H Michael Lord Résumé Synopsis

Objectives [email protected] Mr. Lord has spent the last decade honing his skills as a full Microsoft Stack architect and developer. He is seeking a long term contract position that allows him to continue his architectural and development pursuits. He has been in senior management, but he far prefers to be closer to the technology; particularly staying current with newer technologies and evaluating when and where they should be used. It’s the pursuit of this passion that caused him to leave CBM Archives Co, LLC that he’d been with for over a decade. If he accepts a contract, he stays at the contract for the entire term and doesn’t leave just because a better (higher paying) opportunity comes along! He will rent a residence local to the client’s office so he can be onsite throughout the contract period.

Brief Background with Microsoft’s Products Mr. Lord started programming with Visual Studio 2002 Beta in the fall of 2001 and has worked with every Microsoft release since. He has written hundreds, if not thousands, of WinForms (desktop), Windows Services, Console, WPF, WBA/XBAP, Click-Once applications. He has been doing Web development using ASP.NET, MVC and Silverlight for over five years. He is experienced with JQuery and AJAX, and has worked with a few other libraries too. He has written numerous applications using Web Services and WCF & SOA; and has implement SOAP, REST and JSON. A couple of his latest projects used HTML5. Earlier this year he was asked to develop two C++ applications: 1) C++ MFC ActiveX plugin, and 2) C++ MFC application using namespace System::Windows::Forms to create a CLR Form containing Windows Controls. He has around two years of experience with Workflow Foundation (WF) 4.0. He is experienced with various design patterns like MVC, MVP and MVVM; also SDLC. The differences largely revolve around where Interfaces are used, types of Dependency Injection and how control flows. Mr. Lord has been using Team Foundation Server (TFS) for the last two years. For years he’s followed the principles of frequently delivering software that allows for changing requirements in order to increase customer satisfaction. He’s been on a couple of Agile/SCRUM projects. In the spirit of full disclosure, these SCRUM project teams were trying to figure out how to use the methodology effectively. It’s a learning process. . . . He’s yet to be on a mature SCRUM team. Mr. Lord has decades of Unit, System and Integration Testing experience, but most of this was using other methods than Microsoft’s Test Projects. He does have experience with Inversion of Control (IoC) and using Interfaces where some of the implementations are mocked classes. He uses Constructor, Setter and Interface injection; and has used Service Locator(s) with Unity 4.1. He often extends base-classes through inheritance to provide added functionality; and uses polymorphism when he overrides inherited methods. He is expert with using reflection to dissect classes and assemblies. He uses Early and Late Binding of assemblies. He started programming multi-threaded applications in 1987 and extensively uses multi-threading since 2002 (.NET). He started his career writing communications/ networking software and has written a lot of TCP/IP sockets. Mr. Lord started working with SQL Server 6.5 in 1997 and has worked with every Microsoft release since. He is very skilled at troubleshooting and tuning SQL Server. He is accustomed to using Execution Plans, DMVs, T-SQL, SQL Management Studio, Extended Events, SQL Profiler and et cetera. He is familiar

with the MDF B+Tree indexing and page structure, and LDF (Transaction Log) Virtual Log File (VLF) structure. He has experience with OLTP, OLAP (SSAS), SSRS and SSIS (ETL). He has experience with other ETL methods (e.g., DTS, T-SQL and code) too. Mr. Lord has worked with Dynamics CRM on-and-off for around two years. Initially he piloted CRM 4.0 and two years later spent the better part of a year implementing, configuring and customizing CRM 2011. Early 2013 he upgraded a test instance of CRM 2011 to CRM 2013 and ensured all the custom code for CRM 2011 still worked. Some of his customizations were using the product to add/remove fields from Forms and Reports; and there were integration programs written that accessed the database tables directly. Mr. Lord has worked with SharePoint for around two years. SharePoint is really an Electronic Content Management (ECM) system, which very simply stated indexes content (e.g., words within a document). Electronic Document Management (EDM) simply stated indexes fields (e.g., Invoice Number, Customer Number and et cetera) versus content. A simply example of why this matters: assume you have an Invoice number 12 . . . how many times might 12 be found in the content of documents (e.g., within a date, page number or et cetera)? EDM points directly to the one Invoice number 12 document only.

