PERMIT NO. 239 Vol. 124 No. 03 PUBLISHED MONTHLY June 2010 Dear Members, June is here already. Our First Saturday Nite with snacks went over well with another one scheduled for June 26th. Mother’s Day Brunch went over very well, with about 110 people attending. We were a little short hand- ed on clean up (remember volunteers are always needed in the kitchen for cooking and especially clean up). June 4th is DJ Nite at the Lodge. DJ Marsha will be entertaining all the karaoke singers. Also, DJ Marsha will be here June 18th for the lite fair in the Lounge. Friday, June 11th will be a special day at the Lodge. Whitehall native Dennis Downs was injured in Afghanistan and we will be putting on a dinner to benefit him and his family, so that they will be able to travel to Texas as he undergoes treatment. We’re hoping for a large turnout to help support them. Dinner will be Pot Roast with all the trimmings and dessert. Sunday, June 13th will be our Flag Day Ceremony, with a beautiful service. Let’s try to beat last year’s attendance. Also, we would like donations for the refresh- ments from our Lodge members to be enjoyed after the service. Also, on the 14th will be our Indoctrination Dinner followed by Initiation on the 17th. This will be our first one of the year. We will try to serve lunches again on June 2nd. If you are free on Wednesday’s we are still looking for help in the kitchen. Also, on the 21st will be our PER Dinner with elections. Fraternally, PER DAVID JONES Exalted Ruler THANK YOU!! June is here already. Our First Saturday Nite with snacks went over well with another one scheduled for June 26th. Mother’s Day Brunch went over very well, with about 110 people attending. flag daYOur annual Flag Day Ceremony will be held on Sunday,

June 13th beginning at 12 Noon. Upon completion of the in-door programs we will proceed to the outdoors to participate in a formal, respectful Flag Retirement Ceremony.

Flags of members as well as the public, which are unsuit-able for display, will be accepted for retirement during this ceremony. Flags may be left in the Lodge’s main entry lobby prior to the ceremony or brought to the lodge on the 13th.

We urge members to attend, bring a guest and advise oth-ers of this event. Light refreshments will be served following the proceedings.
