    AREAS O COOPERATIO!

    This is a Cooperati6e Preschool. "t is headed a )oard of Directors elected the parents and othermemers of the Corporation.

    The Board of Directors in turn elects the Executive Board who oversees the Preschool. TheBoard desires to be responsive to the needs and wishes of the parents. This is only possible when

    those needs and wishes are made known. Monthly Executive Board Meetings are open to all

    parents and are announced in the monthly newsletter.

    C+A22=991 PA=T"C"PAT"9 is one of the most important areas of cooperation in the Preschool.This feature sets a cooperati6e preschool apart from other preschools. "t pro6ides an opportunit toecome familiar 0ith the child:s peer group7 his;her dail class routine7 and to 0atch his;herde6elopment. Through participation ou ecome familiar 0ith techni>ues a professional teacheremplos 0hen 0or*ing 0ith this age group. Your das in the classroom also pro6ide opportunities toshare our ideas 0ith the teacher. Your talents7 ailities7 and interests are 6alued and can e used in the

    classroom. Parents and teacher 0or*ing together can profoundl influence a child:s life in helpinghim;her gro0 to e happ and successful. That is our goal.

At that time7 officers of the8ecuti6e )oard e8plain to the parents the Preschool:s goals and manner of functioning7 as 0ell as theresponsiilities of the parents. The teacher also tal*s to the parents aout classroom acti6ities andprocedures.

    A good safet program for our children is important to all of us. Please ma*e note of the follo0ing