CodeReview for Select Healthcare Services 3/2014 – Present CodeReview is a product that is used by Workman’s Compensation Insurance auditors. The applications was originally written in VB6 using Access/Excel and Mr. Lord is rewriting the application in VS2013 using SQL. He is nearly complete with this project and if offered a position he’ll finish this project off at nights. Menlo Fields, LLC 3/2014 Mr. Lord provided consulting on their SFax project. He performed a Gap Analysis and code reviews. CCS 2/2014 – 3/2014 CCS needed a C++ plug-in to be developed that would allow access to a browser’s MAC Address and have the capability of scanning and passing the data back to the Server. Mr. Lord wrote two variations of this requirement. One was a simple browser ActiveX plug-in and the other was a Click-Once fully-trusted Windows Service that allowed .NET programmers to easily extend the capabilities of the code. http://www.WilyWare.com/ 1/2014 – 3/2014 Mr. Lord developed this site with ASP.NET using C# and deployed it to Azure (Cloud). There was a site publish in early 2013, but was completely redone earlier this year. http://www.cac.ac/ 3/2014 Mr. Lord developed this site with ASP.NET using C# and deployed it to Azure (Cloud). He only spent two days on this project. http://www.CarryAndClean.com/ 7/2012 – 11/2012 Mr. Lord developed this site with ASP.NET using C# and deployed it to Azure (Cloud). The entire business is run from this site (e.g., Administrative tasks, Customer orders, payments, government reporting, records retention, training and et cetera). The website is also two-way integrated with QuickBooks which has the company’s financials. CBM Archives Co., LLC Corpus Christi, TX 12/2002 – 4/2013

President & COO CBM Archives Co., LLC is a Microsoft Partner and specialized in System Integration. The integration emphasis specializes in the art of making diverse/disparate system exchange information. The company also provides custom ECM/EDM solutions. An aspect of the archival of data is dealing with NIST compliant EFT files, which contain Biometric information. The company maintained a staff of around twenty and surged to nearly thirty as projects necessitated. Most of the staff were programmers and support personnel. Even though Mr. Lord was President, he spent most of his time being the senior technical person on staff. He was Chief Architect responsible for all designs and ultimately all development and project deliverables. He was very hands-on and developed many projects alone and assisted with most others. If no one else on the staff could figure out a problem, it always landed on Mr. Lord’s desk to solve . . . and he always did!

The company’s customer were generally large State Agencies. For example they did $40 million worth of business with Texas DP alone. He is accustom to working on very large enterprise systems that require high-availability (through clustering), scalability (through server farms) and tuned for high TPS throughput governed by SLAs. Many of these environments have large data warehouses. Mr. Lord has worked on too many projects to site them all, so he picked ones that showed his diversity.

Biometric Kiosk 1/2013 – 4/2013 Mr. Lord architected the solution and wrote the Cloud Server components in C#. He also wrote the prototype client-side code. He and another developer wrote the Kiosk client-side code. Basically this standalone system uses WiFi to connect to the Internet and allows for any number of combination of devices (e.g., Fingerprint Scanners, Printers, Card Readers, Signature Pads, multi-media support capabilities and et cetera) to be used with a dual-monitor touchscreen system. http://www.bizjournals.com/prnewswire/press_releases/2014/01/20/PH48496 http://www.Elevatech.net/ 10/2011 – 4/2013 The site is no longer active once he left CBM Archives Co., LLC . . . because they had no one to maintain it. The SaaS product was called ServiceConnect. It was developed with MVC and ASP.NET using C# and deployed to Azure. He was the Chief Architect, developed all the API’s, wrote much of the backend business logic, and built the IoC injection model that was used with Microsoft Unity. He wrote the billing system and the Credit Card payment processing systems too. He also was involved with writing some of the spatial mapping routines. This project lasted 1½ years. He had a team of five. http://www.msptoday.com/topics/msp-today/articles/328404-elevatech-launches-serviceconnect-cloud-based-field-service-management.htm Dynamics CRM 1/2012 – 12/2012 Actually CBM Archives Co., LLC wanted CRM 4.0 and several months of effort was spent by Mr. Lord involved with setting up the system and configuring it. It was finally scrapped for a number of reasons. For nearly the entire year of 2012 Dynamics CRM 2011 was brought up in test environments trying different configurations until finally one was chosen. Mr. Lord performed all this work. He then went to work customizing the system to meet the company’s needs. He wrote integration programs to bidirectionally pass data between CRM and QuickBooks. Some of the integrations points were used by ServiceConnect. Mr. Lord not only administered the CRM system, but developed custom reporting (SSRS) and customizing within the CRM framework too. Things like modifying forms to add/remove fields. Right before he sold his interest in the company, he upgraded a test instance of CRM 2011 to 2013 and ensured all his code worked. He has worked with CRM on-and-off again for nearly two years. Sapphire Project 6/2010 – 10/2011 CBM Archives Co., LLC did a lot of work in the Electronic Document Management (EDM) space . . . thus the Archives part of the name. The Sapphire Project extended SharePoint’s Electronic Content Management (ECM) capabilities to include extra security and field indexing. Mr. Lord provided all the architectural design, wrote most of the interfaces. He extended SharePoint at the database level. This project took around 1½ years.

