I. Interactive training in the teaching of FLT for special purposes
The training in a foreign language for special purposes aims at the developing
the communicative competence of students in a particular professional area. With
this they acquire knowledge of terminology and specificity of expression in
specialized texts and get also productive skills for the future professional
communication. It is assumed that specialized languages exist since it started the
division of labor force. The first users of specialized vocabulary were craftsmen using
proprietary designations of working tools and processes. The specialized language
has contributed to the formation of relatively closed communities (guilds, german
Zunft) with its internal rules and customs. As the technical revolution and the growing
number of professions specialized languages enter the wider use - by means of
communication between individual specialists within their profession language
becomes a means of communication between professionals and between them and
non-specialists.
The achieved degree of specialization reflects the linguistic form of specialized
text. The higher specialization requires a higher share of the terms and vice versa.
Specialization in turn is determined by the communicative intentions and by the
addressee. In a wide range of recipients there can be expected a low degree of
specialization (eg. advertising texts); addressed at a high level of specialization texts
are inaccessible to non-specialists. Specialized training in foreign language builds on
the already established communicative competence of students in the general
linguistic use of this language. While taking into account their knowledge in the
specialty that contribute to a better understanding of the terminology in specialized
texts. This provides the prerequisites for a realistic recreation of professional
communication in the learning environment.
5 Handbook to Business Deutsch (Business German) - Faber 2016
The traditional training is based on the idea that knowledge is something that
can be trandfered directly from the teacher to the students. For this purpose it was
digested some information, which is necessary for successful performance of the test;
to identify and to solve problems in a structured and static environment. The
dynamic aspect prevails in the concept of interactive learning where the interaction
takes place between people in the process of communicating, their use interactive
teaching methods. There are several areas in which e-learning can usefully
supplement and build on traditional language teaching:
Searching for information on a specific topic on the Internet and its
subsequent processing: through this activity is to develop skills and to
enable global selective reading and also the ability to write.
Publishing your own text and images on the Internet. Modern technical
equipment allows complex presentation of opinions, ideas, views through
participation in social or professional networks. The presentation skills are
associated largely with media skills trainees1.
Simulations using the Internet, it is possible that an activity can be divided
into smaller elements and the same can be replicated in the global
information network. In this case, the challenge is to the organize the
simulation. In this case its needed to ensure a clear structure simulation,
very precise instructions for participants and to provide any possible
interference in the execution of simulation as inaccurate understanding of
the participants in the simulation, time delay and other technical problems.
The Figure 1 presents a typical semester task for independent work "Search of
information on Germany." The students have to find specific data - mainly on the
Internet - and to summarize the results in a text file.

The displayed task above fully consistent with the situation of the practice
whereby seek information about potential business partners in order to establish
initial contact. Here develop both the skills of reading comprehension (German
Leseverstehen), to extract information from large specialized texts (annual reports,
corporate websites, etc.) and writing (German Schreiben) when presenting the
outcome of the investigation. Depending on the particular assignment study may
take the form of individual work or as a team.
The flow of communication using German as a foreign language is influenced
by whether communicators are native speakers (German Muttersprachler) or for the
German stranger. Figure 2 presents a model of intercultural business communication.

Kx is a communicator from outside the German-speaking world, Kde concerns
communicator from Germany. Participants from country X, studying German as a
foreign language, and from Germany (DE) - native speakers are in the economic
situation or the situation relating to the economy. They deal with certain economic
issues. They have partly overlapping knowledge of the world and knowledge
economy. The communicator of country X had sufficient command of the German
language so that communication is feasible.
In accordance with best practices in language learning functioning learning
environment for specialized foreign language must be aimed at a broad profile of
activities through which students use writing and orally given foreign language in

their professional sphere. Figure 3 shows the learning activities in teaching German
business.
Figure 3. Educational activities in teaching German business
In carrying out these activities, students should be able:
to handle receptive and productive wide range of complex and
specialized authentic oral and written texts from an economic context,
to speak German properly, and differentiated according to the situation
on professional and economic matters,
to shape business correspondence 2.
Part of the learning activities in the course of Business German is executed
online. The existing learning environment performs the following functions:

