Barbara Joan (nee Rosser)Barbara passed away the evening of February 12, 2013 at her Daughter Alison's home, in her 80th year, after a brief illness, surrounded by family in Milton ON. Wife to beloved Husband Syd and Mother to Douglas Bowman (Helen), Andrea Bauman, and Alison Adams (Mikhael), Step-Mother to Leslie Poleshni (Tom), Martin Weatherall (Cathy); Grandmother to Kate, Harrison and Alex to whom she inspired courage, wisdom and laughter; Step-Grandmother to Renny Chambers (George), Ryan Duquette (Monique), Steven Bond (Alison); Step-Great Grandmother to Nathan, Avery, and Lia. She is predeceased by her fi rst Husband Stanley Douglas Bowman October 4, 2001. Ordained by the Lutheran Evangelical Church, she served as Pastor at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Kitchener-Waterloo from 1986 to 1998, and she will now rest in peace in the hands of God. An avid reader with a lifelong commitment to learning, she was beloved by many during her years of ministry, as well as in the Milton Community where she spent her retirement years close to family and friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at the McKERSIE-KOCHER FUNERAL HOME 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church 54 Benton Street Kitchener on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon.
