Our commitment to sustainabilityBuilding products are a key resource for developing a sustain-able society, but the industry we are in also carries a number of responsibilities — to the environ-ment, to the community and most importantly, to the safety of our workforce. Hanson Pipe & Precast’s sustainability programs are designed to provide a safe working environment for our employees and to minimize the impact of our operations on the communities in which we operate. We demonstrate this commitment in how we run our business, develop new products and manage and restore our excavation sites.

Concrete is second only to water as the world’s most widely used building material. To this end, we

developed a proprietary calculator to determine our value to your project’s LEED® compliance. Hanson Pipe & Precast’s products are recycled. Approximately 80% of steel is recycled and fly ash, which would otherwise end up in a landfill, is re-used. Regionally, the majority of our components are extracted within a 100-mile radius of our manufacturing facilities.

Sustainable and smartNo other alternative material provides the inherent quality, value and permanence of precast concrete. The availability, durability and reliability of Hanson Pipe & Precast’s concrete structures make us the right choice for projects large and small. Our complete product line, coupled with superior technical and field support, will help you build a better world.

“Hanson Pipe & Precast has been an integral part of our team for 23 plus years,

and we are grateful for the good products, excellent service, competitive prices and

solid friendship they have provided.”

So many usesBrick can be used in nearly all exterior cladding situations where a highly durable, low-maintenance, structurally sound and energy efficient wall finish is desired. Other applications include decorating interior living situations for a warm, traditional look and creating shapes and sculptures to enhance commercial and institutional projects.

Quality guaranteedHanson Brick fully backs the quality and performance of our brick with a detailed warranty, and each product is manufactured to meet or exceed applicable ASTM and CSA standards. With little or no maintenance, our bricks will endure for many years to come.

A sustainable solutionHanson Brick’s clay brick is energy efficient, cost effective and environ-mentally friendly, manufactured from naturally abundant materials that do not off-gas VOCs or other toxic materials. Old brick can be reclaimed, cleaned and sold for new buildings and homes or crushed to provide landscaping materials or even make kitty litter. The National Institute for Stan-dards and Technology gives brick a 100-year life, so quick replace-ment is not an issue.

“We selected Hanson Brick for this sizeable project because they’re

a prominent brick manufacturer with a reputation for dependable,

long-lasting and consistent products.”

Page 17: HansonOverview

Extensive product lineHanson Roof Tile’s concrete tile is beautiful, durable and safe. It creates instant “curb appeal” and is available in a wide variety of design inspired colors and profiles that can enhance any exterior style. Our manufacturing facilities in Arizona, California, Florida and Texas provide a broad footprint of regionally appealing products.

Hanson Roof Tile products can emulate the appearance of clay, slate and cedar shake roofs for a variety of architectural styles. We can manufacture concrete roof tile surfaces as textured or smooth, with uniform or ragged edges. We mix one color, blended colors or a combination of shades to create uniform or random patterns for a more broad color palette than clay roof tiles. Colors, styles and formulas are continuously re-evaluated to ensure they meet the demands of customers, builders, developers and architects. Concrete tile roofing is virtually maintenance free as well as structurally superior and longer lasting than other traditional roofing materials. Hanson Roof Tile’s product is Class A fire rated, the highest fire resistance rating available. Properly installed, it is proven to withstand wind speeds in excess of 125 miles per hour.

Hanson Roof Tile is dedicated to providing not only the best quality roof tile, but also unparalleled service and personalized attention. Hanson Roof Tile is the only name you need for concrete roof tile and the exceptional service behind it.

A sustainable solutionHanson Roof Tile’s concrete tile is energy efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly, manufactured from non-toxic materials including sand, cement and water. And old concrete roof tiles can be recycled to create new tiles and other products. Due to the extreme durability of concrete roof tile, its cost is distributed over an extended life cycle. Hanson Roof Tile carries a lifetime limited product warranty. Many of Hanson Roof Tile’s prod-ucts meet the Cool Roof Rating Council’s guidelines, allowing homeowners in some regions to receive utility rebates. These products increase the overall energy efficiency of the building and help reduce the heat island effect found in urban areas.

By achieving a solar reflective index (SRI) greater than 29 for steep sloped roofs, many products can also help achieve credits for reducing heat island effect in USGBC’s LEED® for Homes and LEED® for Building Design & Construction rating systems.