Store And Forward 3.0 for Texas DPS 11/2010 – 10/2011 Within the Law Enforcement community there is identification information flowing between Local, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. These come in the form of NIST EFT Transactions. These transaction must conform to the ISO/NIST standard. Examples of transaction types are a simple background check or a more complex query looking for anyone matching some search criteria (e.g., fingerprint – whole or partial, or DNA). This was a million dollar project. In 2004 Mr. Lord wrote the 2.0 version. That system was built on MSMQ messaging, whereas the 3.0 version is more analogous to an SSIS ETL strategy and uses WF 4.0. Mr. Lord architected this system and over the course of a year wrote the routing engine based on WF 4.0 and WCF using VB.NET. He wrote nearly 600,000 lines of code. He built a graphical interface (GUI) that allowed for various workflow (transaction) types to graphically be configured by dragging items from the Toolbox to the design surface. The routing rules were very complex and elaborate . . . even though their configuration through the GUI was easy. Transactions could be send serially, in parallel or in any combination. One of the workflow (transaction) types was called Mobile ID (a two-finger lookup). Mr. Lord worked with Houston PD and Cogent on this project. Basically a police officer would perform a two-finger scan and the query would be routed through to the FBI and back within 20 seconds or less. This system required high-availability and scalability. He used two clustered SQL Server databases, which those two clustered systems were in turn clustered. All the components within the Store And Forward system could be run on multiple server . . . thus scaling as large as needed through a farm. Mr. Lord also architected the monitoring GUI (GAMS) which was written in Silverlight. He developed some of the Silverlight code that dealt with the graphically display of the workflows. There was another developer who focused on this application. Mr. Lord also designed the data warehouse (SSAS) using a 19-dimensional snowflake architecture. He build the prototype and had another developer do whatever was necessary to make it production ready. http://www.wilyware.com/developers/mikeLord/sampleCode/nistSnF/index.aspx IP Fusion, Inc Hondo, TX 2/2002 – 12/2002

Executive Vice President & CTO IP Fusion, Inc provided convergent services (e.g., Telephony & Video Surveillance) to various small to mid-sized businesses. IP Fusion was a startup company. When the initial funding ran out, we tried to raise Venture Capital (VC) money. We were able to secure $100 million for CapEx, but were not able to obtain the $4 million OpEx needed to operate . . . thus in December the decision was made by Mr. Lord to pursue other opportunities.

VoIP Architecture 2/2002 – 8/2002 Mr. Lord architected the VoIP system. He chose to use a Broadcom Class-5 SoftSwitch at the hub, using Cisco edge routers. He forged a partnering agreement with a Dallas-based network provider to route its traffic through their backbone. Their used a MPLS network scheme.

Video Surveillance 10/2002 – 12/2002 Mr. Lord architected a video surveillance system. He has a patent application covering his methods. The essence of the system is to allow video streams from the camera to be sent to a host and allow those videos to be viewed from anywhere. The idea was to put cameras in daycare centers and allow parents to view their children throughout the day. There are many application s for this type of system. Evercom Systems, Inc Irving, TX 8/1999 – 1/2002

Chief Technology Officer Evercom System, Inc is a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) that provides telephone systems to correctional (inmate) facilities. Mr. Lord had a staff of forty and a $4 million operating budget. He was responsible for over 2,000 network circuits (e.g., provisioning/deprovisioning and support), all the network equipment (e.g., routers, DACS, modem racks and PBX). He filed two patent applications: 1) software, and 2) hardware/software. He was strongly encouraged to go back to school for his MBA!

