    Dear Readers,

This article, Guru Nanaks Journeys to the Middle East written perhaps by Kunwar AjitSingh and translated in English by Inderjit Singh Jhajj is totally misleading and false. Let

    me tell you how?

    1) In the city of Madina (Madinah Munawra)On pages 4 to 7, it talks about:

Taajudin Naqshbandi gave his diary to the library in 1512? There was no library inMadina at that time.

Syed Mushtaq Hussain went to the University in Madina in 1927-30? There was no

    University in Madina.

If he went to the Masjid-e-Nabvi (Prophets Mosque) library, it was built in 1951. Wehave researched: Nothing found!

Syed Mushtaq Hussain did research in Madina in the years 1927-30? There was no

research center; the first University in Madina was built in 1961.

No diary was found and none had ever heard about it.

Miracle of freezing hands and limbs

When the Muslim community heard the singing - and on the mausoleum of ProphetMohammad - it caused a flood of emotion and anger. They grabbed whatever arms theycould and ran, but as they raised their hands in order to strike and kill, they froze. Hazrat

Ali, the descendant of Mohammad Sahibs son-in-law and a Khalifa (Leader; a successorof Mohammad), put his fingers in his ears and was arrested in this pose.Astaghfar

Allah; Its disrespectful, to say the least.Hazrat Ali was arrested in the year 1512? Theauthor does not know that this Caliph of Islam had died in the year 661 while Guru

Nanak was there in or around the year 1512.

    2) In the city of Mecca (Makkah Muazima)Page 8:

Miracle of water springQuote: {Syed read and made notes of some key accounts from the following two books:

Tareekhe Arab and Siyahto Baba Nanak Fakir. These accounts include Guru Nanakcreating a springso that the author of Siyahto Baba Nanak Fakir could wash before

    sayingNamaz. The account of Kaaba turningis also listed in his notes.}

Not True! Neither two books nor a handwritten manuscript of these books was found byus in the Mosques and Madrasahs of Madinah.

Zam Zam is the only water spring in Mecca, its in Kabaa. There is none other in oraround Mecca and the story of moving Kabaa is totally fake. Check it yourselves. You

can do it on the internet or contact Al-Madinah University.

    Page 17:

From Mecca, the Guru went to the nearby town of Amara. It was in Amara that the Gurugranted benediction to the towns chief, Janab Imam Gulam Kadar, the son of Imam

Jafar. To display his gratitude, the Imam dedicated his mosque to the Guru and histeachings. To this day, according to Mushtaq, this mosque is known as Masjide Wali

Hind (Mosque of the Indian Prophet). The towns people had to build a separate mosquefor themselves. Absolutely false: If you have any doubt, contact the Saudi Arabian

Ministry of Information to check if they ever had a mosque called as such?

    3)

False quotes attributed to Guru Nanak

    Page 11:

Surah Al-Baqarah {2:196}The author quotes this Surah (he calls it Surat Badar) out of context. It reads, And, do

not shave your heads until the offering has been sacrificed. In other words, you shaveyour head thereafter. Guru Nanak is said to have read Quran daily. Dr. Trilochan Singh

says, he always kept Quran with him and when he was with a Muslim, he prayed like aMuslim. By the way, Guru Nanak did not practice 5ks including Kesh; they were

decreed after his death by the 9thGuru Gobind Singh.

Surah Qaf {50:16}Quote: {On the issue of whether or not God lives in Kaaba, the Guru said: even the

Quran challenges the notion of considering Kaaba as Gods abode.} Totally false: NeitherQuran nor Hadith say that God lives in Kabaa.

    =========================

Qazis illnessThe Qazi tried to get up but couldnt because his body was too weak. The Guru helped

him up by putting his hands under the Qazis arms, and then hugged him. His touch madeQazis illness disappear; he felt healthy and enlightened. He saw a vision that the Angels,

who were pushing him toward hell, let him go upon hearing the voice of Nanak. I leave itto you if you want to believe in it.

    4) ConclusionI could carry on but its enough to prove my point that the entire article is faulty and fake. The question is why do they do it? By attributing such fallacies, fake books, fictitious

authors, false quotes, myths and miracles to Guru Nanak, they are not doing any good to

him. As we all respect Guru Nanak, we should also respect and revere what he said aboutProphet Muhammad, Quran and the teachings of Islam. Copy and paste to watch thisvideo for a complete reference: https://vimeo.com/76954806

    1) Pak Perheo Kalman Rab Da Muhammad Nal Mila-e (Guru says, reciteKalman)

    2) Lanat Burse Tanhan Jo Tarak Namaaz Krain (Guru advocates Namaaz fivedaily prayers)

    3) Eheo Char Kateeb Hain Parh Ke Dekh Quran (Guru is asking us to readQuran)

The author does not know about Prophet Mohammad, please watch Guru Nanaks 16

    th

descendant, Kunwar Singh Bedis great poem for the man who was sent as a mercy to the

whole of mankind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU08Nqs1H9ASuch fake story writers mislead the Sikh children and create ill-will amongst Muslims

and Sikhs for few dollars or some other motives. It is in the interest of everyone to checkand stop them from misquoting Al-Quran, the Prophet and Caliphs of Islam.

Back to the question of miracles, Dr. Trilochan Singh rejects miracles and explains how

they were interpolated and who was originally responsible for this mischief. The 4th

ofthe ten Gurus, Guru Ram Das called such miracles a worldly attachment and an obstacle

    in the way to God.

If we read Guru Nanaks Banis, we find that he had condemned miracles. "There is nomiracle other than the word," he said. When Sidhas asked him how he had become a

spiritual Guru, he replied, I have no strength other than Bani Guru".He believed inQuran {Surah Ar-Rad 13:75}that none can perform a miracle except at Gods behest. In

fact, Guru Nanak attached no value to miracles, magics and mantras. He disagreed withthe Yogis measuring spirituality with miracles. In his opinion, the spiritual power was the

true index of a persons worth which comes from, in his own words, Bajhol yaad Khudade meaning the continuous remembrance of God.

Now, if Guru Nanak condemns miracles, how can you attribute miracles to him? I will

ask you my dear Sikh brothers and sisters to speak out against those who do it; they goagainst the teachings of Guru Nanak. Youneed to promote what Guru Nanak said, not

what others say about him. Even without his miracles, he is respected and revered by thepeople of the Indian sub-continent: Hindus, Muslim and Sikhs and that is the miracle

Guru Nanak was talking about in his Banis.

Let us, therefore, seek forgiveness for such story fabricators and promoters as some maybe doing out of ignorance. Last but not least I want to thank the translator, Inderjit Singh

Jhajj and a panel of renowned Sikh scholars of North America for sharing my concernsabout this article.
