What a fantastic athletics
carnival! Thank you to all
those that helped out to make
this event such a success.
This week, we have started
parent teacher interviews.
Confirmation of interview
times have already been sent
home. Final touches are
being put onto semester 1
reports which will be going
home shortly.
As I stated in a letter that was
sent home last week, this term
will be my last at Gunning
Public School as I will be
taking up the position of
Principal at Queanbeyan East
Public School, commencing in
term 3. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank every
member of the school
community for making my time
here something that I will
remember fondly for a very
long time. When details of my
replacement are known I will
send out information informing
all families.
Due to a very busy schedule
on the final few days we will
be needing to hold the
assembly at 9:30am, Friday

Gunning Gold - Bagging Dates
It’s that time of year again!! The P&C would like all of our families at our school to be touched by Gunning Gold Fever!
Make sure that you label your equipment so you remember what was yours when we pack up and bring plenty of warm clothes.
Some pre-soaped washers for dirty hands might come in handy also!

4th August (1st Bagging Day).
11th August (2nd Bagging Day - If required).
18th August (3rd Bagging Day - Emergency date for bad weather)
Saturday 2:00pm 24th August - Loading at the Cosgrove’s property. Property name is ‘Rockview’, 3897 Biala Rd Biala. Head to Crookwell from Gunning, 4th road on left (Biala Rd) about 24km from Gunning. Then first white ramp on left about 2-3km from Grabben Gullen Rd. Keep to the left of tracks, past sheds and shearing huts to shearing shed.
25st August - Delivery Day into Canberra 2:00pm. Drinks at Gundaroo Pub!!!.
Voluntary Contributions
Each year parents are asked to make a voluntary
monetary contribution to the school.
Funds are used to support a variety of different
programs including individual class music lessons.
Money can be paid as a lump sum of $40 or as
termly payments of $10 per child.
Payments can be made at the front office, over the
phone or online at the school website.