II. Testing and evaluation in foreign language education
Teaching a foreign language is related to the achievement of predetermined
targets. In common language use learning objectives are oriented towards teaching
knowledge and language skills for their application in communication between
people. Verification of foreign language competence is done mostly through tests,
allowing for a relatively objective assessment by the teacher. When teaching a
foreign language by a specialized area towards these objectives is added assimilation
of specific vocabulary, common grammatical structures and the ability to work with
specialized texts through which is implemented professional communication3.
Verification of knowledge and skills of trainees is an important element of the
process of learning a foreign language. It may be performed with the written test or
oral test. The tests check individual speech behaviors (listening, reading, writing) or
their complex use. The test results provide information on the teacher's level of
knowledge and skills in the language of pupils / students and orient themselves
trained their progress. The scientific literature in German often the words "Test /
test" and "Prüfung / current exam" are used interchangeably, sometimes in "test"
means checking knowledge through questions with answers such as gated. Multiple
choice (English. multiple-choice), while in "testing" means establishing performance
with use of open tasks. For the purposes of this study will point out the following
definition of the term 'test'4:
„The tests are test methods that under controlled conditions incite students to
certain behaviors from which (after calculation and elimination of certain
probabilities for errors or measurement errors) can be inferred "hidden" signs of
personality respectively. actual properties such as language skills, structures of
knowledge, beliefs etc.“
3 This section covers the materials of the article: Monev, V. Issues in assessing the knowledge and skills in
teaching specialized language. " magazine. "Dialogue", Svishtov, issue. 2, 2013 4 Vollmer, H. J. (Hrsg.) (2007): Synergieeffekte in der Fremdsprachenforschung. Empirische Zugänge, Probleme,

11 Handbook to Business Deutsch (Business German) - Faber 2016
According Stefanova5 the testing and the evaluation in the field of language
teaching adheres to the following principles: objectivity, validity, reliability, economy,
normiranost. At an objective exam results should be assessed as objectively as
possible by reviewers. In matters of closed type ( "true-false", "select the correct
answer") subjectivity is less because the correct answers are given by the author of
the test and not subject to discussion and assessment. It is more difficult to achieve
objectivity in productive tasks related to speech or writing free text. In this case,
using valuation guidelines, which give detailed instructions to examiners and thus
close their evaluation criteria. An important criterion in drawing up standardized test
is its validity. In checking the language skills, attention is directed exclusively to
linguistic phenomena and other aspects of personality such intelligence must remain
outside inspection. We need to make distinction of tests designed to use common
language and those with professional orientation. The standardized language tests
allow for comprehensive evaluation of the communicative competence of test
persons. Check the receptive listening skills and reading and productive skills of
speaking and writing.
The interactive site for learning a foreign language, discussed above in addition to
Internet Presence courses offers many opportunities for self-assessment of students
through various exercises in grammar, vocabulary and phonetics and programmed
tests to assess the progress. As an example will point the school system in German as
a Foreign Language Studio D. Each lesson in e-learning environment Moodle is from 5
to 7 exercises for independent work for the exercise of grammatical rules and using
new words and phonetic phenomena discussed in the lesson. In doing individual
exercises is done interactive relationship between trainee and training system,
showing mistakes, it allows for their removal and indicate the correct answers.

