite a bit of

hunting use. Dings, scratches, spots of finish wear, and a crack in the fore-end tip. Correct

checkered aluminum butt plate. Includes a leather sling in original swivels and a 3-9X Bushnell

“Scope Chief” scope in a top mounted Pachmayr flip over mount. A scarce model in a great caliber!

R 238. Remington mod. 141 ser.# 3027. Takedown .35 Rem. slide action in the scarce carbine configuration. Barrel code indicates the gun was made either 1935 or 1946. Neither one is supposed

to be correct. 18 ½” barrel. Original sights. Never drilled for a scope. Spiral magazine tube. Excellent

shiny bore. Excellent slick action. Metal is fairly clean but shows hunting use, with approx. 80%

factory blue remaining. Excellent grooved walnut forearm and matching straight grip stock were