CABS Billing 1/2001 – 6/2001 Mr. Lord with two other developers built a CABS Billing purely with T-SQL. Started with SQL Server 7.0 and upgraded to SQL 2000. The Web access and reporting was developed with Visual Studio 2002 Beta. This system generated $17 billion per month. . . . The Call Center was integrated through the Web too. Great Plains eEnterprise Solutions 9/1999 – 12/1999 Mr. Lord installed the accounting software and provided training, configuration and customization assistance. Once up and running, he turned the responsibility of ongoing to support to his staff. Excel Communications, Inc Dallas, TX 3/1996 – 8/1999

Executive Director of Strategic Architecture Excel Communications, Inc was a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) that provided telephone service through multi-level marketing (MLM). The company raised $2 billion at its IPO on 6/1997 (i.e., 1⅓ years after Mr. Lord joined). Mr. Lord had a staff of fifty and a $4 million operating budget. He architected, deployed and was responsible for a data center of over 400 Servers. There were a combination of Windows, HP-UX, IBM AIX and Sun Solaris servers. Mr. Lord was Microsoft and Sun Solaris certified. Excel Communications had a 5,500-person Call Center. There were only 25 DOS processing desktop computers (analogous to servers) when he started with Excel Communications. This level of responsibility encompasses a lot of things (e.g., Capacity Planning, Disaster/Continuance Planning, software volume licensing and et cetera). M’AGE Leonard, TX 1/1994 – 3/1996

Owner Mr. Lord Built PCs and wrote software for customers.

Susan Crane, Inc Dallas, TX 7/1988 – 5/1995

Directory of MIS Susan Crane was a manufacturing company that produced printed paper and a sundry furniture accessories. Mr. Lord managed a staff of three and was the only programmer. Pro Access Tulsa, OK 10/1987 – 7/1988

Self-employed Contractor Mr. Lord wrote software for customers and installed software for a variety of customers (e.g., Wesche Company, Sakowitz Furniture Store and Oklahoma State VOTECH). !Factorial Systems Austin, TX 7/1986 – 9/1987

Communications Manager !Factorial Systems produces shop-floor (Paperless) manufacturing software. Up until the last couple of months Mr. Lord was the implementation manager responsible for 20 developer/installer. He spent six months writing a sophisticated multi-threaded TAL application that extracted data from TELEX’s mainframe and the manufacturing software used it. He was travelling on the road 90+% of the time. After this became too much, he was tasked with building a graphical user interface (GUI), written in Pascal and TAL, that eased the interactions with the manufacturing software. Schlumberger Well Services Austin, TX 7/1982 – 7/1986

Manufacturing (Electrical) Engineer Schlumberger Well Services is one of the top two wireline companies in the world. They were doing $7 billion cashflow a day. Mr. Lord wrote some software the Schlumberger wanted and bought him out. There was no cash transacted . . . instead they allows him a few months to shut his company down and come to work for them and they’d allow him to finish his Bachelor’s degree during working hours. Up until 6/1985 he primarily maintained the system he wrote and was given the opportunity to write a Project Management system using Ingress SQL Server. He also had the opportunity to write some drivers in C. After 6/1985 (i.e., upon completing his Bachelor’s degree) he was moved to Manufacturing and was in charge of assembling several of the computer components that went into their Service Trucks. He was also responsible for all the Field Log Interpretation Center (FLIC) software worldwide; which included responsibility for over 6,000 MicroVAXes. While there he developed a system to scan engineering (CAD) drawings, annotate them and print them out on a high resolution printer for $30K. By using his system MEs/MEEs could react to Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) up to three weeks faster than the CAD Department could deliver them to the assembly floor. Granted the CAD Department still had to do their work, but each ME/MEE didn’t have to wait on them. Lord Computer Consulting Co. Corpus Christi, TX 4/1977 – 7/1982

Owner Mr. Lord wrote software for customers and installed software for a variety of customers. Clients ranged from Hospitals, Doctors Offices, CPAs, Manufacturers, Retail Stores, Attorneys, Lithographic Printers, Construction companies, a Chicken Hatchery, Texas Department of Transportation & Agriculture agencies and et cetera). Mr. Lord wrote a distribution system that ultimately Schlumberger Well Services wanted badly . . . badly enough to pay me to finish my Bachelor’s degree.

