EAT206 Hairdryer Styling Exercise

In this exercise you will explore the power of the Lofted Boss/Base command further to make the outer geometry

similar to the hairdryer show below.

Step 1:

Create geometry for the main body as shown. You will require three sketches in total. Please note all sizes can be

approximate, and feel free to exercise your creative flair!

Step 2:

Create a lofted Boss/Base

Circle diameter 60mm

Circle diameter 75mm

Circle diameter 50mm

Model Origin

Plane 1 is offset 80mm from origin.

Plane 2 is offset 110mm from origin.

Step 3:

Create geometry for the handle as shown. You will need to create a sketch for the centre curve, then a plane and

sketch on each end.

Step 4:

Create a lofted Boss/Base, use the centre curve to control the form:

Add fillets as shown to the positions below.
