& 10k RUNHALF MARATHON

Under UKA rules

Dear RunnerCongratulations on your entry into the Love Luton Half Marathon or 10k Run, we hope your training is going well and we look forward to seeing you on the day.

The pandemic has impacted on us all and we are delighted to welcome you to the 8th half marathon and 10k.

We have put a number of additional measures in place to keep the runners, our staff and volunteers safe and comfortable. We therefore encourage you to read the runners notes in detail and follow the guidance on the day.

Runners packs are to be picked up on the morning of the race. Your runner number, chip timing and finishers t-shirt will be issued at the registration desk.

The following pages should provide you with all the information you need for a safe and enjoyable run.

If you are unsure on any points please [email protected] our latest event news and updates will also appear on our Facebook and Twitter accounts! We encourage you to tag us into your updates!

On behalf of Love Luton and all our partners – good luck!

Please remember the clocks go back an hour on Sunday 31st October.

Your official race number and chip timing will be picked up on race day.

We ask all runners to be considerate when queuing for their race number and chip timing. There is plenty of space for people to queue safely and at a distance. Please do respect others. Marshals will guide and assist with any concerns.

Your number is personal to you and must not be used by another competitor without the prior consent of the race organisers. Secure your number to the front of your running vest with four pins (one in each corner), and ensure that it is clearly visible.

The race chip should be secured following the instructions that come with the chip. On race day if you do not wear your chip you will not be registered with an official finish time.

As part of our COVID secure measures, there is no chip timing marquee at the finish line. This will be live on the website.

The results of the race will also be emailed to you.

Half Marathon and 10k t-shirts will be issued at the start of the race as part of your registration. This is to reduce the queues at the finish line.

Runners are encouraged to wear their t-shirt, but if not, you can put in the baggage area.

Race Number & Chip Timing

The race and START LINE is located atStockwood Park Athletics Track, Farley Hill, Luton LU1 4BH

There are four designated car parks for runners. There is the Stockwood Discovery Centre car park which is accessed via London Road or one of three car parks within Stockwood Park, which are accessed via Farley Hill.

If you need to leave promptly after the race you are advised to park at the Discovery Centre car park on London Road. Please follow marshals instructions at all the car parks.

PLEASE NOTE: There is only limited spaces in the car park opposite the play area. Please ensure you follow the marshals instructions so you aren’t blocking the course.

When you arrive at the car parks, marshals will direct you. You can access car parks from 7am. Allow yourself sufficient travel time as we do not want to see anyone wasting their training by missing the start.

Road closures start to go in and London Road and Farley Hill Car Parks will close for access at 8:30am.

Changing rooms, toilets and showers will be provided at Stockwood Athletics Centre and additional toilets will be available outside.