• Spoke at a large conference on RAID technologies • He wrote a complex multi-threaded application that interfaced Telex’s mainframe system with a

Tandem-based shop-floor control system, that included integration with automated pickers and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)

• He developed a system for Schlumberger Well Services to scan CAD drawings, allowed annotations and printout high resolution D and E sized Plots. He built the hardware and wrote the software for $30K and saved three weeks on getting ECN changes to the assembly floor faster than the CAD department. CAD still had to do the official drawings, but with his system manufacturing could react to changes three weeks earlier than before

• Wrote numerous Communication Software drivers/systems • Wrote a distribution system that Schlumberger Well Services wanted so bad they bought out his

company

Skills Assessment Mr. Lord has hired a lot of developers over the years and unfortunately many of them exaggerated their skill-levels. He’s not going to do this! Using this scale a solid senior developer should be averaging a rating of 3.

1. Not very familiar: probably only used once 2. Somewhat familiar: probably only used a few times 3. Familiar: used numerous times and comfortable with some Class Members, but not with all

Class Members 4. Very familiar: used numerous times and comfortable with most all Class Members 5. Used virtually all Members and probably have used Reflector to analyze the base Class(-es)

Obviously a rating for an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)’s familiarity isn’t based on knowledge of Classes, but on Feature/Functionality.

References Jerry D. Sanders Jr, President CBM Archives Co, LLC (361) 241-2310 Ext. 101 Email: [email protected] “I have worked on a number of projects with Mike Lord and his technical team. I have always found their development expertise to be of the highest level. Mike in particular has a knowledge of the .NET framework allows him to turn-out code at an extremely rapid pace. Further, it allows him to produce solutions and algorithms that might otherwise be unattainable by a less experienced developer. As a team lead he is able to push his personnel to perform as a unit and produce exciting products (from a geek perspective) in a relatively short amount of time. If you’re need is highly advanced developers with experience in product architecture and design combined with an in-depth understanding of .NET (VB, C#), SQL, and Silverlight/HTML5 – then WilyWare is a company you should consider.”

Jared Sperling, Sr. Microsoft Developer Adept Consulting Services (717) 743-1253 Email: [email protected] “Mike Lord is not a traditional programmer... he is an Artist!! His code is a work of art, being elegant, efficient and beautifully crafted!! I have known him for 10 years, worked on numerous projects with him and it always astounds me at what he can make happen with just a few lines of code. Mike is a perfectionist in the best sense of the word, because he is not satisfied unless he completes a project early, under budget and exceeds the expectations of the customer!! I would recommend Mike's services to anyone who is looking for excellent, efficient, reliable, & trustworthy programs or services.”

Felix Fuentes Jr, Sr. Software Architect Cigna-HealthSpring (615) 565-8100 Ext. 502527 Email: [email protected] “I had the pleasure of first working for Mike Lord from 2003 - 2007 at CBM Archives in Corpus Christi Texas. Not only was Mike the COO of CBM he also served as chief architect, developer, tester, dba, network administrator and mentor to the entire team. In my 12 years as a developer Mike is by far the most talented developer I have worked under. Not only did he set high standards for our team he took the time to sit with each of us and share his knowledge. The trait I admire most about Mike is his ability to articulate his thoughts on any given subject and give a very detailed overview of them. Mike’s technical ability is unparalleled and his resume speaks for itself. As a developer I feel very privileged to have been mentored by Mike early on in my career and to this day still use a lot of what he taught me. If your team or project is looking for a “hit the ground running” type of developer Mike is definitely your guy plus much more.”

