A division head, at least one senior counselor, and one or more Jr. counselors and C.I.T.’s will supervise all groups. Each group has be-tween 10-15 campers.
Campers in Middle and Upper Camp will be assigned groups based on their gender and the school grade they will be attending in Sep-tember 2019. Lower Camp groups will be designated based on the year the camper was born.
Lower Camp (going into Nursery, Pre-K, or Kindergarten) ages 3-5
Middle Camp (going into 1st through 4th grade) ages 5-9
Upper Camp (going into 5th grade and up)
Ages 9-14
Staff
Our ratio of camper to staff is approximately 3:1. We are very fortunate that we have been averaging over 100 returning staff each of the last fourteen summers.
Age 14 – Super Senior or Volunteer C.I.T.
Age 15—C.I.T. (Counselor in Training)
Age 16– Junior Counselor
Age 17– Counselor
Age 18 and up – Senior Counselor
Tipping
While tipping is voluntary, please understand the counselors depend, to a large extent, on the generosity and appreciation of the par-ents in order to supplement their salaries.
Facilities
Located on the grounds of the beautiful Silver Point Beach Club, the day camp
boasts a spacious air-conditioned cam-phouse, two beautiful swimming pools, two air-conditioned arts & crafts rooms, a huge ballfield, three full court basketball courts,
two ga-ga courts, tennis courts, a drama/music shed, and a large separate
area for Lower Camp (playground, indoor air-conditioned story time room, and four
tented areas).
Parent Orientation
There will be a Parent Orientation on Sun-day, June 28th 2020 in the camphouse. Dur-ing this time, you will be able to meet the camp directors, division heads, and senior counselors. Your child will also be welcomed to attend and he/she will have a chance to spend a few minutes with the senior coun-selor of his/her group.
On that day you will be able to pick up your child’s schedule, t-shirts, and hat.
Swimming
All Lower Camp campers will begin the sum-mer swimming in the kiddie pool. All Middle and Upper Camp campers will swim in the big pool. All campers will be tested during the first week of camp by a Water Safety Instructor. Beginning the second week of camp, campers born in 2015 will have the opportunity to transfer into the big pool if they pass the WSI’s test and has parental permission to do so.
Guests
$50 a day. Guests are only accepted on an occasional basis. Please speak to Rob for more details.
