I walked a little and saw a brown , fat, furious and funny bear. I saw a fight between a cat and a dog, they were very brave, they were fighting because of food. A bird flew by sky with the nice feather blue, yellow and red.

Suddenly I listened a shout, and I saw a girl afraid of a mouse; she was very nervous and ran. I walked very fast; I want to arrive in my house soon. Then I began to run and when I arrived at home I went to sleep.

The History Teacher

Sônia, the History Teacher, is a funny woman. The pupils like her. She is teaching them about the discovery of Brazil now. Everybody is laughing at her. She is wearing a blue shoe and a red shoe. She was very sleepy this morning when she left home.

Yesterday Sônia’s class was about the Discovery of Brazil. Ítalo was interested in the class. History is Ítalo’s favourite subject. There was a map of the world in the classroom. Her class started at 9:00.

Sônia said that in March, 1500, a group of Portuguese commanded by Cabral left Portugal. They wanted to discover new lands.

They travelled on thirteen ships. It was a long journey.

Sônia also said that in April, 1500, the Portuguese arrived in Brazil, in the state of Bahia. They saw a mountain in the distance and

called it Monte Pascal. Cabral was the discoverer of Brazil. There were a lot of Indians in Brazil in 1500. At 9:50 the class ended. It was an interesting class, but the pupils were anxious for the break.