Raghavendra (Raghu) P. Desiraju, Software Development Architect Fiserv Output Solutions (281) 240-3636 Email: [email protected] “I had the privilege of closely working with Mike Lord in Compuprovider Inc. DBA CBM Archives for over 3 and half years and in short Mike is one of the brilliant Minds I worked with. Mike’s technical and soft skills are exceptional and is an innovative person who comes up with out of the box ideas and has clear vision of how product life cycle has to be laid out. He also has exceptional leadership skills are illustrated by running various organizations, the number of people he managed over the years and has been inspiring influence to become better technically and personally. Mike’s proficient technical skills are very diverse and includes but not limited to .NET, SQL Server, C, C++, low level programming like Driver Programming, Java, SharePoint, MSMQ, Clustering etc. Mike is also proficient in hardware and networking areas and was involved in directing the team in making products highly available, fault tolerant and redundant. He has exceptional knowledge of storage devices like SAN, RAID etc. He can accomplish any complex technical and non-technical challenges with ease. Mike always encourages talent, diversity and new ideas. Mike also has clear vision of product has to be marketed and what end users or customers want to see. Customers like Mike for the efficient solutions that he offers them. As an individual Mike is very respectful to everyone around him. There are very few like Mike and any organization can benefit doing business or work with Mike.”

Krishna Boddugari, IT Analyst John Deere — AND — Sr. Software Developer & Co-founder Altamont Technologies LLC (559) 521-5478 Email: : [email protected] “I have had an opportunity to work for Mike as a software developer for two years from 2006 to 2008. I was fortunate enough to have spent those two years under Mike's leadership. I am writing this to commend Mike on his leadership and technical skills. Mike is one of the best leaders I have come across in my 13 years of career in the software industry. He puts his customers first but at the same time was able to take care of his team of employees which always is a great balancing act in the industry where customer satisfaction is paramount and the employee burn rate is the highest. On the technical side Mike is very knowledgeable and has been a mentor to all of the people that worked under him. I have come across many good leaders in this industry but Mike stands out among all with his thorough and up to date knowledge about the technologies he is dealing with. The things I have learned from Mike during those two years still help me and have a tremendous impact on where I am now.”

Dharmishtha (Dhani) Patel, Senior Software Engineer RelayHealth | McKesson (510) 654-6373 Email: [email protected] “Mike is a person of high personal integrity who displays an infectious enthusiasm for his job. He is also a hardworking self-starter who understands the concept of working as a part of a team. Mike is exceptionally creative and analytically strong, and that makes him stands out from his peers. These qualities most notably translate in his ability to motivate a team to care about its project and be invested in the project’s success. In addition to his superior analytical skills, Mike frequently went out of his way to help members of his team and contributed to the overall success of the projects. His ability to get along with people from diverse backgrounds is exceptional and resulted in the growth of existing accounts as well as the steady development of a portfolio of new clients. Though he’s never one to draw attention to himself, Mike’s positive attitude and the respect others feel toward him are palpable.”

Final Comments Mr. Lord is very technical and over his forty (40) years has done a lot of things! He has written thousands of programs for hundreds of clients. Too many to elucidate on a resume. Actually he finds it generally works against him when he lists too many things. Many times people reviewing resumes aren’t technical enough and don’t know how to determine if he can do a job or not, and usually summarily dismisses him. More is not always better. . . . Mr. Lord sometimes gets summarily dismissed because there is a fear he’ll demand more money than they have budgeted. Mr. Lord has an MBA and owned/owns a number of companies. He clearly understands budgets. If a company is looking for someone with seven (7) years of experience, the salary will be commensurate with that level of experience. Mr. Lord completely understands this, but believes that if customers truly grasp this concept . . . they can have a VERY senior developer that fits within their budget. Why not have more . . . if it does not cost you more? You may be asking yourself . . . WHY is he willing to settle for less . . . surely he’s capable of making more money doing other things? The reason is simple, he has ten (10+) years left of working and he’s at an age where his home is paid for and except for utilities has no bills, kids are raised (and have their own kids) and he wants to spend his remaining years working on what he truly enjoys . . . architecting/designing/programing!

Some of Mr. Lord’s More Notable Sayings • On-time, On-budget and With Quality!

• Ownership means treating every obstacle as if you don’t solve it . . . who will? …Staff needs to own

their tasks!

• Saying I’ll try means you’ll likely fail because you’ve opened up failure as an acceptable outcome in

your mind!

• There is NOTHING more important than Communications

o I really dislike bad news, but I’d rather know about it ASAP so I can determine how to deal with it versus being

blindsided later!

• Omission is just another form of lying

• No one is smart enough to not benefit from being a team player

• Just because Technology allows you to do something . . . doesn’t mean you should!

• The days of developing a product to a hard set of requirements is long gone in lieu of shorter

development cycles that can react to customers specifically and the market more generally
