From the manager’s desk
Happy New Year!
As you all know, this past year has been packed with changes in the Gypsum Mills office. Why not start the new year with one more? I am pleased to announce that a new assistant has started in the office this past week. Nina Westra will be working along side me as Assistant Community Manager. Nina has a strong background in office management and customer service. I believe she will make a great addition to Gypsum Mills. I am excited to work with her and see what wonderful ideas she will have for the community. Please take some time to come up to the office and meet Nina! As for our previous assistant, Kasie West, she has moved on to a manager’s position of her own at another local Horizon owned community. We wish her the best of luck in her new position.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that dropped off goodies to the office for the holidays. I am continuously impressed with how many skilled bakers we have in our community. You are all truly amazing.
Toys for Tots was a big success this year! They picked up 2 full boxes of toys on December 14th. Thank you to everyone that took the time to donate.
A few reminders as we continue on with this winter season.
Please remember that there is NO parking on the Town roadways from November 1st- April 1st, unless otherwise posted. This is a strict rule that has come directly from the Victor Highway Department. They have the right to tow any vehicles parked on the roadways during these months. Please do not let that be your vehicle.
Outside Holiday Decorations: Everything has been festive and beautiful in Gypsum Mills, as it is every year! Please, don’t forget to remove decorations within 15 days after a holiday, weather permitting. If the weather is not cooperating wait to remove them, and please keep your lights off until you can remove them safely. Thank you to everyone that decorated the Community Center inside and outside, you all did a wonderful job!
Let’s make 2019 a great year!
Best, Autumn Lux

I have heard from a few people that they would like to have line dancing in the evening so beginning Janu-ary 3rd on Thursday nights from 7-8:30 pm, we will have beginner line dancing. I will be teaching easier beginner dances. I plan on going over the dances a couple times with different songs and repeating the same dances the following weeks but adding a new one. I hope you will join us and the main thing is to have fun.
I will still be teaching line dancing on Tuesday morn-ings from 9:30-11am. I will be teaching beginner and intermediate dances also during this time. This class will start January 8th.
I hope to see you at one of these classes or both. Bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable shoes.

PANERA BREAD
Well, as we all know, winter came in with a bang! From now on when there is snow on the ground or predicted over a Saturday night, and there is a party on the following Sunday, we will put the bread in the foyer/vestibule of the Community Center so you won’t have to go around the building to the Library. PLEASE remember to take only 1 sweet item per person as we don’t always get many of them and we need to share. You can still take 3 bread items as we always seem to have plenty of that!! Remember that the cameras are always on!! “Nough said!!!!
For sale TV Cabinet-Can be used on flat wall or corner.
