In the heat of the battle, a thermal imaging camera is indispensable – a vital tool that helps you quickly visualize your plan of attack, locate hot spots, and save lives.

Every firefighter should have a TIC. With FLIR K-Series and the new K2, that's more feasible than ever before.

Affordable K-Series TICs offer new, easier ways to see more clearly in the darkest, smokiest environments by showing big, bright FLIR images to help you maneuver

more strategically, stay better oriented, and find victims faster.

With greater situational awareness, you’ll improve safety and the likelihood of successful outcomes.

FLIR IN-TRUCK CHARGERThe FLIR In-truck charger can be easily mounted inside of a fire fighting truck. Together with an extra battery, the FLIR K-Series is being charged while mounted in the charger. The FLIR in-truck charger has to be ordered as an optional accessory.

FSX™ - FLEXIBLE SCENE ENHANCEMENTDetails in the thermal image are enhanced through digital image processing inside the camera. The result is an ultra-sharp thermal image that shows more detail. FSX makes it easier for firefighters to find their way in smoke filled rooms. Even in scenes with extreme temperature dynamics that are typical for a firefighting environment.

FLIR K-SERIES FEATURESSo affordable, now every fire truck and firefighter can carry one FLIR develops and manufactures more thermal imaging cameras than any other company. Thanks to economies of scale, FLIR is able to offer the K-Series at an extremely affordable price.

Rugged & reliable The K-Series is designed to meet tough operating conditions. It can withstand a drop from 2 meters onto a concrete floor, is water resistant (IP67), and is fully operational up to +500°F (over a 5 minute duration). The K65 complies fully with the NFPA 1801:2013 standard for thermal imaging cameras used by firefighters.

Clear and crisp thermal images The maintenance free uncooled microbolometer sensor produces clear and detail rich images of 240 x 180 pixels (K45) or 320 x 240 pixels (K55 & K65). Thermal images are presented on a large bright 4” display helping you navigate and make quick and accurate decisions.

Produce simple reports Thermal images can be stored in the FLIR K-Series and later be used to produce simple reports of what happened at the scene.

Easy to use, even with gloves on An intuitive and simple user interface allows you to focus on the job at hand. The K45, K55 and K65 can be controlled by 3 large buttons.

In-Camera video storage - K55 & K65 All models can store 200 still image files. The K55 and K65 can also record 200 video clips (up to 5 minutes each) -- ideal for on site assessment and for training purposes.

Mode select

Zoom

For use in context with higher background temperatures where a lot of open flames are present, particularly in structural fires.

FIRE

For initial fire attack and life rescuing operations.

TI BASIC

Same as the TI Basic mode but a grey scale image.

BLACK AND WHITE FIRE FIGHTING

For use with lower temperature situations, such as initial rescue efforts after traffic accidents, searches in wooded landscapes, etc.

SEARCH & RESCUE

Used for finding hotspots. The hottest 20% of the scene is colored in red.

FLIR K2The new extremely affordable TIC for every firefighter

The K2 is a rugged, reliable, and extremely economical thermal imaging camera that is specially designed for firefighting applications and severe conditions. Producing thermal images at 160 x 120 pixel resolution displayed on a bright 3” screen, the K2 helps firefighters find their way through thick smoke, assess situations with confidence, and expedite decisions.

A new level of affordabilityThe K2’s economical price makes powerful thermal imaging more accessible to more firefighters – a small investment that can help pay big dividends when it comes to safety, saving lives, and protecting property.

Compact and easy to useK2 is a compact, light thermal imaging camera that can be easily attached to SCBA gear. An intuitive user interface lets firefighters focus on the job at hand. And a single large button makes the camera simple to activate even with heavy gloves on.

Rugged & reliableEngineered to survive tough operating conditions, the K2 withstands a 2-meter drop onto concrete, is water resistant (IP67) and is fully operational up to +500°F (for up to 3 minutes).

Multiple image modesK2 can be set to one of five different imaging modes depending on the primary use of the unit. Modes can be changed using the FLIR Tools software program that can be downloaded for free from www.flir.com.

Multi-spectral dynamic imaging (MSX®)The K2 uses FLIR’s patented MSX technology that etches key details from the built-in visible light camera onto the thermal image, helping firefighters identify structures and surroundings without compromising the thermal image.

Multiple firefighting applications

Use the K2 for a wide variety of firefighting applications. See through smoke to help guide your team and prioritize their fire attack efforts. Find stranded victims faster under the murkiest conditions. Scan for hotspots during overhaul. And deploy the K2 for SAR missions.