Figure 5. Language tests of TELC
Figure 5 shows that the language tests differ in language level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1,
C2), and in the field of use of language (general purpose, school, profession,
integration, etc.). Studying a foreign language is related to determining the level of
proficiency in the language. In the tradition speaks of "primary" or "beginner",
"medium" and "advanced" level. While in the first case the level is limited by
ignorance of the language, the average level or the advanced level difficult to define
beyond the subjective expectations. Similar levels occur in association of language
teachers (ALTE), at the Goethe Institute and others. The Framework focuses on
communicative competence of people to use language as a means of communication.
Thus it contributes to a better comparability of language competence of the users of
a language. It discusses three levels: A, B and C, with two sublevels in each.
The specialized training in German (German Deutsch für den Beruf) involves the
use of standardized tests for professional orientation. Basis for successful use of
German for this purpose is the mastery of the language of a minimum level A2
(Deutsch A2 + Beruf) or higher levels according to the Common European Framework.
Table 1 presents the levels A, B and C and sublevels in them.

Basic user
A1 A2
I can understand familiar words and very basic phrases concerning myself, my family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly. I can interact in a simple way provided the other person is prepared to repeat or rephrase things at a slower rate of speech and help me formulate what I'm trying to say. I can ask and answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics.
I can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities. I can handle very short social exchanges, even though I can't usually understand enough to keep the conversation going myself. I can understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment). I can catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.
Independent user
B1 B2
I can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. I can understand the main point of many radio or TV programmes on current affairs or topics of personal or professional interest when the delivery is relatively slow and clear. I can connect phrases in a simple way in order to describe experiences and events, my dreams, hopes and ambitions.
I can understand extended speech and lectures and follow even complex lines of argument provided the topic is reasonably familiar. I can understand most TVnews and current affairs programmes. I can present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to my field of interest. I can explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Proficient user
C1 C2
I can understand extended speech even when it is not clearly structured and when relationships are only implied and not signalled explicitly.I can understand television programmes and films without too much effort. I can present clear, detailed descriptions of complex subjects integrating sub-themes, developing particular points and rounding off with an appropriate conclusion.
I have no difficulty in understanding any kind of spoken language, whether live or broadcast, even when delivered at fast native speed, provided I have some time to get familiar with the accent. I can write clear, smoothly-flowing text in an appropriate style. I can write complex letters, reports or articles which present a case with an effective logical structure.
14 Handbook to Business Deutsch (Business German) - Faber 2016
The data in Table 1 shows that at higher levels of proficiency in a language
possible free communication 6. Minimum level in communicating a language for
professional purposes is accepted A2. When using the Common European Framework
can be drawn school documentation to prepare textbooks with clearly defined
objectives and learning activities to conduct standardized testing. Testing the Test
persons refers to several competencies: reading, listening, speaking, writing, as well
as knowledge of vocabulary and grammar of the language.
The objectives of the test reading can be:
understand the general content of the text,
understanding of the details,
understanding the full content of text,
implement strategies for reading etc.
According the listening comprehension there can be set the following objectives:
understanding of the overall content of listened text,
understanding the details,
taking notes with keywords etc.
In the CEFR distinguished dialogic and monologue speech, so language tests
include tasks which reproduce situations where the speaker itself presents some
information (monologue) and participate in a conversation on a given topic with
another actor (dialogue). Typical descriptors in CEFR is the statement "I can ..." may
indicate that the linguistic framework is a serious attempt at standardizing the
educational institutions and the assessment of achievements in language learning.
The document in question is aimed primarily at common language use and
logically expect that language learners will master the language levels evenly, ie they
will develop the same level their skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking. It is,
however, that the use of language in the professional field skills are used at different
levels: one economist will rely heavily on the skill of reading for information gathering
and the skill of writing in conducting business correspondence as a tour guide will use 6 Goethe-Institute online at http://www.goethe.de/ins/cz/prj/ets/meh/ref/bgindex.htm

predominately ability to monologue and dialogic speech. This requires differentiation
of learning objectives in relation to priority verbal behaviors typical in a profession7.
The above theoretical considerations are reflected in the tests used in the
school system Business Deutsch. They checked knowledge of the terminology, ability
to understand and practical application of syntax structures typical of specialized
languages (increased use of the passive voice and structures with functional verbs)
compliance with the formal signs in written and oral communications and other.
