STOP POLLUTION!!TOSAVE LIFE &SAVE EARTH

What is Water pollution Any chemical, physical, biological change in quality of water.

That makes water unfit to use required.

How you know there are pollution

Color change

Change the taste

Appearance of corpuscle odors in water

Turbidity

Pollution in kuwait Anjfa beach

SOURCE OF WATER POLLUTIONSewage

Chemical wastes

Radioactive waste Plastic

Thermal pollution why use treatment in Kuwait ?Kuwait is part of a large regional desert situated at low altitude.

Average diurnal temperature is 33C, but drops as low as -3C in January. Maximum temperature is 52C.

Yearly rainfall is between 25 mm and 175 mm. Winter also brings fierce dust storms.

The harsh climate and the rapid growth of demand on fresh water resources due to increasing urbanization and agricultural projects.

Population increase results in growing volumes of municipal wastewater. What is treatment ? & Aim of treatment ?Treatment is used to make water more acceptable for a desired end-use. 1-remove contaminants in the water

2- reduce the concentration of contaminants

returning water that has been used back into the natural environment without adverse ecological impact. Treatment Solves two problems :

1-Environmental Pollution2-Water Resource Deficit

Sewage treatment Primary treatment, which is based on physical operations such as screening, de-gritting and odour control.

Secondary treatment, which is biological treatment using activated sludge and performed in bioreactors (aeration tanks) and classifiers.

Tertiary treatment, which applies physical and chemical operations such as filtration and chlorination.

Sludge treatment, which applies physical and biological treatment operations such as thickeners and digesters (aerobic).

re-use of wastewater after treatment in the following areas:-

1- Agricultural uses.2-Reuse in the new land reclamation 3-Use in fish farms. 4-Use in other activities such as planting trees, wooden.

Policies, laws and regulation

(ARTICLE 58)Ambient seawater quality must be preserved according to specifications listed in Appendix (12) of this regulation.

(ARTICLE 59) Liquid-Effluent discharge into the marine environment should not exceed levels listed in Appendix (13) of this regulation. In any case, it is not allowed to discharge treated liquid waste in the marine environment except at a distance no less than 500 meters from the coast. Liquid effluent should not be discharged in fishing areas, swimming areas and natural sanctuaries.(ARTICLE 61)Treated liquid wastewater must not exceed limits allowed listed in Appendix (15) of this regulation when used for irrigation.

Conclusion Suggestion :

Kuwait Fire Service Directorate

Ministry education When you penetrate the closed system of wastewater for some factories, to get rid of waste, so i suggest to put warning system warns about the entry of harmful materials causing imbalance in the water recycling system and determine the factorie

The use of treated water for the work of lakes , waterfalls and water fountain. Air refresh and maintain the shape of the aesthetic of the place.

Use of treated wastewater for recreational facilities that use a large amount of water.Use of treated wastewater to generate electricity (alternative energy ).

Outlook If per capita consumption continues in Kuwait 500 liter of water per today ,will be exposed to the problem of a lack of Kuwait water resources so will be use Quartet stage (for personal uses)

In the case of the production of large quantities of sewage treatment and do not use them , the state is forced to spilled in the Gulf waters, which affects the salinity of the waters of the Gulf and may cause the migration of some fish from Kuwait Bay
