Connect With Us

Besides email and our website, here are some other ways to connect with us!

Updates and Reminders

College Apps: Mr. Salladino has been creating FAQ documents over the past few months. Students: please check your email. Information on the process, including copies of the FAQ documents, SCOIR information, letter of recommendation info, a checklist and more can also be found on our website. The checklist explains specific steps that students must take in order to communicate their applications to the counseling department and request documents. Students are reminded to check their email daily (or weekly, at the very least!) for important announcements and notifications. SCOIR: This year, we will begin using SCOIR for all things college - students can research schools, look up requirements, etc., and counselors will be using SCOIR to send necessary application documents to colleges. We will no longer be using Naviance for these features. Note: Once you move a college to the "Applied" column on SCOIR, please allow 2 weeks for your documents to be processed. Be sure to be mindful of your deadlines.

PSATs: The PSAT is typically offered to all 10th and 11th grade students on the national testing date designated each year in October. Due to COVID-19 and the reality that many schools across the nation started with a virtual or hybrid schedule, the CollegeBoard has added a winter testing date of January 26, 2021. Thus, Garnet Valley will be holding the PSAT on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, and will not be offering the PSAT in October. More information regarding the PSAT and the schedule for the day will be sent out closer to the examination date. Please note that students testing in January will still be included for consideration in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Athletics: Interested in pursuing your sport in college: please be sure to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. There are specific requirements for Division I and II. Contact your counselor to make sure you’re on track.
