The Year of Mercy
“Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look
kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair,
nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is
Love and Mercy Itself.”
Diary of St. Faustina (950)
Welcome Fr. LaMorte
We are very blessed to have Fr. LaMorte join us here at St. Joseph’s. Father recently resigned from
campus ministry at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, so that he could devote more of his time to parish
ministry. Presently, he has been assisting with Sunday Masses, but in the months ahead he will become
more available in other areas of parish life. We welcome him and thank God for the gift of his Priestly
ministry among us.

would like to express our sincere thanks for the overwhelming
support of its inaugural Spirit of Service dinner honoring Msgr. Brinn, Les McCarthy and IBM. We were able to exceed
our fundraising goal thanks to our sponsors, journal ad
purchases, donors and attendees. Our Dutchess County parish
community played a vital role in our success, creating a
wonderful evening of celebration. Money raised will help us to
continue our services and programs to our Dutchess County

June — Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
(Prayed daily by Padre Pio for all those who asked his prayers.)
I. O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, ask and it will be given you, seek and you will
find, knock and it will be opened to you.’ Behold, I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of ….
Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be to the Father…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
II. O my Jesus, You have said, ’Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name,
he will give it to you.’ Behold, in Your name, I ask the Father for the grace of …
Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be to the Father…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
III. O my Jesus, You have said, ’Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my
words will not pass away.’ Encouraged by Your infallible words, I now ask for the grace of…
Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be to the Father…
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted,
have pity on us poor sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful
and Immaculate heart of Mary, Your tender mother and ours.
